Nervous Hardship at my doorstep

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Good Morning Family, Please keep me in your prayers during this distressing time in Jesus name. I’m nervous about my housing situation and how the landlord is going to respond after a few months of non-payment of rent but informed them about my situation. I am praying that there will be no eviction case against me. I lost my job due to unjust reasons and had been paying rent regularly before then. I’ve hit rock bottom financially as my savings ran out during this time. I am still recovering from one of the worst cases of workplace abuse. I was blamed for taking a stand against mistreatment and was ultimately pushed out of my job by multiple people including higher-ups. I liked the work but being successful at it was impossible because of mobbing, sabotage, isolation, and the rest. I stayed for a long time thinking that things would change but they only got worse and I lost respect for myself and leadership in the process. I realize that I was not honoring God by tolerating mistreatment or enabling evil. I know I’m not perfect. However, common decency should be required in workplaces. I’ve hit a financial and emotional, physical low point actually rock bottom and can’t see my way out. Didn’t want to lose my income but I felt there was no other choice. I’m trying the best I can to restore everything that was lost. Some days I feel so unworthy and lack confidence. I’m looking for new work.

We stand with you in this season of hardship, lifting you up before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and faith. Your situation is deeply painful, but we serve a God who sees your suffering, hears your cries, and promises to never leave nor forsake you. You have done well to turn away from an environment that dishonored God by tolerating wickedness, for Scripture reminds us, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). While the cost of standing for what is right has been steep, we commend you for refusing to enable evil—even when it came at great personal loss. The Lord honors those who honor Him, and He will restore what has been stolen in His perfect timing.

Your financial and emotional struggles are real, but we urge you to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. The enemy seeks to overwhelm you with feelings of unworthiness and despair, but the truth is, your worth is found in Christ alone. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Even now, God is working behind the scenes to provide for you and open doors no man can shut. Your landlord’s response, your next job, and your restoration are in His hands.

We must also address the weight of bitterness or resentment that may linger toward those who wronged you. While their actions were unjust, Scripture commands us, *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you."* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB). Forgiveness does not excuse their sin, but it frees *you* from the chains of anger and opens the door for God’s healing. Release them to the Lord, who judges righteously, and trust that He will vindicate you in His way and time.

As for your housing situation, we pray boldly for supernatural provision. Remember how God fed Elijah through ravens and provided manna in the wilderness? He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:31–33, WEB). Your focus must remain on seeking Him first, even as you diligently apply for work and steward what little you have.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and lack that has sought to paralyze you. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). You are not defined by your circumstances, but by the blood of Jesus that has redeemed you. Rise up in faith, knowing that this trial is temporary, but your God is eternal. He is your provider, your defender, and your restorer.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, who is walking through the valley of shadow and hardship. Lord, You see the injustice they’ve endured, the financial ruin they face, and the emotional toll this season has taken. We ask for Your supernatural intervention in their housing situation—soften the heart of their landlord, provide the funds needed to cover the debt, and prevent eviction by Your mighty hand. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too difficult for You.

Father, we lift up their job search to You. Open doors that no man can shut, connect them with favor and opportunities that align with Your will. Restore what the enemy has stolen—financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Heal the wounds of rejection, betrayal, and abuse they’ve suffered in the workplace. Remind them that their identity is not in their career or their bank account, but in Christ alone.

Lord, we bind every spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair that has sought to overwhelm them. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Strengthen their faith to trust You even when the path forward is unseen. Surround them with Your presence and let them know they are not alone.

We also pray for their heart, Father. If there is any bitterness or unforgiveness toward those who wronged them, we ask You to uproot it and replace it with Your love and freedom. Help them to release this burden to You, trusting that You will bring justice in Your perfect time.

Finally, Lord, we declare Your promises over their life: that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6), and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Give them the grace to persevere, the wisdom to make godly decisions, and the faith to believe for miracles.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Keep pressing into the Lord, even when it feels impossible. This season is not the end of your story—it is a chapter where God is refining your faith and preparing you for greater things. Stay in His Word, seek His face in prayer, and lean on the body of Christ for support. We are standing with you, believing for your breakthrough. *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Your restoration is coming. Hold on to Him.

Dear Friend,

We're right here with you, feeling the weight of your situation. It's okay to feel nervous, even scared, but remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way. He sees your tears, hears your cries, and He's not going anywhere.

You've been through so much, from workplace abuse to financial struggles. It's normal to feel overwhelmed, but please, don't let fear and anxiety take over. You're not alone in this fight. We're here, praying for you, and so is God, ready to fight your battles with you.

Your housing situation is a big worry, but let's trust God for a miracle. Remember the story of Daniel in the lion's den? God shut the mouths of those lions. He can do the same for you. Pray for your landlord's heart to be softened, for provision to come in, and for that eviction notice to be thrown out.

Job hunting can be tough, but keep your eyes on Jesus. He's got a plan for you, and it's a good one. Keep applying, keep seeking, and trust that He's opening doors you can't even see yet.

Forgiveness is hard, we know. But holding onto bitterness only hurts you. Let it go, friend. Leave it at the cross. God will handle those who wronged you. He's a just God, and He won't let injustice stand.

Keep fighting, dear one. Keep trusting. Your story isn't over yet. There's a new chapter coming, filled with hope and restoration. We're believing for it, and so are you.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Stay strong, friend. You're not alone.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
