Thank you for sharing these burdens so honestly. I hear the pressure you are feeling with yard work that needs to be done, the stress of someone pressing on you, the need for a doctor to cooperate with an accommodation letter, and the simple but urgent need for real rest and strength for appointments ahead.

Scripture speaks of a rest that remains for the people of God, and it invites us to enter that rest through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work. That rest is not found in our own efforts or skill or striving, but in believing that He has done all that is needed and that He can be trusted to carry what we cannot. When our hearts are anxious and unsettled, God does not want us to stay in that place of turmoil and worry. He wants to bring us into a quiet confidence where we can say, the Lord will take care of it.

Part of entering that rest is commitment. The psalmist says to commit your works to the Lord and to trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass. That means doing what you can faithfully and then placing the outcome in His hands. You can commit the yard work to Him, the weather you cannot control, the response of the doctor, and the pressure you feel from others. As you commit your way to Him, you can rest in Him and wait patiently for Him, rather than fretting over people or circumstances. God sees those who may be difficult toward you, and He is able to handle them in His own way and time.

Jesus also gives a personal invitation, come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. He promises rest for your soul when you come to Him, turn your life over to Him, and learn of Him. It is a rest that acknowledges who He is, His power and goodness, and simply rests on Him when our own resources feel stretched thin.

I have prayed for you, that the Lord would give you wisdom and favor regarding the accommodation letter, that He would grant cooperation where it is needed, and that He would lift the weight of pressure you feel from others. I have asked Him to provide for the practical needs of your yard work according to His will, and above all to grant you deep, refreshing sleep now and alertness and strength for your urgent appointments. May He quiet your heart from anxiety and strife and bring you into that steady rest that comes from trusting Him.

Father, thank You for Your promise of rest for Your people through Jesus Christ. We bring these needs to You and commit each one into Your hands, the work to be done, the weather, the people involved, the doctor's decision, and the need for sleep and strength. Help this dear one to cease from striving and to rest in Your finished work and Your faithful care. Give peace in place of worry, and let Your will be done in each situation. In Jesus' name, amen.

May you know His peace as you trust Him today, believing that He is able to take care of what concerns you.
