We hear your cry and we join with you in seeking the Lord's protection and peace in this very distressing situation with your neighbor and the surrounding disorder, gossip, and spiritual oppression you are experiencing. We understand the exhaustion and anxiety that comes from constant meddling, spying, slander, false pictures, delays, missing deliveries, financial burdens with extra bills, and even sickness and hospitalizations that you feel are connected to this strife and sorcery, and we bring all of this before the Lord together in Jesus' name.

We want to speak truth in love about several things in your request according to Scripture. The Word of God clearly condemns the works you are describing. Gossip, meddling, and being a busybody are not small matters, for it is written in Proverbs 16:28 that a perverse man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends, and in Proverbs 26:20, for lack of wood a fire goes out, where there is no gossip, strife ceases. The apostle Paul warns in 2 Thessalonians 3:11 that some walk among you in rebellion, who do not work at all, but are busybodies, and in 1 Timothy 5:13 that they learn to be idle, going about from house to house, not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not. You rightly cited Galatians 5:20-21 that idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, and things like these will keep people from inheriting the kingdom of God, and Titus 3:3 reminds us that at one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. Sorcery and divination are an abomination before God as written in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, and we do not wrestle against flesh and blood alone but against principalities and spiritual forces as taught in Ephesians 6:12.

We must also lovingly rebuke and correct a part of your request that does not align with God's heart. You asked for your neighbor's ruin, misery, and cemetery, and for tragedy to be transferred to them. We cannot and will not pray for the destruction or death of any person made in God's image. Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone, for it is written in Romans 12:19, do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath, for it is written, vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, and in Romans 12:17, repay no one evil for evil. Instead Jesus commands us in Matthew 5:44 to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. In 1 Peter 3:9 we are told not to return evil for evil or insult for insult, but instead to bless. We are not God and we are not to act as judges demanding ruin upon others, but we are to entrust justice to Him who judges righteously while praying for their repentance and salvation. The disorder, anxiety, and sorcery you describe are real spiritual battles, but our weapon is prayer and holiness, not cursing.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must address this because there is no other way to approach the Father or to be saved. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and power over every curse and demonic scheme. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me, and in Acts 4:12, there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved as promised in Romans 10:9. It is by the blood of Jesus and His name that every sorcery, curse, and gossiping spirit must flee, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world as stated in 1 John 4:4.

So we pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we ask for Your mercy, protection, and peace over our dear one who is suffering under this neighbor's harassment, gossip, and spiritual attack. Lord, we rebuke in Jesus' name the spirit of gossip, slander, idleness, meddling, jealousy, strife, division, lying, voyeurism, mockery, and every form of sorcery, divination, and curse that has been sent or spoken. We declare that no weapon that is formed against us will prosper as promised in Isaiah 54:17, and we ask You to break every chain of witchcraft and confusion and to let every false accusation and disrespectful picture and distribution of lies fall to the ground powerless. Father, we ask You to bring conviction to this neighbor and to all who participate in this idle and destructive behavior, that they would repent and turn from malice and envy and be saved, just as You saved us when we were once foolish and disobedient. Lord, we do not ask for their ruin or death, but for Your justice tempered with mercy, and for their deliverance.

Father, we ask for healing and protection from sickness and hospitalization and financial oppression, for You are the One who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases according to Psalm 103:3, and we pray for provision and for honest work to replace unemployment and laziness, that all may work with their own hands as instructed in 1 Thessalonians 4:11 and 2 Thessalonians 3:10. Grant wisdom to set healthy boundaries, to not be drawn into wars of distraction and disorder, to commit our cause to You, and to seek help from proper authorities when harassment or illegal behavior occurs, for You have established authorities for our protection in Romans 13:1. Fill this home with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:7, and let truth and quiet diligence triumph over every lie and noisy scheme. We pray for rest from this long suffering and for Your order to be restored in deliveries, finances, and daily life. We ask all this in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and defender, amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, to not retaliate with gossip or cursing in return, to avoid meddling back, and to walk in quiet faithfulness before the Lord. Keep your focus on Christ, stay in the Word daily, put on the whole armor of God, and meet with faithful believers who can support you. If the harassment involves threats, trespassing, or slander that damages your reputation, document it calmly and seek lawful help while continuing to bless and pray for those who oppose you. Trust that God sees, God knows, and God will act in His perfect time and way, and He will not let any curse without cause alight according to Proverbs 26:2.

The burden you have poured out before the Lord has been heard, and it is carried now to the throne of grace where mercy delights to answer. The Lord Himself kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at its door, and troubles do not spring out of the dust as hemlock from the furrows. He has seen the chastening sorely felt in this place, the sickness and the sorrow that has brought you near to fearing the grave, the weariness that comes from discord and disorder, and He has not given you over unto death.

There is a sickness of the soul which in God's esteem is far worse than disease of body, and there is also the affliction of the body which He is able to heal. In both, deliverance is of the Lord and must be accomplished by His own power. No easy word of man and no sympathy of man alone can bring a soul out of bondage, for deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He has invented the way and He has found the ransom, so that it is a gift of Divine love. That ransom is Christ Jesus, who bore our sins and our sicknesses, and through Him God gives commandment, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom.

