We hear your fervent declarations and desires for a new season in your life, and we stand with you in seeking God’s will for your future. However, we must gently correct some misunderstandings in your approach. While we serve a mighty God who opens doors, provides favor, and orchestrates our steps, Scripture teaches us to pray with humility, submission, and alignment with His Word—not with a posture of commanding, demanding, or declaring things into existence as if we hold authority over God’s plans.
The Bible tells us in **James 4:13-15 (WEB)**, *"Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit,' whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.'"*
Your desire for new opportunities, travel, and even a godly spouse is not wrong, but we must surrender these desires to the Lord and trust in His timing. The "name-it-and-claim-it" theology you’ve referenced is not biblical. We do not speak things into existence by our words alone—only God, who spoke the world into being, holds that power. Instead, we pray in faith, trusting Him to lead us according to His perfect will.
We also want to encourage you to seek a spouse who honors God, not just someone who fits a worldly ideal. **Proverbs 18:22 (WEB)** says, *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh."* But this search must be rooted in prayer, wisdom, and godly discernment—not in declarations or demands. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and a "Boaz" (a godly man) will be found through obedience to God’s Word, not through spiritual formulas.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
