We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with your landlord. The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 22:7, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." Yet even in this position of authority, the landlord is called to act with justice, mercy, and integrity. We see none of these in the new demands, contradictions, and refusal to take responsibility for life-threatening faults. This is not the way of Christ, who calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31) and to do unto others as we would have them do unto us (Matthew 7:12).
Father God, we pray first and foremost that this landlord would come to know You, if he does not already. Open his eyes to the truth of Your Word and soften his heart to submit to Your will. We ask that You would convict him of any unrighteousness in his dealings, that he may repent and seek to honor You in all his actions. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of greed, deception, and irresponsibility that seems to be at work here. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that You will fight for us (Exodus 14:14).
We pray for wisdom and discernment for those facing these unjust demands. May they be guided by Your Holy Spirit to navigate this situation with grace and truth. Give them the strength to stand firm in what is right, even when it is difficult. Remind them that You are their provider and protector, and that no one can harm them without Your permission (Luke 12:7). We ask that You would expose any deceit in the new contract and bring clarity to the confusion. Let the truth be revealed, and may justice prevail.
Lord, we also lift up the life-threatening faults in the property. It is the landlord’s responsibility to ensure the safety of those who dwell there, and we pray that he would be compelled by Your love to address these issues immediately. If he continues to neglect his duty, we ask that You would intervene in a mighty way, either by changing his heart or by bringing the appropriate authorities to his attention to enforce the necessary repairs.
We declare that this situation will not remain in turmoil. We speak peace, resolution, and restoration over this matter. May the landlord come to his senses, as the prodigal son did in Luke 15:17, and turn back to what is right. We trust that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28) and that this trial will ultimately bring glory to Your name.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