The things of which you speak, the idleness that meddles in another's house, the spying and voyeurism, the distributing of disrespectful pictures to create gossip and disaster, the mockery and bullying to destroy reputation, the sorcery and divination, the hatred and rivalry and jealousy and outbursts of fury and dissensions and factions, these are plainly named in Scripture as works of the flesh. As it is written, those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions, living in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another, but God in mercy delivers His people from the fascinating power of sin and from the power of darkness. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, nor to prosper disorder, but we ask Him to rebuke it, to restrain it, and to bring the workers of it to repentance.

Therefore we pray with you and for you. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we ask the Father to rebuke every spirit of gossip, slander, idleness, voyeurism, discord, deceit and sorcery that would sow confusion through wrong information, false accusations, and meddling. We ask Him to set a hedge about your dwelling, to give you peace within your borders and deliverance from the noise of archers of ecclesiastical and carnal discord. We ask Him to heal the sickness that has brought hospitalization and the threat of the grave, to lift the ruinous burden of extra bills and unjust exactions, to restore what has been lost through delay and missing things, and to keep you from going down to the pit. We ask Him to turn the heart of the neighbor who now lives in unoccupied idleness and destructive meddling, that he may be convicted of sin, turn from sorcery and hatred, and seek the ransom that is in Christ alone. And we ask that you may be kept from rendering evil for evil, for vengeance belongs to the Lord, and that you may be content to bear slander for a season, remembering that often the higher the tower the longer will be the shadow.

You are not God, and you are not called to defend or to carry what belongs to Him alone. Your part is to look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone for sanctification and for deliverance, to commit your cause to Him who judges righteously, to walk in quiet diligence, to guard your lips from retaliation, and to seek lawful and peaceable means where protection is needed, while your heart rests in Him. If you have been delivered from the jaw of the lion and the paw of the bear, go forth to declare the works of the Lord, that others also may be torn from the power of darkness.

May the Lord chasten you only as a Father, and may that chastening bear the blessed aspect of a Father's hand, profitable for your good. We have heard your pain and your cry for protection, and we bring it before the Lord with you. What you describe is a heavy burden of gossip, meddling, slander through pictures, idle disorder, and fear of sorcery and harm, with real consequences in sickness, hospital stays, financial pressure, confusion and anxiety in the home.

Scripture warns plainly about the works you name. Idolatry, sorcery, hatred, rivalry, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfishness, dissensions and envy are works of the flesh, and those who live in them will not inherit the kingdom of God. At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by passions, living in malice and envy, hated and hating one another. Therefore we do not look on our neighbor with pride, for we know we also need mercy, and we pray both for deliverance for you and for repentance for those who do evil.

The Lord calls us to love Him and to love our neighbor as ourselves, and on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. That love does not mean we approve what is evil. It means we do not return evil for evil, and we do not spread the failings of others. When we repeat what we have heard, even while saying we do not believe it, we become gossipers and we bring disgrace upon ourselves more than upon the other. As water fills the vessel but does not lessen the fountain, so the evil speaker first shames himself. We are to shade over and conceal the failings of neighbors, not parade them, and to examine first the beam in our own eye before the speck in another.

Concerning sorcery and divination and all claims of fate or hidden power, we remember that Christ has overthrown such deception. When He was born, He put down astrology and silenced demons and cast out error. The apostles met a sorcerer who tried to turn others from the faith, and the Spirit rebuked him. So we do not fear sorcery as if it were stronger than Christ, and we do not seek it or answer it in kind. We turn to Christ alone for salvation and protection, for there is no other name by which we are saved.

We also hear your distress about idleness that turns to spying and meddling, about false information, wrong lists and numbers, confusion over sponsors and authorities, and the misuse of images to mock and destroy reputation. An idle life that does nothing useful easily becomes destructive to others. The way of salvation requires not only hearing the word with care and continual remembrance, but also fortitude and contempt for worldly vanity and diligence in what is good. We pray that God would grant honest work and purpose where there is idleness, and that He would stop every plan to create discord, delay, loss and financial injury.

We join you in prayer to rebuke what is evil and to ask for what is good.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy would rebuke every spirit of hatred, gossip, slander, voyeurism, meddling and sorcery, and every work of deceit and confusion. May He silence lying lips and mocking pictures, and scatter plans that aim to destroy reputation and provoke strife. May He protect your household from sickness and from the fear of the grave, and grant healing and strength and peace. May He guard you from unjust extra bills and financial ruin, from missing deliveries and disorder, and from anxiety that comes from being forced to answer for what is not your responsibility. You are not God and you are not called to carry or defend what belongs to others in their disorder. God is your defender.

We pray that He who was Himself called a deceiver and a sorcerer and endured insults without reviling would teach you to endure insults with patience, not repaying slander with slander, but overcoming evil with good. May He give you grace to show mercy to your neighbor even while you seek justice and protection, for blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy, and prayer is great when we also do works worthy of it.

We ask the Lord to bring repentance where there is envy and malice, to give honest labor where there is unemployment and laziness, to give truth where there is false information, and to bring order where there is confusion. May He fill your home with quietness, truthfulness and love, and may He keep you in continual remembrance of His word, in fortitude and in peace.
