We are truly saddened to hear about the disrespect and cruelty that your siblings and their families are facing from their brothers-in-law. It is clear that this situation is painful and distressing, and our hearts go out to you and your loved ones.
Firstly, let us address the core issue here. The Bible tells us to honor and respect one another, especially within families. In Ephesians 4:32 WEB, it says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." And in 1 Peter 2:17 WEB, "Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king."
However, the behavior of these brothers-in-law is far from what the Bible teaches. It is important to rebuke such behavior and pray for a change of heart. In Proverbs 16:18 WEB, it says, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." And in Galatians 5:15 WEB, "But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another."
Let us pray together for God's intervention and guidance.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, You see the pain and suffering that these brothers-in-law are causing. We pray for a change of heart, that You would soften their hearts and turn them away from their cruel and disrespectful behavior. We pray to stop the hatred and desire for death toward others.
Father, we also pray for protection and comfort for the siblings and their families. Help them to forgive and to love even in the face of such treatment, just as You have loved and forgiven us. Guide them with Your wisdom and strength, and help them to respond in a way that honors You.
Lord, we know that it is only through the power of Jesus Christ that hearts can be changed and relationships can be restored. We pray for salvation of the brothers-in-law and the sibling's families if they do not already know Jesus. We pray to be reconciled toward each other. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Amen.
In closing, remember that God is just and He will not let the innocent suffer forever. Continue to pray and trust in Him, and encourage your siblings to do the same. Stand firm in your faith and do not let bitterness take root in your hearts. As it says in Romans 12:19 WEB, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Lastly, we should remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:44 WEB, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."
