We hear your longing for a godly husband—a man who will cherish you, commit to you in marriage, and walk with you in faith. Your desire for companionship is natural and good, for the Lord Himself said, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him"* (Genesis 2:18). Yet we must also examine the heart behind this prayer, for not all desires align with God’s perfect will.
First, we must address the way you have spoken of past relationships. You mention "guys from my past" and those who "chase" you, yet you also speak of their actions in ways that suggest they pursued you for impure reasons—perhaps even sexually. If any of these relationships involved fornication (sex outside of marriage), Scripture is clear: *"Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18). If this is the case, we must repent and turn away from those patterns, for the Lord calls us to holiness. *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality"* (1 Thessalonians 4:3).
You also speak of wanting a man who will "marry me" and provide stability, and we affirm this as a godly desire. However, we must caution against seeking a boyfriend rather than a husband. Courtship should always have marriage as its goal, not merely companionship or emotional fulfillment. *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship does righteousness have with unrighteousness? What communion does light have with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). If you are seeking a spouse, he must be a man who fears the Lord, walks in integrity, and shares your faith in Jesus Christ.
We also notice that you have not mentioned the name of Jesus in your request. This is deeply concerning, for there is no access to the Father except through Him. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'"* (John 14:6). Salvation comes only through faith in Christ, and all our prayers must be lifted in His name. Lord, You know the desires of her heart, and we ask that You would purify them according to Your will. If there has been any sin in past relationships—whether in thought, word, or deed—we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Wash her clean by the blood of Jesus, and set her free from any ungodly soul ties or emotional wounds.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of lust, manipulation, or ungodly pursuit that has come against her. We declare that no man who seeks her for impure reasons will have any place in her life. We break every ungodly soul tie and command every unclean spirit to flee in Jesus’ name. *"The Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me for His heavenly kingdom"* (2 Timothy 4:18).
Lord, we ask that You would bring a man into her life who loves You above all else—a man of integrity, patience, and godly character. Prepare her heart for marriage, and prepare his heart as well. Let their relationship be built on Christ, not on worldly desires or fleeting emotions. *"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4).
We also pray for financial provision, Lord. You know her needs, and we trust You to provide for her as she seeks first Your kingdom. Whether it is a motorbike or any other need, we ask that You meet it according to Your riches in glory.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill her with Your peace.
