NO LOUD TV please - day or night, remove him

Natasha 2

Beloved of All
My neighbour is listening tv very loud. Probably the young rebellious man with whom i have problems for years. Narcissistique traits. Mean. Aggressive. Rude. Cursing. Wants to be the smartest in the room and the head of all operations. He and his family smuggled marijuana over border. Lord please remove him from this building in Jesus name. He makes noise day or night. Family meetings are sometimes after 10 pm just because he likes it that way. Its like the devil wants to harrass me through him and through the young man upstairs (also loves marijuana).

We hear your distress and we join with you in seeking the Lord's peace and justice in this difficult living situation. Living with constant loud noise day and night, with cursing and aggressive behavior, can wear down the heart and steal rest, and we understand why you feel harassed and exhausted.

We want to encourage you to bring this burden fully to the Lord while also walking in the wisdom He gives. God calls us to seek peace with all people as far as it depends on us. Romans 12:18 says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. And our Lord Jesus teaches us how to respond to those who mistreat us. Matthew 5:44 says Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. This does not mean we excuse sin, illegal activity, or abusive behavior, but it means we do not return evil for evil and we entrust justice to God. Romans 12:19 says Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.

We also hear your concern about marijuana use and smuggling. The use of drugs to alter the mind and illegal activity such as smuggling across borders does not honor God and does not honor the laws He has placed authorities to uphold. Romans 13:1 says Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God. We also know that our struggle is not only against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:12 says For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The enemy does seek to steal peace and rest, but God is our refuge and protector.

It is understandable to pray for relief and even for this man to be removed, yet we encourage you to pray first for God's will to be done, for conviction and repentance in his heart, and for your own peace to be guarded. A soft answer can often defuse anger. Proverbs 15:1 says A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Pride and the desire to be the head of all operations is something God warns against. Proverbs 16:18 says Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. We pray that this young man would be humbled and come to know the Lord.

In practical ways, we encourage you to continue to commit this to prayer, to document the disturbances, and to seek help through proper channels such as the building manager or landlord and, if necessary, local authorities regarding noise ordinances or illegal activity, doing so calmly and respectfully. We also encourage you to guard your rest and your heart. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Psalm 4:8 says In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up our dear neighbor who is weary from constant noise and strife. Lord, You see every loud gathering, every harsh word, and every sleepless night. We ask You to pour out Your peace upon this home, to guard this heart from bitterness and fear, and to grant quiet and restful sleep. We pray for the young man next door and the young man upstairs, and for their families. Lord, convict them of sin, bring them to repentance, and deliver them from pride, aggression, and the bondage of marijuana and lawlessness. Save them by Your grace and transform their hearts. If it is Your will, move them to a different place or change the atmosphere in the building, but above all let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified. Protect our friend from spiritual harassment, surround this dwelling with Your presence, and help us to respond with love and wisdom while trusting You as our just Judge and Defender. Give favor with building management and authorities if intervention is needed, and give us grace to be peacemakers. We thank You that You hear us when we call on Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We hear how wearing this has been, especially when the noise comes late at night and you cannot find rest in your own home. Years of tension with a neighbor can leave you feeling on edge and even harassed, and it makes sense you are longing for quiet and safety.

Living so close to someone who is loud and at times aggressive makes boundaries important. It can help to think of a boundary as a property line for what you can take responsibility for. You cannot control how he chooses to live, but you can care for your own peace and take steady, non confrontational steps.

One thing that often helps is keeping a simple written record of when the loud TV or late meetings happen, and then sharing that calmly in writing with your building manager or landlord. A brief, factual note about dates and times, rather than a face to face confrontation when emotions are high, gives them something clear to act on and keeps you safer. If your building or town offers mediation, that can be another calm channel. When he is cursing or aggressive, it is wise to step away and not engage in the moment.

We are praying for you and for peace in your building.

Father, we bring our brother before You and ask for quiet and rest in his home, for wisdom in each conversation and decision, and for protection from harm. Give him discernment and calm, and work in this whole building for peace. In Jesus name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father grant peace to this requestor and understanding by the neighbor. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your cry under this long and piercing trial has been heard, and we have brought it before the Lord with you. To be denied quiet by day and by night, to hear the loud sound and the rude speech and to feel that your dwelling is made unquiet, is a burden that wears upon both body and soul. We do not make light of it.

The word of the Lord reminds us, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. There is a peace which the world cannot give and which the world cannot take away, a peace that is found not first in silent walls but in a heart stayed upon Christ. Our Lord has said, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you. This is the peace purchased by His blood, the peace which whispers within even when sorrows surge around and duties press and nights are broken.

We join you in praying not only for quiet, but for that deeper peace to guard your heart, and for the peace of God to rule in that building. We pray also for your neighbour, for the young man above, and for the household you mention. We cannot ask God to bless the way of marijuana or of cursing or of strife, for He calls all men to repentance and to holiness, and there is no peace where rebellion reigns, for they cry Peace, peace, where there is no peace. What they need above all is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is our peace and who alone can make a new heart. So we pray that the Lord in mercy would convict, convert, and draw them to Himself, that they might forsake the old ways and walk in newness of life. That would be the truest quiet for them and for you.

We pray too for you, that the Lord would grant you patience under this trial. You have heard of the patience of Job, the patience of a man greatly tried, imperfect yet upheld by grace, and made a power for good through his endurance. Ask the Lord to give you that patient endurance, to keep you from bitterness, and to help you to love your neighbour even while you are grieved by his actions. Love thy neighbour still binds us, not to approve what is wrong, but to desire his soul's good and to do him no harm.

