We join you in lifting up this heavy burden before the Lord and we hear the deep grief in your heart for the unborn, for the abandoned, and for families and neighborhoods that are broken and confused.

We agree that every unborn child is precious to God and made in His image. Scripture is clear that life begins in the womb and that God Himself forms each child. For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb Psalm 139:13 and Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Before you came out of the womb, I sanctified you Jeremiah 1:5. To despise or to take that innocent life is a grave sin, for God has commanded You shall not murder Exodus 20:13. We rebuke the spirit of abortion and the shedding of innocent blood, and we also rebuke witchcraft and sorcery which you described as betwitching, and false prophecy and sabotage and meddling in other houses. These things are not of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words Deuteronomy 18:10, Galatians 5:20 and that no one be a busybody in other men's matters 1 Peter 4:15. Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap Galatians 6:7, and generations that walk in such sin cut themselves off from the blessing of seeing their children and grandchildren flourish.

At the same time we cling to the mercy and compassion of God for those who suffer abandonment and for those who have been lost. Your heart for the wife abandoned by her husband, the husband abandoned by his wife, the daughter and son left alone, the brother and sister betrayed by a friend, the children with no house or refuge, reflects the heart of God. A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation Psalm 68:5. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18. We take comfort in the verses you shared, When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up Psalm 27:10 and Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you Isaiah 49:15. Even when family and neighbors fail, God does not abandon and He promises I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6, Hebrews 13:5.

We also entrust every aborted, miscarried, and despised unborn child into the tender care of our heavenly Father. Jesus said, Allow the little children to come to me, and don't forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these Matthew 19:14. We trust that these little ones, who never had a chance to choose, are received into His presence and rest in peace in heaven by His mercy. For those who have participated in abortion, whether mothers, fathers, or those who pressured them, we speak the truth in love that God offers forgiveness and cleansing to all who repent and turn to Him. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. There is no sin beyond the reach of the blood of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to God and salvation, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. We ask for Your mercy on every unborn child who is hated or despised by mother or father, receive them into Your heavenly dwelling and let Your justice and mercy prevail. Forgive our land for the shedding of innocent blood and turn hearts to cherish life as You do. We lift up every child and adult who feels abandoned, alone, and without house or refuge or family or friend, be their shelter and their refuge, be their family. Provide godly homes, provide Your church to embrace them, provide shelter for the homeless and comfort for the forsaken. Heal neighborhoods in disorder and confusion, expose and rebuke every false prophecy, every act of sabotage and witchcraft, and bring truth and peace where there has been meddling and error. Restore families according to Your design of lifelong marriage between a man and a woman, and raise up godly spouses and godly parents who will love their children. For those who have sinned in these ways, grant repentance and the new life that is only through Jesus. We thank You that You never forget us and that You take us up when all others forsake us. Let Your will be done and let Your comfort be known. Amen.

Thank you for pouring out such a wide and tender intercession. We hear how deeply you feel for those who have been left without family or shelter, for children who feel unwanted, and for little ones lost before birth. Carrying so many stories at once can feel very heavy.

We want you to know your compassion matters. Grief over abandonment and loss touches people in different ways, and there is no single way it should look. It makes sense that you would feel sorrow and urgency as you pray for neighbors, for families fractured, and for those with nowhere to turn.

It may help not to carry this alone. If you have a pastor or a small circle in your church you trust, consider sharing a part of this burden with them so they can pray alongside you and help discern any practical way to support someone nearby who lacks refuge. Staying connected can also help your own heart stay steadied as you intercede for so many.

Father, we bring to you every person who feels abandoned and every child entrusted to your care. Cover them with your mercy and presence, provide refuge and kindness through your people where it is needed, and give our friend peace and strength as they continue to lift others to you. In Jesus name, amen.

It is with great heaviness of heart and yet with hope in the mercy of God that we have heard your prayer for those who suffer under abandonment, for families broken and scattered, for children left alone without house or refuge, for mothers and fathers and sons and daughters forsaken, and for the unborn who are despised and cast away.

The Lord always deals with things as they are. Man invents fictions, but God creates facts. Man looketh at the outward appearance, but God looketh at the heart. He sees the confusion and disorder of which you speak, the ancient sorrow that runs through generations, the meddling and sabotage that wounds the home, and the deep grief of those who have no shelter. Nothing is hidden from Him, and it is right that we should come before Him as we are, and plead for mercy through Jesus Christ alone. For He will never cast away a sinner that comes to Him according to truth.

You have well quoted the promise, Though my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up, Psalm 27 verse 10. And again, Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb, yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee, Isaiah 49 verse 15. When earthly refuge fails, when there is no house, no family, no friend to receive the outcast, God Himself becomes the refuge. He is a safe shelter. He will cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust, Psalm 91 verse 4. In the season of direst grief God was All in All to His people, and He looked upon the children of Israel and had respect unto them. So He has respect unto the lonely and the forsaken still.

For the wounded heart there is but one Physician, and He is at the right hand of God. By nature the heart is hard as the nether millstone, but when God smites it, it is broken to pieces in deep suffering. Many feel as you describe, that God cannot hear sinners, that prayer cannot rise, yet the Lord healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, but the soul's wound is deeper and requires the healing leaves of that blessed tree which is Christ Himself. The least thing about Christ is healing. His gentleness and His boldness, His perfect consecration to our cause and His zeal for the glory of God, all have curative power for those who look to Him.

Concerning the little ones, the unborn, the aborted and the miscarried, we affirm with all reverence that life is the gift of God and precious in His sight. We do not ask God to bless what is contrary to His holy law, but we do plead His mercy. We entrust those innocent children to His sovereign care, asking Him in His infinite compassion to receive them according to His perfect will and goodness. He is the great Teacher who teacheth us from our youth, a condescending and loving Teacher who values the soul of a child. He hears the cries of children, and He has taught us to pray that He would pour His Spirit upon our seed, for our children need the Spirit of God. What comfort it is that the same God who numbers the hairs of our head also gathers the lambs in His bosom.

Therefore we will pray. We pray for every abandoned wife and husband, for every forsaken son and daughter, for every lonely child and every neighbor who wanders without refuge, that God would be their dwelling place. We pray for those who have despised life and for those who have suffered its loss, that they may honestly confess their sin before God, see its heinousness as an offense against a kind and loving God, and find forgiveness only through the blood of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. We pray that families broken by sin may be restored in truth, that marriage as God ordained it, the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and the home ordered by His perfect law intended for our good, may be honored and kept pure. We pray that you and those for whom you intercede may resolve in the strength of God to walk uprightly, and then to come to your heavenly Father for His protection, saying, My God, I am more afraid of sin than of any calamity.

Now is the time to exercise faith upon a living God. Your God is not worth having if He cannot help you when you want help. Only to know that God is our Friend we will not ask who else is on our side, for having God we have all. Cast your lot with God and with His people. Come to Him always as a sinner, and He will deal truthfully with you.

May the Lord receive the forsaken, bind up the brokenhearted, keep the children in His own keeping, and grant rest and peace to those who trust in Christ. We join our prayers with yours, beseeching His mercy in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our shelter and our salvation.
