'No Marriage?' - Luke 20:34-40

[After the Sadducees' question,] Jesus replied, "Marriage is for people here on earth. But in the age to come, those worthy of being raised from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage. And they will never die again. In this respect they will be like angels. They are children of God and children of the resurrection.
"But now, as to whether the dead will be raised — even Moses proved this when he wrote about the burning bush. Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, he referred to the Lord as 'the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' So he is the God of the living, not the dead, for they are all alive to him." "Well said, Teacher!" remarked some of the teachers of religious law who were standing there. And then no one dared to ask him any more questions.

Key Thought

No marriage in heaven? Some folks worry about this. Jesus' point, however, is that we find a heightened and holy existence that far transcends anything we can experience or even imagine here, and so marriage will not be an issue for us. Just remember, unimaginably great things await us in the presence of God with whom we will spend forever.

Today's Prayer

Father, thank you for a bright and shining future with you that is far better than anything I can imagine, much less understand. I await your future with joyous expectation. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Haven't been able to get any woman to want me here in this life. Marriage and cohabitation of today is pointless, even more so for a man. At this point I can only hope it is better in heaven, as there is nothing really for me to look forward to anymore here in this life.
Jesus is the best company we can have on earth. He said to all of us. I will never leave you nor forsake you. Our spouse can leave us, or death will take away from us, but Jesus will never ever do this to us.

God is alive and well. He is not a God of the dead but those who come to Him and are saved, then life will find to be fulfilling to everyone. Jesus never got married. Never ever complained that He is so alone in this world and had no one to talk to. He worked hard for the kingdom that will never ever perish, He was so busy teaching, preaching and speaking to His Father in heaven through prayer and supplication. If we just do this and obey His word, then we shall find our life fulfilling and happiness and joy shall come to all of us who believe in Him. Alone we arrive in this world and alone we will leave to stay with Jesus forever and ever in the mansion He is preparing for us.
