Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and for wanting to walk in God's blessing and life. I hear your longing to be free from fear and worry, to see your family, friends and even your pets cared for, to have provision for your needs, and to know deep personal peace and wholeness again through Jesus.
The verse you mentioned comes from a powerful moment in Scripture. God had the people stand in the valley with blessings declared from one mountain and curses from the other, and after each warning the people were to answer Amen, agreeing that God is just and right in what He says about obedience and disobedience. When you read Deuteronomy 27 and 28 you find the blessings laid out with a clear condition, if you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God and keep His commandments. The promise that you would be the head and not the tail was part of that covenant with Israel. There are only a few verses of blessing and many more of curse, which shows how serious disobedience is and how much the people needed God's mercy.
That is why your words about being alive inside with the blood of Jesus are so important. The good news of the gospel is that Jesus took the curse upon Himself so that we who trust in Him are not trying to earn God's favor or talk blessings into existence by our own declarations. Favor with God is not something we earn by our words or efforts. It is a gift of grace received through faith in Christ, and it leads us to want to listen to Him and obey Him out of love.
God is not limited to a formula or a moment where we claim a miracle, and He does not bless us because we have earned it. He is sovereign and loving, and He works miracles according to His own wisdom and will as we humbly trust Him. Speaking life into existence does not move God, but coming to Him honestly, confessing our need, and asking Him to do His will does.
So I will pray for you that you will know the life that comes only through Jesus, that you will rest in His finished work and not in trying to earn His blessing, that He will provide for your daily needs according to His perfect will, that He will guard your family and friends and give you peace from worry, and that you will grow in hearing His voice and walking in obedience. May you experience the freedom of knowing you are made alive in Christ, not because you have earned it, but because His blood was shed for you, and may that life shape who you are becoming in Him.
Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. Thank You for the blood of Jesus that gives life. I ask that You remove fear and bring peace, provide for needs, watch over family and loved ones, and help this heart to trust not in declarations or earning favor but in Your grace. Lead into obedience, joy and wholeness in Christ. Amen.
