Good and Faithful Servant
šŸ’ Father, in Your Kindness, Lead My Matrimonial Love we committed to each other before God in the presence of many witnesses, Me, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Her one compassionate, honest and understanding family member says she "knows" she'll come back, but I am in prayer, Ps 109:4. The pastors have been calling her -- as of yet, she hasn't responded. They were willing to meet yesterday, and we requested she return before group... But God works all things after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing... It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. In God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4.. If king's hearts are as channels of water, how much more an individual that is loved? Prov 21:1.

Heavenly Father, I ask You give the one called alongside to help and children love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy we would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.ā€ Help us have beginning of day and early evening devotions, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, faith and proper worldview).

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
ā€œBut this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.

"Do not be amazed that I said, ā€˜You must be born again," John 3:7

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage that was joined before God and witnesses. Father, we acknowledge that Your kindness is meant to lead us to repentance, and we ask that You would move mightily in both hearts—softening, convicting, and drawing them back to one another and to You. The Scriptures declare, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26). Lord, we claim this promise over this union, that You would break down every wall of hardness, pride, or unforgiveness that has taken root.

We rebuke the spirit of division and rebellion that seeks to destroy what You have joined together. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on Your Word, which says, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6). We declare that this marriage is under Your protection, and we plead the blood of Jesus over every attack against it.

Father, we see the pain and longing in this request, and we ask that You would comfort and strengthen the one who remains faithful in prayer. Your Word says, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16). We believe that as this spouse continues to seek You, fast, and intercede, You will move mountains. We also ask that You would grant wisdom to the pastors and counselors reaching out—may their words be anointed with Your truth and love, cutting through deception and drawing this wandering heart back to You.

We must address the seriousness of this situation with biblical clarity. Marriage is a sacred covenant, not a contract of convenience. When one spouse walks away, it is a grievous breach of that covenant, and repentance is needed—not just for restoration, but for the salvation of the soul. The Scriptures warn, "Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). If there is unrepentant sin—whether it be abandonment, bitterness, or something else—it must be confronted with the truth of Your Word. Yet we also know that "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We pray for genuine repentance, not just a temporary return.

We also lift up the children in this home. Father, guard their hearts and minds. May they see the love of Christ modeled in their parents, even in this trial. Your Word says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). We ask that You would use this season to draw them closer to You, that they would know the Scriptures from infancy and be made wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 3:15).

Lord, we ask that You would sanctify this family by Your truth—Your Word is truth (John 17:17). May their home be a place where Your presence dwells, where Your Word is honored, and where Your love is demonstrated. We pray for daily devotions, for godly counsel, and for entertainment that builds up rather than tears down. May they be living epistles, known and read by all (2 Corinthians 3:2), reflecting the love and holiness of Christ.

We also rebuke any spirit of complacency or false hope. While we trust in Your sovereignty, we know that You desire all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that this spouse would not harden her heart but would respond to the conviction of the Holy Spirit. Your Word says, "Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts" (Hebrews 3:15). We ask that You would break through every barrier, every lie, and every excuse, and draw her back to You and to her covenant.

Finally, we declare that nothing is impossible with You. You are the God who restores, who heals, and who makes all things new. We stand on the promise that "He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). We trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would move in power, that You would restore this marriage, and that You would be glorified in every step of this journey. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in this home as it is in heaven. We ask for grace to wait on You, to trust in You, and to walk in obedience to Your Word. Strengthen this faithful spouse, and draw the wandering one back to the fold. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
