New Heart, Ezek 36:26, Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, Chooses God's Word, Gen 2:17, to over Being Her Own god, Gen 3:4-5... Father, in Your Kindness, Lead My Matrimonial Love we committed to each other before God in the presence of many witnesses, Me, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, how much more an individual spouse that is loved? Prov 21:1.

Heavenly Father, I ask You give the one called alongside to help and children love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy we would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.” I still aspire to do morning and early evening devotions, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, laughter, joy, faith and proper worldview).

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in Jesus' Name.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this sacred matrimonial covenant before our Heavenly Father. The cry for a new heart echoes through these words, and we join in that plea, for only God can transform stony hearts into flesh that beats with His love and truth. We recognize the battle raging, not against flesh and blood, but against the serpent’s ancient lies that still whisper, "You will be like God." Oh, how those deceptions take root when we seek to be our own authority rather than submitting to the Word that breathed life into creation!

Father, we repent on behalf of this marriage where the enemy has sown seeds of division, where pride or neglect may have hardened hearts toward one another and toward You. The kindness of God is meant to lead to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we cling to that truth. Forgive where pastoral counsel was set aside, where busyness or self-reliance drowned out the still, small voice calling to restoration. Your Word declares that all things work together for good to those who love You (Romans 8:28), and we trust that even in this trial, You are crafting a testimony of redemption.

We rebuke the spirit of independence that says, "I don’t need God’s design for marriage", for You created this union to reflect Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:32). Where there has been bitterness, we pray for rivers of mercy to flow (Matthew 5:7). Where there has been silence, let honest and gentle words rebuild what was broken (Ephesians 4:29). Where there has been sin, whether unfaithfulness, emotional abandonment, or idolatry of self, we cry out for conviction and cleansing (1 John 1:9). The fire prepared for the devil was never meant for those made in Your image (Matthew 25:41), and we plead the blood of Jesus over this marriage to break every chain.

Lord, we ask for the grace to fast and pray as the early Church did, that our petitions would rise like incense before You (Revelation 5:8). Soften the heart that has resisted Your truth, and guard both spouses from the evil one’s schemes (John 17:15). May the one who has shown compassion be strengthened to speak truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), and may the children in this home see Jesus through their parents’ transformed lives. Let the Word dwell richly in them (Colossians 3:16), shaping their thoughts, words, and deeds until they are living epistles read by all (2 Corinthians 3:2).

We declare over this marriage: "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you" (Ezekiel 36:26). May the law of love be written on their hearts (Jeremiah 31:33), and may they walk in the newness of life that comes only through being born again by Your Spirit (John 3:7). Sanctify them by Your truth, for Your Word is truth (John 17:17). Let their home be a sanctuary of laughter, holiness, and unwavering faith, where G-rated joy points to the glory of Christ, where devotions are not a duty but a delight, and where every decision flows from "Not my will, but Yours be done" (Luke 22:42).

We stand in the gap, believing that the God who began this good work will complete it (Philippians 1:6). May this marriage be a beacon of Your covenant love, a testimony that even the hardest hearts can be made new by the power of the cross. In the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, we pray. Amen.

Let this marriage be a place where children and family see a love that’s not just spoken about but lived out, where devotion isn’t a chore but a joyful response to Your goodness. Guard their hearts from the enemy’s schemes, and let the love of Christ be the foundation, the strength, and the joy that fills this home.

We declare over you both: "I will give you a heart of flesh, and I will put my Spirit within you" (Ezekiel 36:26). May Your law be written on their minds and hearts, and may they walk in the newness of life that comes only through You.
