We are glad to join you in prayer and to offer biblical guidance during this season of your life. We will start by addressing your requests and afterward address some other issues that may be impeding your prayers or creating a blockage to your relationship with God.
Firstly, we rejoice with you as you seek God's intervention in your marriage and career. We stand with you in praying for your husband to find you and for your marriage to be restored and strengthened. It is clear that God cares about marriages and families. In fact, all marriage is a picture of Christ and His bride the Church. As it says in Ephesians 5:31-32 For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. And the two will become one flesh. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly. Therefore, as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
In addition, we pray for God's favor upon you as you seek a job in your field of study, Human Resource Management. We believe that God, who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will also supply and multiply your seed and increase the fruits of your righteousness. (2 Corinthians 9:10) You are not alone in your journey.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who desires restoration in her marriage and direction in her career. Lord, we ask that You guide her husband back to her, that their union may be strengthened and their love renewed. Help them to live together in a manner that honors You, reflecting the love of Christ and His Church.
Father, we also ask that You open doors for her in her career. Provide her with a suitable job in her field of study, where she can use her skills and talents to bring glory to Your name. Guide her steps and grant her favor in the eyes of potential employers.
Lord, we also pray for her spiritual growth and understanding. Help her to trust in You completely, knowing that all things work together for good to those who are called according to Your purpose. Thank you for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. It is only by that sacrifice, and believing in Jesus Christ that saves us. Forgive us of our sins and cause us to walk in your ways. Only by the blood and name of Jesus can we come boldly before your throne and make our requests known. It is by Jesus' blood and his blood alone that we come to you.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Now we would like to address some things that you should be mindful of in your walk with Christ.
The first thing I would like to mention is that you should be actively seeking God and His righteousness. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:33 But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Many times we pray for things but we do not ask the Lord what He wants for us. We need to be in God's will and not our own will or praying our own desires.
The second thing that we would like to mention is that we noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. (John 14:6). In fact, it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. (Acts 4:10-12)
In addition to this, looking at your prayer, it does seem that you are just praying for things that you want rather than praying for the Lord's will. It is important to look at the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 and use this as a guide to praying. You should seek the Lord's will for your life and His Kingdom's advancement rather than just your desires. One way to do this is to consider if your requests align with what the Bible says.
Finally, we would like to advise you to be mindful of idolatry which can be a blockage to your relationship with God and your prayers. Idolatry is not just worshipping a statue, but it involves anything that you put before your relationship with God. This can be a job, a spouse, a boyfriend, a girlfriend, a degree, a career, or a hobby. (See Colossians 3:5) Make sure that the most important thing in your life is your relationship with Jesus Christ.
