The Bible is clear that such behavior is not only destructive but also contrary to the heart of God. We stand with you in rebuking these works of the flesh, for they are contrary to the Spirit of Christ.
The scriptures you referenced—Galatians 5:19-21 and Titus 3:3—are powerful reminders of the sinful nature that can take hold when we are not walking in the Spirit. Gossip, idleness, envy, and strife are listed among the works of the flesh that grieve the Holy Spirit and disrupt the peace of God’s people. The apostle Paul warns that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God unless they repent and turn to Christ. This is a sobering truth, and we must approach it with both righteous anger and compassionate intercession.
First, we rebuke the spirit of idleness and laziness that leads to meddling and gossip. The Bible says in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12, *"For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone will not work, neither let him eat.' For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread."* Idleness is not just a personal failing—it is a breeding ground for sin, and it opens the door to demonic influence. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of idleness, gossip, and strife in their life. Open their eyes to the destruction they have caused and lead them to repentance. Lord, we ask that You would bring godly employment and purpose into the life of this neighbor.
