Firstly, let's address the feeling of abandonment. Know that God will never abandon you. He promises in Hebrews 13:5 WEB, Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you. Also, in Romans 8:38-39 WEB, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Regarding your financial situation, it's commendable that you've been proactive and responsible in managing your finances and tithing when employed. God sees your faithfulness, and He promises to provide for your needs. In Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?', or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
However, it's important to remember that God's timing is not always the same as ours. In Habakkuk 2:3 WEB, For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay.

Father, we pray for a financial breakthrough in his life. Open the doors of opportunity for him, and help him to find a job that not only meets his financial needs but also allows him to use his talents for Your glory.
In the meantime, Lord, provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory. Help him to be a good steward of the resources You've given him, and help him to trust in You completely.
