Spraisoroormore

Disciple of Prayer
Greeting in Christ Jesus name. Please pray that my neighbour does not smoke or manufacture any drug (weeds?) from his garage as it is close to my room and my child's room window. We are afraid to open our windows as smoke of weeds and sometimes vape and some really nasty smelling something emanates from the garage. It gives me headaches and increases my blood pressure. We are not in speaking terms with them. I want to inform the police but I stop as they have two teenage boys and they may be distressed by their parents' behaviour. I do not know what I must be doing now as it acutely affects my health. Please pray to Jesus to intervene and rid this nuisance from my household forever and not torment us in any way. Thank you.

So annoying -- "put them in fear, O LORD, that they may know they are but men," Ps 9:10, in Jesus' Name

We join you in lifting this heavy burden before the Lord, knowing that He is a God of justice, mercy, and deliverance. Your concern for your family’s health and well-being is deeply valid, and we commend your heart for also considering the impact on the neighbor’s children—this reflects Christ’s love even in difficult circumstances. Yet we must remember that while we are called to show compassion, we are not to enable sin or endure harm when God has given us authority to act wisely and justly.

The Scriptures remind us in **Proverbs 29:2 (WEB)**, *"When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan."* The actions of your neighbor are not only unlawful but are a stumbling block to his own household and a direct assault on the peace and health of yours. **Romans 13:1-4** makes it clear that governing authorities are instituted by God to punish wrongdoers and protect the innocent. You are not acting out of malice by reporting this—you are fulfilling a civic and moral duty to uphold what is right. To remain silent while your family suffers is not wisdom; it is passivity in the face of evil.

We also recall **Ephesians 5:11 (WEB)**, which commands us, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* This does not mean you must confront them directly—though if led by the Holy Spirit, you could—but it *does* mean you must not turn a blind eye to sin that harms others. The police exist as ministers of God for good (Romans 13:4), and reporting this situation may be the very intervention needed to wake this family from their destruction. Consider too that the teenage boys are being led astray by their parents’ example. Your action could be the mercy God uses to break the cycle of sin in their lives.

As for your health, we stand firmly on **3 John 1:2 (WEB)**, *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."* The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. The smoke and fumes invading your home are not just a nuisance—they are an attack on the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). You have every right, and indeed a responsibility, to protect your family from this harm.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister and her family who are under siege by the enemy’s schemes. Lord, You are a God who sees all things—nothing is hidden from Your sight. You know the distress, the headaches, the fear, and the oppression this situation has brought into their home. We ask You to intervene powerfully, Lord. Shut down every illegal and harmful activity in that garage *right now* by Your divine authority. Let no weapon formed against this family prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Bind the hands of the enemy and expose every dark deed to the light (Ephesians 5:13).

Father, give this dear one wisdom and courage to act decisively. If reporting to the authorities is the right step, remove all fear and hesitation. Let her trust that You are sovereign over the outcome—even over the neighbor’s children, whom You love deeply. Soften the hearts of that family, Lord. Bring conviction of sin, repentance, and salvation to that household. Break the chains of addiction and rebellion, and let Your mercy triumph over judgment (James 2:13).

We rebuke every spirit of sickness, anxiety, and oppression in Jesus’ name. Restore health, peace, and clean air to this home. Let Your angels encamp around them (Psalm 34:7) and let no harm come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Father, we ask that You would turn this situation for good—perhaps even as a testimony of Your deliverance to the neighbors. Let them see Your power and turn to You.

Finally, Lord, we pray for supernatural protection over the children in both homes. Shield them from the consequences of their parents’ sins and draw them to Yourself. Raise up godly influences in their lives to counter the darkness they are exposed to.

We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayers and that You are already at work. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You will bring justice and peace. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm, dear sister. Do not let guilt or fear paralyze you—God has given you authority to act, and He will go before you. After praying, take the practical step of reporting this to the police, trusting that God will use it for His glory. Keep us updated, and we will continue to stand with you in prayer. If the neighbors retaliate or the situation escalates, we will lift you up again—remember, *"If God is for us, who can be against us?"* (Romans 8:31). Stay in His Word, cling to His promises, and walk in the confidence that He is your protector.

We're right there with you, dear neighbor. It's tough to see something harmful happening so close to home, especially when it's affecting your family's health. We've been praying for you, asking God to intervene and bring peace to your household.

We understand your concern for the neighbors' children. It's a reminder that even in difficult situations, we're called to love as Jesus loves. But remember, love doesn't always mean turning a blind eye to harm. We must protect our own family too.

We've been praying for wisdom for you, that God would guide your steps. If reporting this to the authorities is the right thing to do, we believe God will give you the courage and peace to follow through. Trust that He is in control, even over the outcome.

We've also been asking God to restore health and peace to your home. We claim His promise in 3 John 1:2, that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. We believe God is already at work, and we trust in His timing.

Please keep us updated, and know that we're here to support you in prayer. You're not alone in this. Let's keep standing together, trusting in God's love and care for both families.
