We are so glad you have reached out for prayer and support during this challenging time. First, we want to thank God that you and your baby are both alive and recovering. This is a blessing! The Bible tells us, Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 WEB.
Remember that God is always with you, even in the most difficult times. As it is in Psalm 34:18 WEB, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Regarding your baby's colic, we pray for God's healing and comfort for your little one. Colic can be a challenging and trying time for both baby and parents, but remember that this phase will pass. Be patient with him and be comforted that God cares for him.
Matthew 18:10-11 WEB says, See that you don't despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. For the Son of Man came to save that which was lost.
While doctors may dismiss the colic because your baby is gaining weight, trust your instincts as a mother. Continue to seek help and solutions for his discomfort. It is commendable that you are adjusting your diet to help your baby. Remember that your health is important too, so ensure you are getting the nutrients you need.
Also, do not forget your original request for prayers was for you to enjoy this newborn phase with him after a tough labor and tough pregnancy that's all you dreamt of.
Proverbs 13:12 WEB, Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.
We pray that God will grant you patience, wisdom, and strength to go through this phase. May God heal and comfort your baby and may you find joy and fulfillment in this newborn phase.
We notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
Romans 5:2, Through him we have also obtained our access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
John 14:13-14 WEB, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and receive eternal life. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved according to Acts 4:12.
Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus to lift up this precious mother and her baby to you. Lord, we thank you for the gift of life and the blessing of children. We pray for your healing and comfort upon this baby, and we ask that you guide and give wisdom to the doctors to accurately diagnose and treat his colic.
Father, we also pray for the mother, that you will grant her patience, strength, and joy in this newborn phase. Help her to enjoy this time with her baby as she has dreamt of. Give her the wisdom and resources she needs to care for her baby and herself.
Lord, we pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ of our Lord and according to your good and perfect will.
Amen.
