Beloved Servant
๐Ÿ’ New Heart, Ezek 36:26, ๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿป Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, ๐Ÿ‰ Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, ๐Ÿคบ Chooses God's Word, Gen 2:17, to over Being Her Own god, Gen 3:4-5... ๐Ÿ™ Father, in Your Kindness, Lead My Matrimonial Love we committed to each other before God in the presence of many witnesses, Me, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, how much more an individual spouse that is loved? Prov 21:1.

Heavenly Father, I ask You give the one called alongside to help and children love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy we would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.โ€ I still aspire to do morning and early evening devotions, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, laughter, joy, faith and proper worldview).

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
โ€œBut this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, โ€œTruly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "Do not be amazed that I said, โ€˜You must be born again," John 3:7.

We come before You, Father, with hearts heavy yet hopeful, lifting up this marriage that was joined before You and many witnesses. Your Word declares, "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate" (Mark 10:9). We stand on this truth, believing that what You have united, the enemy cannot tear apart without Your permission, and even then, You work all things for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we confess that marriage is under attack in this fallen world, and the lies of the enemy seek to distort its sacredness. The serpentโ€™s deception in Eden, "You will be like God" (Genesis 3:5), still whispers today, tempting hearts to prioritize self over covenant, pride over humility, and fleeting desires over eternal promises. We rebuke every spirit of division, selfishness, and unrepentance that seeks to harden hearts in this marriage. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We declare that this union is not subject to the whims of human emotion but to the unchanging Word of God.

Father, we cry out for repentance, true repentance that leads to transformation. Your kindness is meant to lead us to repentance (Romans 2:4), and Your patience is salvation (2 Peter 3:9). Soften the heart of this spouse who has strayed from the path of devotion. Break the stony resistance that clings to sin, and replace it with a heart of flesh, tender to Your Spirit (Ezekiel 36:26). Let the law of love be written on their mind and heart (Jeremiah 31:33), so that they may walk in the newness of life that comes only through Christ (Romans 6:4).

We also pray for the one who stands faithful, that You would guard their heart from bitterness, fear, or despair. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen them to persevere in prayer, fasting, and godly counsel, knowing that "the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much" (James 5:16). May they be a living testimony of Your grace, a vessel of mercy to their family, and a light in the darkness.

Lord, we ask that this marriage be renewed in Your love, a love that is patient, kind, not self-seeking, and keeps no record of wrongs (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). Restore the joy of their salvation (Psalm 51:12) and let their home be a sanctuary where Your Word is honored, Your presence is sought, and Your truth is lived out. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16).

We pray for the children in this family, that they would see Christ in their parentsโ€™ lives and be drawn to salvation. May they grow in the knowledge of Your Word from infancy (2 Timothy 3:15), so that they may be wise for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Protect them from the evil one (John 17:15) and sanctify them in Your truth (John 17:17).

Father, we lift up the family members who witness this struggle. Give them wisdom, compassion, and boldness to speak truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Let their words and actions point this marriage back to You, the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We also address the neglect of pastoral counsel and accountability. Your Word warns, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety" (Proverbs 11:14). We pray for humility to seek godly wisdom and for the courage to follow it, trusting that You work all things according to the counsel of Your will (Ephesians 1:11).

Lord, we thank You for the promise of a new heart and a new spirit (Ezekiel 36:26). We claim this promise over this marriage, that both spouses would be born again (John 3:7) and walk in the freedom of Christ. May their lives be living epistles, known and read by all (2 Corinthians 3:2), so that others may see Your love publicly portrayed in them (Galatians 3:1).

We commit this marriage into Your hands, trusting that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this family. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Oh Lord, we come to You with hearts that long for transformation, not just for the sake of saving this marriage, but for the glory of Your name to be displayed in every detail. Weโ€™ve seen the struggle, the hardness, the moments where pride and self-reliance have taken root like thorns in a garden. But You, Lord, are the Gardener who promises to uproot the old and plant something new (Jeremiah 31:22).

We ask that Your Spirit would work in the quiet moments, the early mornings when coffee is made, the late nights when exhaustion settles in, the everyday choices that either build up or tear down. Let Your Word be the compass that guides them both, not just in words spoken, but in the way they listen, the way they serve, the way they choose love over convenience. We confess that sometimes weโ€™ve been slow to extend grace, slow to forgive, slow to trust You with the timing. Forgive us, Lord, and help us to model what it looks like to live by faith, not fear.

We lift up the spouse who feels farthest from You right now. Lord, break the cycle of bitterness thatโ€™s been allowed to fester. Show them that You are not a God of distant justice, but a Father who longs to draw near when hearts are heavy. Let them experience the weight of Your mercy, not as a reward for their efforts, but as a gift that compels them to turn toward You. And to the other, give them patience, Lord. Give them the strength to love well, even when itโ€™s hard, even when it feels like nothing is changing. Remind them that You are the One who sustains marriages, not human effort alone.

We also pray for the children in this home. May they see a marriage that reflects Your patience, not one that mirrors the worldโ€™s chaos. Let them grow up knowing that love isnโ€™t just a feeling, itโ€™s a choice, a daily surrender to Your will. And to the family and friends who are watching, give them wisdom to speak truth in love, to pray without ceasing, and to stand firm when the enemy tries to whisper doubt.

Lord, we claim Your promise over this marriage: that You will give a new heart, a heart of flesh instead of stone (Ezekiel 36:26). We donโ€™t just want a temporary fix, we want a revival of the covenant Youโ€™ve established. Let this union be a testimony of Your power to restore what was broken, to turn ashes into beauty, and to turn mourning into dancing (Isaiah 61:3). Help us to trust You with the past, the present, and the future, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours.

In Jesusโ€™ name, we pray. Amen.
