Isaiah 49:15Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne

We join you in lifting this heavy burden before the Lord together in Jesus' name, for we hear your cry for those who are suffering abandonment, for families broken and scattered, for children left alone, and for the precious unborn who are despised and destroyed.

We agree with you that every unborn child is known and formed by God and precious in His sight. Scripture is clear that life begins in the womb and that children are a gift from Him. Psalm 139:13 says For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. Jeremiah 1:5 says Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Psalm 127:3 says Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. To shed innocent blood is sin before God, for Exodus 20:13 says You shall not murder, and Proverbs 6:17 tells us that hands that shed innocent blood are an abomination to the Lord. We must speak the truth in love that abortion is the taking of innocent life, which the Lord calls murder, and that hatred of a child by its own mother or father is grievous to Him. Yet we also proclaim that there is mercy and forgiveness for all who repent and turn to Christ, for 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Only God can receive these little ones into heaven, and we trust His perfect justice and compassion, for Matthew 19:14 says Allow the little children to come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.

We also lift up every wife abandoned by her husband, every husband abandoned by his wife, every daughter and son left alone, every brother and sister betrayed by friends, and every family without house or refuge or shelter. The Lord sees this suffering and does not forsake those the world has forsaken. We cling to the promise you shared in Psalm 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up, and in Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you. He is a father of the fatherless and a defender of the widows, as Psalm 68:5 says, and He is our refuge. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We pray for godly marriages that honor Him, for marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and we pray that those who are in courtship would seek a believing spouse for marriage and flee from fornication and all sexual immorality outside of that covenant, for God calls us to purity and faithfulness. We ask Him to heal broken homes, to provide shelter for the homeless, and to set the lonely in families.

We must also rebuke in the name of Jesus Christ every work of darkness you have mentioned, including witchcraft, sabotage, false prophecy, and any spirit of abandonment or destruction that seeks to exterminate generations. The Lord forbids sorcery and enchantments, for Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns that whoever practices such things is an abomination to Yahweh, and Galatians 5:20 lists sorcery among the deeds of the flesh. False prophecy is also condemned, for Jeremiah 23:32 says Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, says Yahweh, and 1 John 4:1 tells us to test the spirits, whether they are of God. We pray that any generational pattern of death and loss would be broken by the blood of Jesus, for Galatians 3:13 says Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, and Ezekiel 18:20 reminds us that the soul who sins shall die, but each one stands before God for his own sin, and through Christ there is new life and hope for the next generation.

We thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and ask for Your mercy upon every abandoned child, every broken family, every lonely soul without refuge, and every unborn baby whose life was cut short. Lord, receive those innocent children into Your heavenly presence and comfort those who mourn them. Bring conviction and repentance where innocent blood has been shed, and pour out Your forgiveness upon all who turn to Your Son. Break the power of witchcraft, false prophecy, sabotage and every abortive and abandoning spirit in our neighborhoods and families. Let Your truth expose every lie and let Your light scatter every darkness. Provide houses for the homeless, families for the fatherless, faithful husbands and wives who will honor their marriage vows, and friends who will not betray. Fulfill Your promise that though mother and father may forsake us, You will receive us, and that You will never forget Your children. Heal the ancient wounds of families whose generations have been cut off, and let them see new life and hope in Christ. Give rest and peace in heaven to those who have died and give comfort and shelter on earth to those who still suffer. We trust You as our refuge and strength. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

We hear the heaviness in your prayer and how much sorrow you are carrying, not just for yourself but for so many others who feel abandoned, without family or shelter, and for little ones who never had a chance to be welcomed.

So much loss and loneliness can feel overwhelming, especially when it touches home and neighborhood and generations. Grief in these places is not simple, and it does not look the same for everyone. It often comes in waves, and it is understandable to feel unsettled and burdened when you are holding concern for so many vulnerable people at once.

We are grateful you brought this to prayer and entrusted these children and families to God's care. When thoughts feel tangled or the environment around you feels heavy and confusing, it can help to stay anchored in simple, steady places, time in prayer, rest when you can, and staying connected to trusted people in your local church or community who know you and can walk with you in person. If you or someone near you is without safe housing or feels overwhelmed, reaching out to a pastor or a trusted community support can be a good next step alongside prayer.

Father, we lift to You all who feel abandoned and alone, and every child You have made. Hold them in Your mercy and care, bring comfort where there is grief, and give shelter, safety and wise help where it is needed. Give our friend peace and clarity as they pray, and guide their steps day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your heavy burden and the sorrows you have spread before the Lord have been heard, and we join our hearts with yours in prayer to our merciful God.

