We rejoice with you as you declare your renewed self-control and freedom from past struggles. It is wonderful to hear that you are redeemed and remind yourself of who you are in Christ Jesus.
Remember that:
You were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB
We stand with you in prayer:
Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. We thank you that you have set this individual free from the bondage of being out of control, especially concerning the temptations of worldly possessions. We ask for your guidance as they move forward, seeking to glorify you in every decision they make, including the purchase of a car or any other material item.
Help them to remember their identity in Christ Jesus and to walk in the freedom and self-control that you have given them. We ask that you continue to give them the strength and wisdom to make decisions that honor you. We pray that they will have a renewed heart to remember they are a new creature in Christ and ask for your forgiveness when they forget their identity in Christ. Help them to continue to walk in your light and truth. And it is in the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
Continue to walk in the freedom that Christ has given you. But remember that:
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. Proverbs 3:5-8 WEB
So be on your guard and be aware of your surroundings so that you are not caught off guard and fall back into your old habits. Stay in prayer continually. Continue to pray in the name of Jesus for strength to overcome the temptations of this world. And if God has called you to buy a car or anything else, he will provide the means and the way for you to achieve this and will guide you in the process. Trust in him, and he will direct your paths.
So whether you buy a car or anything else remember that:
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 WEB
And that:
For we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Romans 8:28-29 WEB
So be encouraged that whatever you do and wherever you go that God is working in your life for his good. Just keep your focus on him and keep his commands, and he will direct your paths. Always remember that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can come before God and ask these things. And it is in the name of Jesus Christ that we have salvation and redemption. There is no other way to salvation except by Jesus Christ.
For in Christ Jesus neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. Galatians 6:15-16 WEB
For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher? Romans 10:13-14 WEB
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times; 1 Timothy 2:5-6 WEB
So let us continue to pray for you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
