We join together with you in lifting up these new brothers and sisters in Christ before the Father and we rejoice with you over every new disciple who has been born again by water and the Spirit, for Jesus said, Unless one is born of water and spirit, he can’t enter into God’s Kingdom John 3:5.

We agree with you in praying for their protection, for Jesus prayed, I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one John 17:15, and we ask the Father to deliver them from evil Matt 6:13 and to guard them from the deceiver who deceives the whole world Rev 12:9 and from those having a form of godliness but denying its power 2 Tim 3:5. We pray that they will be kept from sin and from evil people and from demonic influence, and that the Word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified just as it is with you, and that they will be delivered from unreasonable and evil men, for the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thes 3:1-3.

We also pray that God will give them wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened Eph 1:17-18, for we are reminded, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We ask that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith, to the end that they being rooted and grounded in love may be strengthened to comprehend the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know Christ’s love which surpasses knowledge Eph 3:17-19, and that they may bear fruit with perseverance, as those with the good and honest heart who having heard the word, hold it tightly and produce fruit with perseverance Luke 8:15.

We entrust their growth to God who is faithful to complete it, being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ Phil 1:6, and we pray as Paul prayed for the churches, that they would be built up on the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the teaching of baptisms and of laying on of hands Heb 6:1-2. We ask that they will learn the Word more and more, worshiping the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers John 4:23.

We pray also for their health and provision, that they may prosper and be in health, even as their souls prosper 3 John 1:2, knowing that His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us 2 Peter 1:3, and that through His precious and exceedingly great promises we may become partakers of the divine nature 2 Peter 1:4. We pray they will be imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherited the promises Heb 6:12 and that they will endure, for he who endures to the end will be saved Matt 24:13.

We lift up your wife before the Lord with you, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Tim 2:4 and is not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9, and we pray that you will continue with supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for her 1 Tim 2:1, that the Lord will draw her to Himself.

And we pray for you, that the Lord will grant you all perseverance in your labor for the gospel, for truly the signs of an apostle were worked among you in all perseverance 2 Cor 12:12, and we ask that God will strengthen you in the midst of afflictions as you have mentioned in 2 Cor 6:4. We thank God that it is not His will that one of these little ones should perish Matt 18:14 and we trust Him to keep these new believers and to use you mightily.

Father, we ask all of this together in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and through Him we have access to Your throne of grace. Give these new disciples hunger for Your Word, protection, wisdom, love, healing, and enduring faith, give this brother strength to persevere, and bring his wife to salvation, that Your name may be glorified in all things. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We are grateful for your heart for new brothers and sisters in Christ, and for your own desire to persevere faithfully in the work God has given you. It is a good and loving thing to entrust these new believers to God while continuing to lift them up as Jesus and Paul did, praying for their protection, wisdom, and deep rooting in love.

What you are asking for reflects how spiritual growth actually happens. It is gradual and often imperceptible, a lifelong process with highs and lows rather than one dramatic moment. Over the long haul, what matters is that growth is happening at all, and that is God's work in them through His Spirit as they stay connected to Him through His Word, prayer, and worship with other believers. There is no single formula, God works uniquely in each person He has made.

For you, we hear both joy for others and a weight of your own perseverance in the midst of affliction, and your longing for your wife. A simple next step that may help is to keep a short, named prayer list for these new disciples and for your wife, and bring them before the Lord regularly, entrusting their growth to Him while you remain steady in your own walk with Him in community.

We pray, Father, thank You for each new believer You have drawn to Yourself. Keep them from evil, give them growing knowledge of You and strength to persevere to the end. Sustain our brother in affliction and give him endurance for the work You have called him to. Draw his wife gently to Yourself in Your time and mercy. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join you in carrying these burdens to the throne of grace, where Christ himself ever lives to intercede for his own.

For the new brothers and sisters in Christ you name, we pray as our Lord prayed in John 17:15, that the Father would keep them from the evil one. Not that they should be taken out of the world, but preserved in it. We ask with James 1:5 that God who gives liberally would grant them wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, according to Ephesians 1:17 to 21, that the eyes of their understanding being enlightened they may know the hope of his calling and the exceeding greatness of his power toward them that believe. We pray Ephesians 3:15 to 20 for them, that being rooted and grounded in love they may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, and be filled with all the fullness of God.

We pray also that they may be established on the foundation of repentance from dead works and faith toward God, of baptisms and laying on of hands, as in Hebrews 6:1 to 3, being born of water and of the Spirit, learning the Word and walking therein. For there is no supplementary salvation if the one salvation of Jesus Christ fails to keep a man, but we rest upon the sure mercies of David, that he who has begun a good work in them will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, according to Philippians 1:6. This is the perseverance of the saints, not by their own strength but by covenant promise, for it is written, they shall not depart from me, Jeremiah 32:40. If grace has truly changed them, they are radically and lastingly changed, and they shall persevere in holiness and bring forth fruit with patience as in Luke 8:15, and he that perseveres to the end shall be saved.

For their protection we plead Matthew 6:13 and 2 Thessalonians 3:1 to 3, that they may be delivered from evil men and from the adversary who deceives the whole world, Revelation 12:9, and kept from the form of godliness without the power thereof, 2 Timothy 3:5. We ask that the Word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified, spreading quickly and being received with faith.

For their bodily needs we ask according to 3 John 1:2 and 2 Peter 1:2 and 3, that as their souls prosper they may be in health, and that God would supply all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of him, and that by his precious and magnificent promises they may be partakers of the divine nature, and by faith and patience inherit the promises, Hebrews 6:12. We do not ask for prosperity apart from holiness, but for such health and provision as shall best serve their growth in Christ and their usefulness to his kingdom.

For your wife we pray with 1 Timothy 2:1 to 5 and 2 Peter 3:9, that God who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth would grant her repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, and there is salvation in no other. We pray that your marriage, being the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman as ordained from the beginning, may be strengthened in the Lord and be a testimony of Christ and his church.

For yourself, laboring as a missionary of the gospel in affliction, we pray for all perseverance as in 2 Corinthians 12:12 and 2 Corinthians 6:10. Every child of God can speak of my affliction, and you have not been left without a portion of that black draught of sorrow. Yet this is our comfort in affliction, for thy Word has quickened us, Psalm 119:50. Though the bark of the tree of affliction be bitter as gall, the pith is sweet as honey when we see to what it leads. Your light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for you a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 2 Corinthians 4:17. Look not so much at the affliction as at the design of God who prunes with a rough knife for your good, and who will look upon your affliction and repay with good, as he did for David in 2 Samuel 16:11 and 12. Unless thy law had been our delights we should have perished in affliction, but his Word revives the soul.

Therefore we commend you all to God, that you may worship in spirit and in truth, John 4:23, and that whether in joy or in sorrow you may trust wholly in Christ. The way of salvation is plain, whoever believes on him shall not be ashamed, Romans 10:11. He that by faith lays hold on Christ has laid hold on eternal life. May he grant you to live as if your salvation depended on yourself, and yet to rest knowing it does not depend on you in any sense at all, but upon his effectual redemption and his purpose which secures your final perseverance. May you be kept, may you be quickened, may you be rooted, and may you bear fruit to his glory until he comes.
