Since my family moved to where we live now, I have been harassed by neighbors who are targeting me without reason under the influence of spiritual warfare that has been attacking me in retaliation for me leaving the new age and coming back to Christ years ago. I do not even know most of their names and have barely spoken to most of them but they have targeted me constantly and obsessively. Although they often try to isolate me from my family who lives with me by being nice to them while targeting me, their targeting me has often negatively impacted my family as well. A few years ago, I began praying for God to move many of these neighbors from the neighborhood (in addition to harassing me, there were other problems they were also generally causing in the neighborhood). God began allowing many of these neighbors to move out almost at once thus removing them from our lives even one household who has tried to stay connected to my family via my mother (and this household was extremely troublesome and did A LOT to harass and harm me in addition to causing trouble in the neighborhood). It's like God continually wouldn't allow this person to be able to get back in our lives no matter what. Well, yesterday, this person suddenly showed up at our front door claiming that someone had accidentally sent them a package to their old address (which is next to our house) even though they've been gone from that address for years and that has never happened before. This neighbor was always close to another neighbor across from us who I seemed to not have anymore issues with once this neighbor who showed up yesterday moved. However, recently I believe a misunderstanding may have turned this person across the street against me (and due to their susceptibility to being used by the warfare that has been attacking me, they're easily turned). I really think this neighbor across the street and this neighbor who showed up yesterday planned that person showing up to try to harass me. These are the kinds of things they always did when this neighbor who showed up yesterday still lived in our neighborhood. Please pray for the removal of all bad neighbors from our neighborhood and that God would do something about this situation. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in spiritual warfare, knowing that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your testimony of leaving the new age and returning to Christ is powerful, and the harassment you face is a clear sign that the forces of darkness are threatened by your faith. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you and your family in the mighty name of Jesus. The Bible tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). These neighbors are not your true enemies, they are being used as tools by the enemy, and we must pray against the spiritual forces at work, not the people themselves.
We also want to gently remind you that while it is right to pray for the removal of those who bring harm, we must guard our hearts against bitterness or a spirit of vengeance. Romans 12:19 says, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" Instead of praying for their removal out of anger, we can pray for their hearts to be softened, for God to reveal Himself to them, and for His will to be done in their lives. However, we also recognize that God is a God of justice, and it is not wrong to ask Him to remove those who persist in evil. We see in Scripture that God sometimes removes wicked people from the land for the sake of His people (e.g., Genesis 19, Exodus 23:28-30).
We also want to address the spiritual warfare you are facing. The enemy is relentless, but we serve a God who is greater. James 4:7 tells us, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:13-18), to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and to stand firm in your faith. You are not alone in this battle, we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of hosts fights for you (2 Chronicles 20:15).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see the harassment and spiritual attacks he/she has endured. Lord, we rebuke every assignment of the enemy against him/her and his/her family. We break every curse, every spirit of harassment, and every plan of the enemy to isolate or harm him/her. We declare that no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask You to surround him/her with Your hedge of protection (Job 1:10).
Father, we ask You to intervene in this neighborhood. We pray for the removal of those who persist in wickedness and for Your justice to prevail. If it is Your will, Lord, remove these neighbors who bring harm, but we also pray for their salvation. Soften their hearts, open their eyes to Your truth, and let them see the light of the gospel. If they continue in their ways, we trust You to deal with them according to Your righteousness.

Strengthen his/her faith and remind him/her that You are with him/her always (Matthew 28:20). Help him/her to stand firm in Your truth and to walk in the victory that is already his/hers in Christ Jesus. Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for our brother/sister. Show him/her how to navigate this situation in a way that honors You. Give him/her the words to speak and the actions to take that will bring glory to Your name. We ask You to restore any relationships that have been strained and to bring healing to his/her family.

You seek the removal of bad neighbors, but consider first the peace that Christ gives, a peace not dependent on who dwells next door, but on Who dwells within. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even when enemies press at the gate. What if this very harassment is permitted to drive you deeper into that perfect peace which is yours when the mind is stayed on Him? Our Lord did not promise a life free from the presence of troublesome persons, but He did promise His peace in the midst of them. If your peace ebbs and flows with the movements of these neighbors, you have only the devil’s peace, a false calm that shatters when the storm arises. True peace is a sea without bottom or shore, a peace that fills when sorrows surge and loved ones scheme.
You pray for their removal, and God in mercy has cleared many away. Yet here another knocks, as if to test whether your peace rests in Christ or in your circumstances. Do not be distracted by plotting and misunderstandings. The enemy would have you watch every shadow, analyzing every knock, while your soul grows restless. Instead, go in peace. If they rail, go in peace. If they scheme, go in peace. This is Heaven begun below, to possess the peace of God which passes all understanding. It is the fit result of what the Savior has done. Has He forgiven you? Then you have peace. Has He saved you? Then nothing shall offend you. Great peace have they that love His law.

The battle you describe is indeed spiritual, and the Enemy stirs up trouble through those who are weak in faith. But remember that our warfare is not against flesh and blood. When you pray for the removal of these neighbors, examine your own heart first. Do you seek their harm or their good? The Lord taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. This is a hard saying, yet it is the path of peace.
You have left the new age and returned to Christ, and this is cause for rejoicing. But know that the devil shall not easily let go of a soul that has escaped his snares. He will send trials, sometimes through people around you. Yet God permits such trials to strengthen you and to teach you patience. When the troublesome neighbor appeared at your door, what was tested but your own spirit? If you meet provocation with calm and prayer, you rob the enemy of his victory.
Consider the words of the Apostle: “Love worketh no ill to his neighbor.” If we are members of one another, the injury done to you is an injury to the whole body, but so too your anger and desire for their removal may harm your own soul. Do not repay evil for evil. The one who plots against a neighbor digs a pit for himself. Instead, let your light shine before them, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Pray, yes, but pray for their salvation, for their repentance, for deliverance from the evil one who uses them. Ask God to change hearts, beginning with your own. When we show mercy, we obtain mercy. If you desire peace, be a maker of peace. Do not entertain suspicions about misunderstandings or plots; rather, commit all to God who sees in secret. He will bring every work into judgment.
The sudden reappearance of that neighbor may be allowed by God as a test. In such moments, flee to prayer and let the memory of Christ’s sufferings calm your soul. Do not fear their malice; fear only lest you fall into sin through resentment. Keep your tongue from evil speaking, for the slanderer first defiles himself. If you must speak, let it be to bless.
Trust that God can guard your dwelling and your family without your needing to dictate who should stay or go. Sometimes He leaves a thorn in the flesh to keep us humble. Perhaps these neighbors are an opportunity for you to grow in grace. Bear with them, as the Lord bears with you. And if they choose to leave, let it be by God’s hand alone, not by your own anxious striving.
Finally, let love for your neighbor be genuine, even when it costs you. For love is the fulfilling of the law, and it guards the soul against envy and bitterness. When you stand in prayer, forgive, and then you will find that the peace of Christ will rule in your heart, no matter who knocks at your door.
