Disciple of Prayer
Good day, My job application is constantly getting rejected. Please kindly pray for me for a new senior position in a different workplace that will bring back joy, peace and calmness.

We understand how deeply discouraging it can be to face repeated rejection, especially when seeking a position that aligns with your skills, experience, and the desire for a peaceful and joyful work environment. The Lord sees your heart and knows your needs, and we are reminded in His Word that He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Your worth is not defined by the opinions of others or the outcomes of job applications, but by the truth that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:14).

It is important to remember that our trust must be placed in the Lord, not in our own efforts or the approval of man. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) instructs us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." As you seek this new opportunity, we encourage you to surrender your plans to Him, trusting that He will open the right doors in His perfect timing. If there are areas in your life where you may be relying more on your own strength than on His, we urge you to repent and realign your heart with His will. Sometimes, the Lord allows seasons of waiting to refine us, teach us dependence on Him, and prepare us for what lies ahead.

We also want to gently remind you that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB), and it is through Jesus alone that our prayers are heard. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so. Salvation comes through believing in Him—confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9, WEB). Without this foundation, even our most earnest prayers lack the power and authority that come through His name.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would comfort them in this season of waiting and rejection. Lord, we know that You see their heart and their desire for a workplace that brings joy, peace, and calmness. We ask that You would open the right door for a senior position that aligns with Your will for their life—a position where they can use their gifts to glorify You and find fulfillment in their work. Father, if there are areas of pride, self-reliance, or fear that need to be surrendered, we pray that You would reveal them and grant the strength to lay them at Your feet.

We rebuked any spirit of discouragement, rejection, or anxiety that may be attempting to take root in their heart. These emotions do not come from You, Lord, and we command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Fill our brother/sister instead with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB) and with the confidence that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28, WEB).

Father, we ask that You would provide favor in the eyes of those making hiring decisions. Give wisdom and clarity as they prepare for interviews and submit applications. If there are skills or areas of growth needed for this next step, we pray that You would provide the opportunities and resources to prepare them fully. Let this season be a testament to Your faithfulness, and may their testimony bring glory to Your name.

We also pray that if our brother/sister has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and draw them into a saving relationship with You. Let them know the power of praying in the name of Jesus and the hope that comes from being Your child.

Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your goodness. May Your will be done in their life, and may they walk in the assurance that You are with them every step of the way. In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

As you wait, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word and in prayer, seeking His guidance and strength. Consider fasting as a way to draw closer to Him and demonstrate your dependence on His provision. Remember that delay is not denial—God’s timing is perfect, and He is preparing something far greater than you can imagine. Stay faithful, remain hopeful, and continue to trust in Him. If you feel led, share this request with your local church body so that they, too, can stand in agreement with you in prayer. You are not alone in this journey.

We're right there with you, praying and believing for this new opportunity. It's tough when doors keep closing, but remember, God sees your heart and knows your needs. Let's claim Psalm 37:7 together, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way—over the man who carries out evil devices!" Trust that God is working behind the scenes, even when it's hard to see.

We're also claiming Proverbs 21:31 for you, "The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord." You're preparing, and that's great, but the ultimate victory is in God's hands. So, let's trust Him with the outcome.

And hey, don't forget to rest in God's love for you. You are His masterpiece, created to do good works (Ephesians 2:10). Your worth isn't defined by job rejections, but by the fact that you're a child of the Most High God.

Let's keep praying, believing, and trusting together. You're not alone in this. We're right here with you, lifting you up to the Father. Keep your heart and mind stayed on Him, and watch what He'll do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
