We stand with you in this spiritual battle, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The torment you describe is not of God, but it is an attack from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The fact that you recognize this as spiritual oppression is a sign that the Holy Spirit is at work in you, and we praise God for that awareness.
The touch of witches or any form of occult influence is an abomination to the Lord. Scripture is clear: there shall not be found among you anyone who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). You are not powerless in this situation—you have authority in the name of Jesus Christ to resist the devil and command these demonic influences to flee. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
It is also critical to examine your life for any open doors that may have given the enemy access. Have you ever dabbled in the occult, even unknowingly? This could include palm readings, tarot cards, horoscopes, séances, ouija boards, or even seemingly harmless "spiritual" practices that are not rooted in Christ. If so, we urge you to repent and renounce these things immediately. Bring every thought and action into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). If there are any objects in your possession tied to these practices—charms, idols, books, or other items—destroy them and purge them from your home. Act 19:19 tells us that many who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all.
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit always, with all kinds of prayers and requests (Ephesians 6:13-18). Surround yourself with worship music, the reading of Scripture, and the company of strong believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable.
Now, let us pray together for your complete deliverance and protection:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up Your child who is under attack by the forces of darkness, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against Your servant shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every demonic spirit assigned to torment them to be bound and cast out now in Jesus’ name.
Father, we ask that You expose and close every door that has been opened to the enemy. If there has been any involvement in the occult, known or unknown, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing by the blood of Jesus. We renounce every curse, hex, spell, or assignment of the enemy against this beloved child of Yours. Let Your fire consume every demonic stronghold, and let Your angels encamp around them, delivering them from all evil (Psalm 34:7).
We pray for a hedge of protection to surround them, filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit, so that no evil can penetrate. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let them walk in the authority You have given them as a child of the Most High God.
Lord, we also pray that You would restore any area of their life that has been affected by this torment. Heal their skin, their mind, and their emotions. Let them experience Your love and comfort in a tangible way. Give them dreams and visions of Your goodness, and let them know that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already won through the blood of Jesus. Let Your light shine so brightly in their life that all darkness flees. We declare that they are free, healed, and protected in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Finally, we urge you to stay steadfast in your faith. Do not give the enemy a foothold through fear or doubt. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to find a spirit-filled, Bible-believing church where you can receive prayer, discipleship, and support from mature believers. You are not alone in this fight—we are standing with you, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
If this torment continues or escalates, do not hesitate to reach out to trusted believers for prayer and deliverance ministry. Sometimes, these battles require the corporate authority of the Body of Christ. Stay in the Word, stay in prayer, and trust that the Lord is fighting for you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