There are many who know what it is to be forsaken, a wife forsaken by her husband, a husband by his wife, a child by its parents, a brother or sister or friend betrayed and left alone without house or refuge or any to receive them. To such the word of the Lord comes with tender force, Though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, and again, Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne, though she may forget, I will not forget you. When all earthly confidences fail and every human shelter is gone, the Lord himself is refuge, and He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds.

We pray also as you have asked for the unborn, for those little ones despised or hated by father or mother, for those taken by abortion or lost before they saw the light. We entrust these innocent and helpless children to the care of Him who is both just and yet intensely loving, who spared not His own Son. We ask His mercy in the name of Jesus Christ, that He who gathers lambs in His arms would receive them into His heavenly keeping and grant them rest in His peace. The need of our seed is great, for our children need the Spirit of God, and our comfort is that God has promised, I will pour My Spirit upon thy seed. Let us therefore pray earnestly that He will pour His Spirit upon the generations to come, that the line may be preserved in truth and holiness.

Remember that our Lord Jesus knew this grief to its uttermost. Upon the cross He cried, My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me, bearing the wrath that was due to sin that we might never be forsaken. He trod the winepress alone, forsaken of God in His feelings, that those who trust in Him alone for salvation might be received and never cast out. His faith failed not, for He still said, My God, and by that double grip He holds us fast. Because He was forsaken, no child of God shall ever truly be forsaken now.

We therefore pray the Lord to send His Word and heal sin sick souls, to be a Father to the fatherless and a shelter to those who have no house or family or friend to refuge them. May He provide bread and covering and Christian kindness for those who wander alone, and may He raise up a pure and heavenly people who will be as a temple for the Lord, witnessing clearly for Truth and for Christ, loving holiness and separation from all uncleanness. May He bring back those who have wandered far from Him, and grant repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other, and may He establish the family according to His own ordaining, marriage as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and keep all life within its holy bounds.

We commend you and all those abandoned and sorrowful ones, and all the little ones, to the pardoning and healing hand of God, through Jesus Christ our only Substitute and Saviour, who bore our punishment that we might have peace. May the Lord hear and have mercy, and may men praise Him for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received and we join you before the Lord in it. You have laid before God a great weight of sorrow, abandonment of wife and husband, of daughter and son, of brother and sister and friend, children left alone, families broken, and those without house or shelter or refuge, and the deep grief over unborn children who are despised or rejected or lost through abortion and miscarriage.

We take comfort with you in the word you quoted, that though father and mother forsake us, the Lord will receive us, Psalm 27 verse 10, and that a mother may forget but the Lord will not forget, Isaiah 49 verse 15. God does not turn away from those who are abandoned. When men forget, He remembers. When there is no roof but heaven and no bed but the ground, He is still present, as Christ Himself had no place to lay His head yet made a feast in the wilderness.

There is no life in this world that is free from sorrow. As you have seen in your neighborhood and in your own family, trouble comes to all, and many carry grief that others cannot see. Yet grief itself, when brought to God, can become the mother of joy. Tears sown in prayer are seeds of joy to come. A little labor and affliction here, borne with faith, prepares us for rest that does not end. So we do not grieve without hope, and we do not let grief drive us to despair, but we bring it to the Lord who can turn mourning into healing.

We pray with you now for all who suffer abandonment and for those who have no family or shelter to support them, that God would provide refuge, practical help, and faithful people to stand beside them. We pray for those who feel alone as beggars for shelter, that the Lord would open doors of mercy and give them a place of safety and peace.

We also entrust to God's mercy the innocent unborn who have died, whether through miscarriage or through the sin of abortion. We do not celebrate what God calls the taking of life, but we ask for His mercy. We ask Him in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone there is salvation, to receive these little ones into His care and to grant them rest and peace in His presence. We pray for mothers and fathers who have rejected or hated their children, and for all parents who carry guilt and pain, that God would bring conviction where it is needed, and forgiveness and healing through the blood of Christ for all who turn to Him in repentance and faith.

We pray for families where generation after generation has known loss and brokenness, that God would break that pattern by His grace, bring new life, and let His compassion restore what has been torn down. May He teach us to grieve for sin, our own and that of others, so that we do not pass by our own need for repentance, and may He keep us from a worthless joy that fades quickly and instead give us the lasting joy that comes from being reconciled to Him.

May the Lord receive all who are forsaken, shelter all who are homeless, comfort all who mourn, and have mercy on us all according to His great compassion in Jesus Christ. Amen.
