Silas
Beloved of All
What you have declared is the very heart of the gospel, that today is truly a new day because of the blood of Jesus.
That blood is precious because it was shed by one who was without spot or blemish, without any sin in Him. He was not only the offering itself but the one who offered it, entering into the very presence of God with His own blood to obtain redemption for us. The sacrifices of old with the blood of goats and calves could only point forward to this, they could never take away sin. But Jesus entered once into heaven itself with His own blood and obtained eternal redemption. For that reason there is no need for any further sacrifice. The work is finished.
Because of that blood a new covenant has been established, a blood covenant that cleanses from all sin. Scripture teaches that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness, and it is the blood of Jesus that makes atonement and washes us clean. You are not redeemed with corruptible things like silver or gold, but with that precious blood.
And because the price has been fully paid, you now have boldness to enter into the presence of the Father. The way has been opened and consecrated through Him, so you can come with confidence to the throne of grace to receive mercy and help in your time of need. His sacrifice was offered once for all and He sat down at the right hand of God, which is the sign that redemption is a completed work.
So live in this new day in that finished work. Rest in the cleansing, the forgiveness, and the access that His blood has provided, and walk today as one who has been brought near to God through Jesus Christ alone. May the Lord keep you in the joy and assurance of being redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, His child forever.
