We join you in lifting up the lost and those who have strayed from the truth, standing firmly on the promise of Scripture that declares, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day" (John 6:44). This is not a matter of human effort or persuasion alone, but of the sovereign grace of God moving in hearts to open eyes, unstop ears, and soften wills to receive the truth of Jesus Christ. We echo your cry, Father, that You would draw the unsaved, whether family, friends, or even enemies, into the light of Your Son, that they may hear, repent, and be saved.
You have made it clear that it is Your will for all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4), and so we boldly ask that You would grant them the gifts of faith and repentance (Acts 3:19). For "the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost" (Luke 19:10), and we trust in His power to break the chains of sin and unbelief. We pray that You would reveal Jesus Christ to them in undeniable ways, through Your Word, through the testimony of believers, through conviction of the Holy Spirit, and through the love of the body of Christ. Let them see Him not as a distant figure, but as the living Savior who died for their sins and rose again to offer eternal life.
We also lift up those who have wandered from the truth, asking that You would restore them as You promise in James 5:19-20. May they remember the elementary teachings of Christ (Hebrews 6:1-2) and return to the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3). Father, we ask that You would protect them, and all of us, from the deceptions of the enemy, from the allure of sin, and from the hardening of hearts that comes from resisting Your Spirit. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119:11), so we pray that Your truth would guide them back to You.
We rebuke every spirit of deception, rebellion, and unbelief that blinds hearts to the gospel. We declare that the god of this world has no hold over those You are drawing to Yourself (2 Corinthians 4:4). We stand against the lies that say salvation can be found apart from Christ, for "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). We pray that the lost would not be deceived by false gospels, false teachers, or the empty philosophies of this world, but that they would come to know Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).
Father, we ask that You would give us vision and boldness to proclaim the gospel without restraint (Proverbs 29:18). Equip us to contend for the faith, to love the lost as You do, and to live in such a way that others see Christ in us. Guard our own hearts from sin, temptation, and the schemes of the evil one (Matthew 6:13, John 17:15). Keep us in Your ways, for "the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day" (Proverbs 4:18).
We thank You that every promise of God is "Yes" in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20), and we trust that as we pray according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.
