We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the deep pain of abandonment, betrayal, and the tragic loss of unborn children. The cry of the broken and forsaken echoes in our spirits, and we stand in the gap, interceding for those who feel utterly alone—whether they are wives abandoned by husbands, husbands abandoned by wives, children left without parents, or the innocent unborn whose lives were cut short by the sin of abortion. Father, we know that in Your Word, You declare Your heart for the fatherless, the widow, and the oppressed. You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of abandonment and the culture of death that has taken root in so many lives. The shedding of innocent blood through abortion is an abomination in Your sight, and we ask for Your mercy to cover those who have participated in this sin, whether through action or coercion. We pray for repentance, healing, and restoration for those who have been wounded by these choices. You alone are the God who heals and restores, and we trust in Your promise that even when earthly parents forsake, You will receive and never abandon Your children (Psalm 27:10).
For those who feel they have no refuge—no home, no family, no friends—we declare that You are their shelter and strong tower. You are the Father to the fatherless and the defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5). We pray that You would provide for their physical needs, surround them with godly community, and fill the void in their hearts with Your perfect love. Let them know that they are never truly alone, for You are with them always (Matthew 28:20).
We also lift up the unborn children who were lost to abortion or miscarriage. We trust in Your infinite mercy and goodness, believing that You receive these little ones into Your arms. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). We entrust these precious souls to Your care, asking that You comfort their families with the hope of eternal life in Your presence.
Father, we ask that You break the chains of generational sin and brokenness that have led to cycles of abandonment and despair. Raise up godly men and women who will stand in the gap, offering love, support, and the truth of the Gospel to those who are suffering. Let Your Church be a beacon of hope, reflecting Your heart for the lost, the broken, and the abandoned.
We pray for those who do not yet know You, that they would come to understand the depth of Your love and the salvation found only in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You draw them to Yourself, revealing Your truth and Your grace, so that they may experience the fullness of life in Christ.
Lord, we ask for Your mercy to cover every situation represented in this cry for help. Heal the wounded, restore the broken, and comfort the grieving. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
