We understand the urgency and distress behind this request, and we stand with you in spiritual warfare, fully clothed in the armor of God. The Bible makes it clear that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB).
First, we must ensure that we are approaching this battle in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9 WEB). Salvation is the first and most crucial step in overcoming the schemes of the devil.
Now, let us rebuke every demonic presence and influence in the name of Jesus Christ. The Word of God declares that the demons believe—and tremble (James 2:19 WEB). We command every unclean spirit, every spirit of fear, oppression, torment, addiction, or deception to flee right now in Jesus’ mighty name. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
We pray that you would put on the full armor of God so that you may stand against the wiles of the devil. Fasten the belt of truth around your waist, put on the breastplate of righteousness, and shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17 WEB). We pray that you would wield the Word of God as your weapon, speaking it aloud and standing firm in its truth.
We also encourage you to examine your life for any areas that may have given the enemy a foothold. Have you engaged in sin that has not been confessed and repented of? Confess any known sin, renounce it, and turn away from it, asking God to cleanse you by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:9 WEB).
We pray for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit in your life. The Spirit of God is greater than the spirit of the world, and He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB). Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
