Galatians 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, rivalry, jealousy, outbursts of fury, acts of selfishness, dissensions, factions, 21 occasions of envy,* drinking bouts, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

This is not the way God intends for His children to live—free from the chains of strife, envy, and division. The behaviors you describe—spying, spreading false information, mockery, and the deliberate sabotage of peace—are not merely human flaws but manifestations of a spirit that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ to rebuke these works of darkness and declare that they have no place in your life or community.

The Word of God is clear about such things. In 2 Thessalonians 3:11-12, it says, "For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread." Idleness and meddling in the affairs of others are not only unproductive but open doors to sin. Gossip, as described in Proverbs 16:28, "separates close friends," and in Proverbs 26:20, "For lack of wood a fire goes out, and where there is no whisperer, quarreling ceases." The enemy thrives in environments where words are used as weapons, and we must actively resist such behavior with the truth of Scripture.

We also recognize the spiritual warfare at play here. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The enemy seeks to sow discord, fear, and confusion, but we do not fight this battle alone. We stand in the name of Jesus, who has already overcome the world (John 16:33). The spirit of divination, sorcery, and deception you describe is an abomination to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12), and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We lift up this situation to You, Lord, and ask for Your divine intervention. We rebuke the spirit of gossip, idleness, and deception that has taken root in this neighbor’s life. We declare that these works of darkness have no authority here, for You have given us power over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

Father, we ask that You break the chains of laziness and meddling in this person’s life. Stir in their heart a desire to work diligently and mind their own affairs, as Your Word commands (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Expose any lies or deceptions they have believed or spread, and let Your truth prevail. We pray for conviction where there is sin, repentance where there is wrongdoing, and restoration where there is brokenness.

Lord, we also pray for protection over this household. Surround it with Your angels and let no weapon formed against it prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Guard hearts and minds from fear, anxiety, and the desire to retaliate. Fill this home with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let Your light shine so brightly in this situation that darkness has no choice but to flee.

We declare that this neighbor’s actions will not define or destroy the reputation of those being targeted. Instead, let Your glory be revealed, and let Your justice prevail. We trust in You, Lord, for You are a God who sees and knows all things (Hebrews 4:13). We ask that You bring this situation to a swift and godly resolution, for Your name’s sake.

Father, we also pray for the salvation of this neighbor. Soften their heart to receive the truth of Your Word and the love of Jesus Christ. Let them see the emptiness of their ways and turn to You for fulfillment and purpose. As Titus 3:3-5 reminds us, "For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit."

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to act on behalf of Your children. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen and encourage this household to walk in faith, not fear, and to extend grace even in the face of adversity. May they be a light in their community, reflecting the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is your defender and protector. Continue to walk in love and truth, even when faced with hostility. Proverbs 15:1 says, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." While it may be difficult, responding with grace can disarm the enemy’s schemes. Pray for this neighbor, not out of bitterness, but with a heart that desires their repentance and restoration. God is just, and He will not be mocked (Galatians 6:7). Trust in Him to bring justice and peace in His perfect timing.

If this situation escalates to harassment or threats, do not hesitate to involve the proper authorities, for God has established governing bodies to maintain order (Romans 13:1-4). However, always remember that your ultimate trust is in the Lord, who fights your battles (Exodus 14:14). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). The enemy’s plans will not prevail, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
