We hear the heaviness and distress in your request and we stand with you together before the Lord seeking His will in Jesus' name. We understand how painful and exhausting it is to live near disorder, gossip, meddling, mockery, and the constant distraction that comes from an idle and intrusive spirit. The anxiety, the sickness in the environment, the hospitalizations and emergencies, the financial strain of extra bills and invoices, the missing deliveries, the disrespectful pictures and slander that destroys reputation, all of this brings deep suffering and we grieve with you over how long this has continued.

The Word of God speaks clearly about these matters. Gossip and meddling are not small things. Proverbs 16:28 says a perverse man stirs up strife and a whisperer separates close friends, and Proverbs 26:20 says for lack of wood a fire goes out, and where there is no whispering, strife ceases. Leviticus 19:16 commands you shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and Exodus 20:16 commands you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. The idleness you describe is also addressed. 1 Timothy 5:13 warns about learning to be idle, wandering about from house to house, not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not, and 2 Thessalonians 3:11 says we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who do not work at all, but are busybodies. 1 Thessalonians 4:11 urges us to aspire to lead a quiet life, to do our own business and to work with our own hands. You rightly cited Galatians 5:20-21 which lists idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, and the like, and warns that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God, and Titus 3:3 which reminds us that at one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. The sorcery, divination, false prophecy, fake meetings, and voyeurism you mention are also an abomination before God. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 says there shall not be found with you anyone who practices divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. James 3:5-6 warns that the tongue is a fire and can defile the whole body, and Ephesians 4:29 says let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.

We rebuke together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ the spirit of gossip, slander, discord, disorder, disaster, idleness, meddling, voyeurism, mockery, sorcery, divination, false prophecy, and intimidation that has been operating to create confusion, fighting over wrong lists and wrong information, financial exploitation, and the desire to provoke war and distraction. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces at work, and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. 1 Peter 5:8 reminds us to be sober and self-controlled, because your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, and 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 tells us the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds. We rebuke the demonic smile that takes pleasure in destruction and the demonic influence that uses idle time to spy, to distribute disrespectful images, to bully and to destroy reputation, and we command that confusion and disorder must leave and that peace and truth must be restored in Jesus' name.

We also agree with you that we are not God and we are not called to carry obligations that belong to God alone. You are not an agency, you are not required to defend or protect the unacceptable demands of an idle and unoccupied neighbor who seeks to transfer ruin and tragedy onto others. Psalm 91:1-2 says he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, and Romans 12:19 says vengeance belongs to the Lord, He will repay. Romans 12:17-18 says do not repay anyone evil for evil, but if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. We encourage you not to retaliate, not to return mockery for mockery, but to guard your home, to limit unnecessary engagement, to document harassment if needed, and to seek lawful help if the spying, picture taking, or harassment continues, while keeping your heart free from hatred.

We notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must speak to this with love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We have all sinned and fallen short, and we all need the forgiveness that comes only through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. We urge you to place your full trust in Him, to call upon His name daily, and to pray in His name, for in His name we have authority to rebuke darkness and to receive peace.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask You to forgive us for our sins and to cleanse us by the blood of Jesus. We rebuke every spirit of gossip, slander, idleness, busybodyness, disorder, disaster, sorcery, divination, false prophecy, voyeurism, and strife that has surrounded this home and neighborhood, and we command it to leave and not return in Jesus' name. Lord, bring order where there is disorder, truth where there is false information, peace where there is war and confusion, and healing where there is sickness and hospitalization. Comfort those who have suffered and been pushed almost to the point of despair and the grave, and lift the suffering that has lasted so long. Provide for every extra bill and financial burden, restore what has been lost or delayed in deliveries, protect reputation from slander, and let no disrespectful image or mocking word prosper. Give this neighbor conviction of sin, repentance, and a desire for honest work and a quiet life, and if it is Your will provide lawful employment and deliverance from laziness. Help us to keep our hearts pure, our tongues from evil as Psalm 34:13-14 says, to turn away from evil and do good, to seek peace and pursue it. Guard our minds and homes, let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard our hearts in Christ Jesus according to Philippians 4:6-7, and teach us to cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us. We ask for wisdom to set boundaries, to not take on what is not ours to carry, and to trust You as our defender and protector. We pray for salvation, healing, and restoration for all involved, and we thank You that You see all and will judge righteously. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue in prayer, to stay in the Word daily, to bless those who persecute you and not curse them, to keep your own house in order and your own work diligent before the Lord, and to not let the disorder of others define your peace. There is a heaviness in your words that tells of long suffering under disorder, gossip, meddling and sickness, and it is right that you should bring it before the Lord, for in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills and from the multitude of mountains, truly in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel.

