Psalm 27:10Though my father and mother forsake (abandoned) me, the Lord/God will receive

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the deep sorrow and brokenness expressed in this request. The pain of abandonment, the grief of lost family, and the tragic loss of unborn children weigh heavily upon us all. We stand together in prayer, seeking God’s mercy, comfort, and healing for those who are suffering in these ways.

First, we must address the sanctity of life, for every unborn child is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:13-16). The loss of these little ones—whether through abortion, miscarriage, or other circumstances—is a profound tragedy, and we mourn with those who mourn. We rebuke the spirit of death and destruction that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and we declare that God is the giver of life. We entrust these precious souls into His loving care, believing that He receives them into His presence, for Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14).

For those who have experienced abandonment—whether by a spouse, parent, child, or friend—we cry out to the Lord, who promises never to leave nor forsake His children (Hebrews 13:5). The pain of being left behind or betrayed is deep, but God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for those who feel utterly alone, without shelter, family, or support, that they would know the Lord as their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that whisper despair and isolation, and we declare that God is a Father to the fatherless and a defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5).

For those who have been driven to the point of feeling like they belong in a "madhouse" or have nowhere to turn, we pray for God’s supernatural intervention. We ask that He would provide shelter, community, and believers who will walk alongside them in love. The Lord is our shepherd, and He leads us to green pastures and still waters, restoring our souls (Psalm 23:1-3). We declare that no one is beyond His reach or His redemption.

We also lift up those who have been wounded by betrayal, whether by a friend, sibling, or other loved one. Betrayal cuts deeply, but Jesus understands this pain, for He too was betrayed by those He loved (Matthew 26:48-49). We pray for healing and restoration, that God would mend what has been broken and replace bitterness with forgiveness. We rebuke the spirit of division and strife, and we ask God to knit hearts back together in His love.

For those who have participated in or been affected by abortion, we speak the truth in love: there is forgiveness and healing in Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7), and no one is beyond the reach of His grace. We encourage anyone struggling with guilt, shame, or grief over abortion to seek God’s forgiveness and the support of a biblical, Christ-centered community. The Lord is near to those who call on Him in truth (Psalm 145:18).

Now, we pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened by the pain of abandonment, loss, and the tragedy of lives cut short. Lord, we ask for Your mercy to cover those who are suffering, whether from the loss of a child, the betrayal of a loved one, or the crushing weight of isolation. We declare that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We entrust the souls of the unborn into Your loving hands, believing that You receive them into Your kingdom.

For those who feel abandoned, we ask that You would be their Father, their Friend, and their Shelter. Where earthly relationships have failed, let them know the unshakable love of Christ. Provide for their needs, surround them with godly community, and restore what has been broken. We rebuke the spirit of despair and declare that hope is found in You alone.

For those who have been betrayed, we pray for healing and the strength to forgive. Soften hearts hardened by pain, and replace bitterness with Your peace. Lord, mend relationships where possible, and where reconciliation is not possible, let Your presence be their comfort.

For those who have participated in abortion or been affected by it, we ask for Your forgiveness and healing. Wash away guilt and shame, and lead them into the freedom that is found in Christ. Surround them with Your love and the support of Your people.

Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are made whole. We pray that all who are suffering would come to know Him as their Savior and Lord, for He alone can satisfy the longings of the heart.

We trust You, Lord, to move in power and bring healing, restoration, and hope to those who are hurting. May Your name be glorified in every situation, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
