We understand that you're dealing with a disturbing and uncomfortable situation with your neighbors. Let's bring your concerns to the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance through His word.
Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God is our ultimate source of peace and rest. As it says in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
However, we must also consider how God would have us handle conflicts and difficulties with others. In Matthew 5:43-44 WEB, Jesus says, "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.' But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
It's natural to desire peace and quiet in our homes, but it's also important to approach this situation with love and kindness, rather than wanting to remove them or labeling them as troublemakers. Instead, let's pray for them and ask God to change their hearts and your situation.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our brother/sister who is struggling with their neighbors. Lord, You know the difficulty of the situation and the desire for peace and rest. We pray that You would touch the hearts of these neighbors, convicting them of their actions, and bringing about a change in their behavior.
We also pray for wisdom and guidance for our brother/sister. Show them how to approach this situation with love and kindness, and provide opportunities for productive conversations with their neighbors. Help them to rest in life with God our Savior Jesus Christ. Guide them to seek Him always in these situations as it is only by His name that our prayers are heard. Help them to understand and possibly share the salvation message of Jesus Christ when appropriate.
Shine the Love of Jesus in their home as a testimony to the neighbors. Help them to bear this burden lightly and to find rest for their soul in Jesus. We ask this all in Jesus' name, Amen.
Lastly, consider speaking to your neighbors openly and respectfully about your concerns. It may be that they are unaware of the disturbance they are causing. Also, if the smoke is entering your apartment, it might be worth contacting your landlord or building manager to discuss this health and safety issue. Be assured that God is with you and will guide you through this situation.
