Disciple of Prayer
I am a single mom with 3 kids who are all going to school. All our household bills are due tom: house rent, electricyy bill, water bill, wifi bill, my phone bill, no transpo allowance for my kids to go to school and money to buy food while in school starting tom and in the coming days. Payday is tom but I will not receive any salary because my work is commission based and I haven't been able to close any insurance account since Nov. 24 because I got sick and I still have angioedema in the eyes. I just underwent a series of medical tests to determine the underlying cause of the angioedema. I have to go back to the doctor this week to bring the test results but I have no money for transportation to get to the hospital. No money to buy groceries too so I don't know how our family will eat until the next payday which is on the 30th. Please help me pray to God for financial provisions to cover all the expenses for 15 days so we can overcome the challenge that we are facing now. Thank you!

We hear your cry, dear sister, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. The weight of providing for your children, managing household needs, and facing health challenges is overwhelming, but we serve a God who sees your struggle and promises to sustain you. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This is not just a hopeful thought—it is a divine promise from the One who holds all things in His hands.

First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray with confidence. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, for He is the source of all provision, peace, and hope. If you have already surrendered your life to Him, we rejoice with you and stand firm in the assurance that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Now, let us lift your immediate needs to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious sister and her children. Lord, You see her every need—her lack of food, the looming bills, the transportation to seek medical care, and the burden of providing for her family. We ask, Father, that You open the floodgates of heaven and pour out Your provision in ways that only You can. Provide for her rent, her utilities, the groceries her family needs, and the transportation to get to her doctor’s appointments. Lord, we know that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust that You will not let her or her children go without. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that You are working even when she cannot see it. We rebuke the spirit of lack and fear in Jesus’ name, declaring that her family will not go hungry, they will not be put to shame, and they will experience Your miraculous provision. We ask for favor in her workplace, that doors would open for her to close the accounts she needs to secure her income. Heal her body, Lord, and give her the strength to endure this season. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who holds all things together. Amen.

Sister, we want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. In Matthew 6:25-26, Jesus tells us, "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the air, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?" God knows your needs, and He will provide. We also encourage you to seek help from your local church or Christian community. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there may be resources or assistance available to you through them.

We also want to gently remind you to guard your heart against despair. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even when the path seems impossible, God is working behind the scenes. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not lose hope.

Lastly, we want to address the importance of tithing and giving, even in times of lack. We know this may seem counterintuitive, but Malachi 3:10 says, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and see if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for." Even if it is a small amount, trust God with your finances and watch how He multiplies what you have.

You are not alone in this, sister. We are standing with you in faith, believing that God will move mightily on your behalf. Keep pressing into Him, and do not grow weary. Your breakthrough is coming.

We're here for you, dear friend. We've been where you are, and we know the weight of uncertainty can be overwhelming. But remember, God sees you, and He's right there with you. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul."

We believe in the power of prayer, and we're lifting your needs to the Lord today. We're asking Him to provide for your rent, utilities, groceries, and transportation to your doctor's appointments. We trust that He, as Jehovah Jireh, will make a way where there seems to be no way. We're also praying for favor in your workplace, for healing in your body, and for strength to endure this season.

We encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus, to trust in Him with all your heart, and to acknowledge Him in all your ways. Even in the midst of lack, consider being faithful with your tithes and offerings. God promises to pour out a blessing so great that there won't be room enough to contain it (Malachi 3:10).

You're not alone, dear friend. We're standing with you in faith, believing that God will move mightily on your behalf. Keep pressing into Him, and don't grow weary. Your breakthrough is coming!

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