In practical things, seek quiet means of peace as you are able, with meekness and wisdom, speaking a gentle word when occasion allows, and appealing to those set over the building or to lawful authority when needed, all the while committing your cause to Him who judges righteously. Use what helps you may for rest, and above all stay your mind upon the Lord, who is the God of peace and who keeps His people even when troubles are near.

Let us pray together. O God of all peace, who has made peace by the blood of Thy Son, look upon Thy child who is wearied with noise and unkindness. Keep in perfect peace him whose mind is stayed on Thee. Guard his dwelling, grant him sleep and quiet, and restrain what is unruly. Have mercy upon those neighbours who walk in darkness, bring them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, that they may know Thy forgiving peace. Give wisdom, patience, and a calm spirit, and let the peace of Christ rule in this place. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our peace. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The heaviness of living with constant noise day and night is understood, and God sees the weariness and frustration this has brought upon you and your home.

In such trials the heart is easily moved to anger, to harsh words and to remembering every wrong. Scripture warns us of this danger, that we bite and devour one another by accusing and speaking ill of our neighbor, and that the reviler tears apart the very charity and peace which God desires. When we repeat every report and give it weight by much speaking, we harm our own soul even more than we describe the fault of another. For this reason take care not to let cursing or contempt settle in your heart or on your lips, even when you feel provoked. To remember no evil and to refrain from injurious speech is what most delights God and keeps us near to Him.

God is not a God of war and fighting, and His command is to be at peace with all people as far as it depends on you. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God, and this likeness to Christ comes when we choose peace even while another chooses strife. To love God is to love our neighbor as ourselves, and on this hangs the whole law. That love does not mean approving what is wrong, but it does mean not seeking harm for the other, but seeking his good before God.

Patience also is part of faith. The Scriptures were given to nerve and comfort us so that by enduring with patience we may abide in hope. Hope and patience strengthen each other, and both are formed in us as we stay in the Word and in prayer. Prayer itself is a great good and a safeguard for the soul, but it bears fruit when we also do works worthy of it. We cannot confidently ask mercy from God while withholding mercy from our neighbor, for blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Therefore turn your prayer in this way. Rather than asking that God would simply remove or punish your neighbor, ask that God would bring true peace to the whole building, quiet to your dwelling, patience and calm to your own heart, and repentance and new life to those who are living apart from Him. Pray for your own endurance, for a guard over your lips, and for wisdom to seek a peaceful resolution.

Where it is possible, seek that resolution quietly and without strife. A calm word spoken at a fitting time, or a respectful appeal to those responsible for the building, often does more than contention. If you must speak about the noise, speak only what is necessary and true, without adding reproach, and entrust the rest to God.

Let us pray together. Lord Jesus Christ, You know the unrest of sleepless nights and the strain of living beside strife. Grant rest and quiet to this home, give patience and hope through Your Word, keep the heart from anger and the tongue from reviling, and help Your servant to be a peacemaker. Have mercy on all who dwell in that building, bring each one to know You and to walk in Your ways, and let Your peace rule where there has been disturbance. Teach us to show mercy as we desire to receive mercy, and to love our neighbor as ourselves, to Your glory. Amen.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about what you are carrying. Living with loud noise day and night, with rudeness and cursing and meetings that disturb your rest, is wearying. It is understandable that you feel harassed and worn down and that you long for quiet and relief in your own home.

Scripture presents God as the God of patience and comfort. He is long suffering and patient to bring about His purposes, and we are told we have need of patience, that after we have done the will of God we might receive what He has promised. Those who went before us inherited the promises through faith and patience. Learning to wait on God is one of the hardest parts of walking with Him, because we want to set a time limit and have Him act at once. Yet the picture given is of a farmer waiting for the harvest. God is not in a hurry, and His patience is also shown toward those who do wrong. We might wish He would remove them immediately, but He is slow to anger and gives time for repentance.

That patience is tied to hope and to peace. Hope in the Lord brings joy and peace in believing, not as a fleeting feeling but as a settled confidence that God is at work. You cannot know the peace of God until you have first received the grace of God and have peace with God through the blood of Jesus Christ. He made peace by His sacrifice so that the war between us and God could be over and sins forgiven. When you have that peace with God, you can then know the peace of God that guards heart and mind and passes all understanding. The promise is that He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him. In a world full of turmoil and strife, that peace comes as you turn your thoughts to Him and trust that He will take care of what you cannot control.

God also calls His people to be peaceable and to sow peace. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and those who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness. Jesus said those who make peace are called children of God. That does not mean approving what is wrong or pretending that sin is not sin. It means refusing to be governed by inner turmoil and choosing to reflect the grace you have received. To love your neighbor as yourself is to want for him what you want for yourself, food, shelter, and above all the mercy and forgiveness God has shown you. Love suffers long and is kind, and we are to forgive as we have been forgiven.

I will pray that God grants you patience and consolation now, that He fills you with hope and with joy and peace as you trust Him, and that He keeps your mind stayed on Christ so His peace guards you day and night. I will pray that He brings true peace to your building, that He restrains what is harmful and gives you rest, and that He works in the lives of your neighbors to bring conviction, repentance and healing. The offer of peace and forgiveness through Jesus is for those far off and those near, but for those who persist in rebellion there is no lasting peace, only a troubled sea. May the Lord use your patient endurance and your prayers to point others to the only source of real peace, and may He provide the quiet and the resolution you need according to His perfect will and timing.
