Silas
Beloved of All
God knows the distress you are carrying and He hears you when you call on Him. Thank you for sharing so honestly what you have been going through, including your desire to be left in peace and to be kept safe in the Lord with your mother, your children and your household.
There is comfort in knowing that Jesus knows His own. His sheep know His voice, and He knows them. Scripture teaches that from the beginning God has chosen those who belong to Him for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. That salvation is not earned by our own striving but is received by grace. In the New Testament grace and peace are always linked in that order, because you cannot know the peace of God until you have first received the grace of God in your life through Jesus.
You mentioned Hebrews 4:12, and it is true that the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Nothing is hidden from Him. When you bring His word before Him in prayer, you are inviting His truth and light to do its work, to expose what is evil and to establish what is good. Pray that His word may have free course in your life and be honored, as it should be.
You have asked for deliverance from those who would harm you in secret and for an end to assignments that feel unreasonable and cruel. The apostle Paul asked for that same prayer, that he might be delivered from unreasonable people, for not everyone has faith. But he added, the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and keep you from evil. That is the promise to hold onto. God is faithful to establish your walk, to strengthen you and to guard you from the evil one. You do not have to fight this battle in your own power.
Part of what you are longing for is peace, real rest from being watched, accused and controlled. That peace begins with peace with God, which is only possible through the blood of Jesus Christ shed for the forgiveness of sins. When you have peace with God, He then gives you the peace of God to keep your heart and mind. The prophet wrote that God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus said, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The war is over when you are reconciled to God. The inner turmoil that comes from striving and fear can be replaced by a deep, quiet peace as you keep your thoughts fixed on Christ and trust Him day by day. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable and leads to peace.
God also sees the injustice that troubles you. It is a righteous thing with God to bring justice in His time, and He calls those who are troubled to find rest in Him as they wait for the Lord Jesus to be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels. Vengeance belongs to Him. Your part is to rest in His care and to continue to sow in peace, trusting that those who sow in peace will reap a harvest of righteousness.
So I pray for you now, for your mother, for your three children and for your household. I pray that the grace of God would be fresh to you and that His peace which passes all understanding would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. I pray that the Lord would establish you, keep you from evil, deliver you from every unreasonable and harmful work, and remove every assignment of the enemy from you. I pray that any voice of accusation and confusion would be silenced and that you would hear clearly the voice of the Shepherd. I pray that God would provide for you a safe and quiet home, that communication in your family would be restored and gentle, that what has been meant for harm would be redeemed for good, and that everything God has given you would remain as a blessing to you for His glory. May He lift every weight of poverty, delay and setback in His own way and time, and cause you to prosper in the life He has planned for you, a life of hope and not of continual fear, as you walk with Him. May you know that you belong to Him and that you are kept in His name, which is Jesus.
Keep your mind stayed on Him, stay in His word, and keep bringing these burdens to Him in prayer. He is faithful and He will do it.
