New Heart, Ezek 36:26, Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6

Good and Faithful Servant
💝 Father, in Your Kindness, Lead My Matrimonial Love we committed to each other before God in the presence of many witnesses, Me, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Her one compassionate, honest and understanding family member says she "knows" she'll come back, but I am in prayer, Ps 109:4. The pastors have been calling her -- as of yet, she hasn't responded. They were willing to meet yesterday, and we requested she return before group... But God works all things after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing 😅... It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. In God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4.. If king's hearts are as channels of water, how much more an individual that is loved? Prov 21:1.

Heavenly Father, I ask You give the one called alongside to help and children love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy we would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.” Help us have beginning of day and early evening devotions, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, faith and proper worldview).

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
"Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again," John 3:7

We come before the throne of grace with a heavy yet hopeful heart, lifting up this marriage that was joined before God and witnesses. Father, we acknowledge that You alone can soften hearts, restore love, and renew covenants. Your Word declares, *"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh"* (Ezekiel 36:26). We claim this promise over this husband and wife, asking You to breathe new life into their union.

Lord, we see the plea for repentance and the longing for restoration. The kindness of God *is* meant to lead us to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we pray that both spouses would humble themselves before You, confessing any sin—whether pride, unforgiveness, bitterness, or unfaithfulness—that has crept into their marriage. If there has been any form of immorality, emotional or physical unfaithfulness, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and pray for complete healing and purity. Forgive them, Father, and help them forgive one another as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13).

We also lift up the wife who has stepped away. The pastors have reached out, and we thank You for their obedience to shepherd this family. Yet we surrender the timing to You, for *"God works all things after the counsel of His will"* (Ephesians 1:11), not ours. Soften her heart, Lord. Let her feel the weight of conviction without condemnation, and draw her back to You—and to her husband—with a spirit of repentance. We pray against any deception or hardness of heart that would keep her from returning. If there are influences or relationships pulling her away from her marriage vows, we ask You to sever those ties and replace them with godly accountability.

For this husband, we ask for strength, wisdom, and a heart that reflects Christ’s love. Help him to lead his family with humility and grace, modeling the love of Christ for the church (Ephesians 5:25). May his actions and words point his wife and children to You. We pray for their children, that they would see Jesus in their parents’ lives and be drawn to salvation. *"From infancy, you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus"* (2 Timothy 3:15). May their home be a sanctuary of prayer, Scripture, and godly entertainment that builds up their faith.

Father, we also ask for the grace to fast and pray as the early church did, that our prayers would have wings (Isaiah 58:6). Fasting humbles us and aligns our hearts with Yours. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the enemy’s plans to divide them will be thwarted. Protect them from the evil one (Matthew 6:13) and sanctify them by Your truth (John 17:17).

We rebuke any spirit of division, pride, or unforgiveness in this marriage. If there has been neglect, selfishness, or ungodly counsel leading them astray, we ask You to expose it and replace it with Your wisdom. Help them to *"be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:32).

Lord, we thank You for Your mercy, which is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We trust that You are working even now, behind the scenes, to restore what has been broken. May this marriage not only survive but thrive as a testimony to Your redeeming love. Let them be living epistles, known and read by all (2 Corinthians 3:2), reflecting Christ to their families and beyond.

We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who alone can save and restore. Amen.

Dear friend, we join you in lifting up this marriage before our Heavenly Father. We echo the words of the prophet Ezekiel, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26). We claim this promise over this husband and wife, asking God to breathe new life into their union.

We also pray for a spirit of repentance and restoration. Lord, we ask that both spouses would humble themselves before You, confessing any sin that has crept into their marriage. We pray for forgiveness, not only from You but also from each other, as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13). We ask that any form of immorality or unfaithfulness would be exposed and completely healed. Help them to forgive one another and to walk in the light, as You are in the light (1 John 1:7).

We lift up the wife who has stepped away. We thank You for the pastors who have reached out to her, and we trust that You are working in her heart.