The things you name are indeed works of the flesh, as you have quoted, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, rivalry, jealousy, outbursts of fury, selfishness, dissensions, factions and envy, and those who live in them shall not inherit the kingdom of God. At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another, and only grace can deliver a soul from such darkness. You are right to ask that the Lord would rebuke the spirit of gossip, of idle laziness that does nothing but spy and meddle in the house of another, that distributes information with disrespect, that creates disaster and destroys reputation with discord and mockery, that brings delay and confusion and provokes strife.

We join you in praying that God would rebuke this evil and deliver you from the power of darkness. For we are told, He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and this deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. At first sin catches men in its net with the tiniest spider's cobwebs that can scarcely be seen, and they seem as though they could break from them in a moment, but only the heavenly Father can deliver altogether and alone. We conquer sin by faith in Christ, this is the axe that will cut down the tree, and there is no other that will do it. Believe in Jesus Christ the Savior who died for you, and believe in Him as living again and willing to help you in every conflict against sin.

You speak also of sickness, hospitalizations, tragedies and the fear of the grave, and of extra bills and suffering that has worn you almost to the cemetery. There is such a thing as sickness of the soul which is in God's esteem far worse than disease of body, and blessed be His name, there is such a thing as recovery from soul sickness even to those who are so far gone that they appear to be going down into the Pit. When a believer is in trouble he derives great comfort from his reliance upon the compassion of God, the Lord scourges His children but He does not slay them. God has a reason for raising men up from their sickness, but that reason is not found in them, but in Himself, I have found a ransom. If God will surely raise His people from the dead by His own power, He can and will as surely raise them from every kind of trouble and apparent destruction, from sickness, from poverty, from slander, from depression of spirit, from despair. He sent His Word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions, for the Word of God has a sort of omnipotent power in it.

You say truly, we are not God, we are not to bear the office of defender and protector in our own strength, nor to carry the obligations of all this disorder and anxiety. Cast your burden upon the Lord. Describe your case in plain words before Him, any language will do if it is sincere, for Jesus does not need fine speech, He is delighted with field flowers plucked from any hedge where you can find them. And as you pray, keep yourself from your iniquity, keep away from that house and that company where gossip and sorcery and voyeurism are practiced, for it is often one of the most essential things that those who would walk with Christ should quit the company in which they once sported or by which they are now vexed. Let not idleness give place to the devil, but give diligence to quiet and honest labor as God enables you.

We pray now that the Lord would rebuke the spirit of gossip and sorcery and division in your neighborhood, that He would silence the false prophecy and the distribution of wrong information, that He would bring order where there is disorder, truth where there is confusion, and peace where there is war of words. We pray that He would heal the sickness in your environment, lift the burden of hospitalizations and emergencies, provide for every true need and not for the unjust exactions of men, and guard your home from meddling eyes and disrespectful hands. Above all we pray that He would heal the soul, that if any are yet dead in sin they may be raised by Him who was crucified and lives again, for in Him we died unto sin, in Him we were redeemed from death and the curse and in Him we live forever. May the Lord open the ears of men and seal their instruction, that He may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man, and turn hearts from death to life.

Look to Christ alone for this deliverance, for there is no balm in Gilead anywhere except at Calvary, and if He has given your soul peace and liberty, use your newfound liberty in delighting yourself in His dear Son.
