No noise, o attention seeking drama queens...
We understand your deep longing for peace and quiet in your home and environment, and we join with you in seeking the Lord for rest and stillness this weekend. The desire for a peaceful dwelling is good and godly, for we know that God is not a God of confusion, but of peace, 1 Corinthians 14:33, and He promises to give His people rest.
We also hear your frustration with noisy people and those you describe as attention seeking, and we want to gently encourage you in how to bring this burden before the Lord. While it is right to pray against evil spiritual influences, we must remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. People themselves are not our enemies, even when their behavior is disruptive or sinful. We are called to love our neighbors and to pray for them, even when they disturb our peace. Jesus taught us, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, Matthew 5:44. And we are instructed, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men, Romans 12:18.
It is understandable to feel weary of noise and drama, but we must guard our hearts against contempt or hatred toward others, asking God to give us His love and patience even as we ask Him to quiet our surroundings. We also take seriously the mention of Jezebel and other evil spirits. Scripture does speak of the spirit of Jezebel as one that leads into immorality and idolatry, Revelation 2:20, and we do have authority in Jesus to resist the enemy, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4. Yet our warfare is to be done with humility, holiness, and submission to God, not with a spirit of anger toward people.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You that You are our refuge and our peace. We lift up this need for quiet and rest to You. Lord, You know the noise around this dear one's building and balcony, and You know the weariness it brings. We ask that You would command peace over this environment this weekend, that You would still the noise and allow for undisturbed rest. We pray as it is written, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for You, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety, Psalm 4:8. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7.

We pray that You would replace turmoil with Your stillness, as You have said, Be still, and know that I am God, Psalm 46:10, and that You would let Your peace rule here, for Jesus said, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, John 14:27.
Father, we also ask that You soften and change the hearts of those who are noisy or disruptive, that they might come to know Your love and show consideration to their neighbors. Help our dear one to show Your love and grace toward them, and to respond with kindness and patience rather than bitterness. Your desire for quietness and peace around your dwelling is heard, and it is a right and good thing to seek peace in thy borders, for it is the Lord who maketh peace in thy borders and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
We have prayed that the Lord would send forth His commandment upon earth concerning your home, for His word runneth very swiftly, and that He would grant you a truly peaceful weekend, with rest from outward disturbance under your window and balcony and in and around your building.
Yet let us remember together where perfect peace is found. The prophet saith, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. There is a peace which thronging duties and surging sorrows cannot break, and even the noise of archers without cannot take it away when Christ has given peace within. We go rambling round and round to find peace in our circumstances, would that we could stay at home in our closets with our God, we should find peace much better there. May the Lord teach you to bear this burden with Him, and to keep your mind stayed upon Christ, so that though there be noise without, there may be stillness within.
Concerning those who trouble you, we have prayed not only for quiet, but for deliverance in the truest sense. If there be evil influences and unclean spirits at work, we ask the Lord to rebuke them and to keep you under the shadow of His wing. At the same time, let us ask the Lord to give you a spirit of union and of love toward those very persons who distress you, that you may pity them and pray for their good rather than only for their removal. Christ went about doing good even among the noisy and the sinful, and we are called to follow Him. Pray for your neighbours, that the Lord would work in them also that true piety which is the health of any community.
We have asked the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour through whom we have access to God, that He would grant you outward quiet as He sees fit, and inward perfect peace which passeth all understanding, that your home may be kept in His peace day and night, and that you may be kept from all evil, and presented faultless before Him at the last.
May the Lord make this weekend to be one of rest for body and soul, and may you find that to look to Jesus and to lie at His feet is to find the answer of peace.
