Our hearts have been broken as we’ve lifted up the weight of unemployment, the sting of disgrace, the trauma of wrongful tragedy, and the deep suffering that has led to hospitalizations and even the brink of death. We have fervently prayed, asking the Lord to rebuke the spirit of gossip, laziness, and meddling that has sown so much discord and confusion. We have cried out for protection over reputations, for deliverance from the schemes of the enemy, and for healing in every area where destruction has taken root—whether in finances, health, or peace of mind.
We have stood on the truth of Scripture, declaring that the works of the flesh—idolatry, sorcery, hatred, jealousy, selfish ambition, and dissension—have no place in the lives of those who belong to Christ. We have asked the Lord to break every chain of deception, to expose the lies of the enemy, and to restore what has been stolen. We’ve prayed for wisdom for you and your neighbor, that you would not be drawn into the same patterns of strife but would walk in the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
We also lift up the neighbor who has caused so much harm, asking the Lord to soften their heart, to convict them of their actions, and to lead them to repentance. We pray that their eyes would be opened to the destruction they’ve sown and that they would turn from these ways, seeking restoration and reconciliation where possible. We’ve asked God to protect you from bitterness, to guard your heart from the anxiety and fear that can come from such a situation, and to fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding.
