There's only one Master and He doesn't have to manipulate. He's the great "I AM"
I have been accused of having an attitude. It's true. Once you've been abused, lied on, assaulted, jailed, forsaken, rejected and manipulated by man (particularly those of your own blood) you might be a bit attitudinal too. But, like you, I'm a work in progress. I'm not alone in the attitude department though. I guess you could say Jesus became somewhat attitudinal when those things happened to Him as well: So much so, that He turned over tables on some and gave others the silent treatment. The authorities demanded answers. They tried to manipulate (taunt) it out of Him. They even tried to beat it out of Him . . . yet "He spoke not a Word." Therefore, He has experienced my afflictions. But, I'm not Jesus. My marching orders are according Hosea 2:2 & Isaiah 58:1.
Not every one is called to be a nice little Christian. There are some situations in truth and justice where nice has to take a backseat. There are a lot of nice people on their way to hell. Sometimes I miss the "nice" mark, but I always strive to be kind and considerate. There's a difference: Nice is a face. Kind is a grace. God knew who He was calling long before He knitted me in my mother's womb. He knew that I would say stuff. He also knew, once He put His words in my mouth, I would speak of Him, unashamedly.
This is what I know about attitude, it's subjective: As long as I'm going along with the desires of others, I'm the best thing since sliced bread. But, when I refuse to compromise my morals, according to God's statutes in order to cater to the selfish demands of others, thereby accepting their definition of who or how I should be, then . . "I have an attitude."
Had Jesus been willing to denounce God as His Father to satisfy the authority's self endowed majesty, His life would have been spared. But, He wasn't willing to renounce His birthright and neither am I!
The Daughters of Babylon have refused to come down, according to Isaiah 47:1. Therefore, I give them into God's hands according to Psalm 137:8 & Revelations 18:21. Get your hands off my inheritance. In Jesus name. Amen.
(Babylon is not just a place, it's a spirit, a mindset, a way of life. God defines such a one as "The Great Whore")
