We join you in lifting up this heavy burden before the Lord and we hear the deep sorrow in your prayer for the unborn, for the abandoned, and for families torn apart.

We agree with you that every unborn child is precious to God and known by Him from the womb. Scripture is clear that life begins before birth, for you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb Psalm 139:13, and Before I formed you in the belly I knew you Jeremiah 1:5. To take that innocent life through abortion is to shed innocent blood which the Lord hates Proverbs 6:17, for God commands You shall not murder Exodus 20:13. We rebuke the abortive spirit and the ancient pattern of extermination that seeks to destroy generations and we pray against every work of darkness, witchcraft, sabotage, false prophecy and exploitation such as the distribution of photos that degrades those made in God's image. Such things are an abomination to the Lord and we must turn from them and walk in truth, for Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves Matthew 7:15.

We also lift up all who are suffering abandonment, those who have been forsaken as a wife, as a husband, as a daughter, as a son, as a brother, as a sister, as a friend, and children left alone without shelter or refuge. The pain of being forsaken is real, but God has promised He will not forsake His own. When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up Psalm 27:10. Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you Isaiah 49:15. He is a Father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation Psalm 68:5, and Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1.

We thank you that you have prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved and whoever comes to Him in repentance, including those who have participated in abortion or abandonment, can find mercy and forgiveness through His blood, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and we ask for Your mercy to cover this neighborhood and every family represented in this prayer. Lord, we entrust to Your care every unborn baby who has been despised, hated, aborted or miscarried. You see each one, You formed each one, and we ask that You receive them into Your presence and comfort those who mourn them. Bring conviction and repentance where innocent blood has been shed, and let Your mercy and healing flow where there has been death. Forgive us as a people for treating life lightly and teach us to cherish children as a heritage from You.

Father, we lift up every person who has been abandoned and left without house, family or refuge. For the wife abandoned by her husband, for the husband abandoned by his wife, for sons and daughters left alone, for brothers and sisters betrayed, for friends forsaken, we ask You to be their shelter and their family. Gather the lonely into Your household and raise up Your church to provide practical help, shelter, and godly counsel. Heal the disorder and the bewitched environment in that neighborhood, and let Your peace rest where there has been confusion and betrayal. Expose and silence every false prophecy and every work of darkness, and let Your truth and light prevail.

Lord, we ask for restoration of godly marriages and families according to Your design, where a man and a woman are joined for life and children are raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Draw those who are alone into fellowship with You first, and then into healthy Christian community and into courtship that leads to marriage with another believer if it is Your will. Keep us from fornication and from all sexual sin outside of marriage, and lead us in holiness.

Strengthen the one who prayed this prayer as a beggar before You, for You have said Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6. Let this intercessor know that You hear and that You will not fail nor forsake those who trust in You Deuteronomy 31:6. Provide refuge, provision, and hope to all who have nowhere to turn.

We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We hear how heavy this burden feels for you, carrying prayers for so many who know abandonment and loss, for families without shelter or refuge, and for unborn children. It is a lot to hold, and we are grateful you brought it to us so we can carry it with you.

Grief after such losses runs deep and looks different for each person. When a child is lost, when a spouse or parent or sibling walks away, or when a whole community feels unsettled and unsafe, the sorrow and sense of being alone can linger a long time. That ache is a natural human response to real loss, not something to rush past.

You are doing a tender thing in entrusting those little lives and those abandoned families to God's care and asking for His mercy. He sees each one, and He sees you as you intercede for them.

If you find these prayers and images weighing on you day after day, please don't carry them alone. It can help to share them regularly with a trusted pastor or counselor in your local church, someone who knows you and can walk with you and pray with you face to face.

Father, we lift to You all who feel abandoned and without refuge, and every child lost before birth. Hold them in Your mercy and care. Bring comfort, shelter, and trustworthy help to those who are alone, and give peace and steadiness to our friend as they pray for others. Guide them to supportive community nearby. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your burdened prayer and we join you in carrying it before the Lord who is tender in mercy and plenteous in compassion. The tender mercy of our God is proved in this, that He thinks upon sinful and sorrowful man at all, and bears with our distresses and our sins, and plies us still with invitation to come to Christ that we might find refuge.

You have prayed for those suffering abandonment, for the forsaken wife and husband, for the daughter and son left alone, for children without shelter, for families scattered and without house or refuge, for neighborhoods in disorder. And you have prayed for the unborn who are despised and rejected, for those lost by abortion and miscarriage, asking that the Lord in mercy would receive them. This is a holy and right supplication. We do not ask God to bless the shedding of innocent blood, for He delights in mercy and not in sin, but we do entrust these little ones to His care, believing that His mercy is boundless and His heaven is wide and large, and that He will do what is just and gracious. We pray that He would have mercy upon all who have part in such deeds, and turn their faces in the opposite direction, making them new creations in Christ Jesus, for mercy always flows to men through the golden channel of Jesus Christ His Son, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

The Scripture you have set before us is precious. Though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, Psalm 27 verse 10. Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne, though she may forget, I will not forget you, Isaiah 49 verse 15. Here is comfort for the fearful and the desponding. Hagar sat by the well in the wilderness, alone and forgotten of men, and there the God who sees looked upon her. So the Lord sees those who sit alone without family or friend or shelter, and He hears their cry. He is faithful, and will not suffer His people to be tried above what they are able, but will provide a way of escape, and His mercy goes before us, having laid up in covenant all that our necessity requires before we ever knew our need.

Let us pray together.

O Lord God of tender mercy, look upon all who are abandoned and desolate, upon children without parents and parents without children, upon those betrayed by friend and family, upon those who have no house and no refuge. Be Thou their dwelling place. As one whom his mother comforts, so do Thou comfort them, and gather them into the assembly of Thy people where comfort is found.

We entrust to Thy sovereign care the unborn, the innocent who have perished, asking that in Thy infinite compassion Thou wouldst receive them into Thy presence, for Thou art the God who sees and forgets not. Grant repentance and forgiveness through the blood of Christ to all who are guilty, for Thou forgivest without upbraiding when sinners trust in Jesus, and Thou hast promised that whosoever cometh unto Him shall in no wise be cast out.

Turn us all to hope in Thy mercy through Christ alone, that we may fear Thee and find in Jesus wounds a refuge from the storm. Strengthen the hearts of those who wait patiently for Thee, and let Thy mercy that restrains and sustains be their comfort in trial, until Thou bringest them to rest in peace in Thy presence. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour and Advocate, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for those who suffer abandonment and for the unborn has been heard, and I join my grief to yours before the Lord.

You have named a deep and bitter sorrow, children and parents forsaken, husbands and wives abandoned, brothers and sisters betrayed, friends left alone without house or refuge or shelter, and little ones despised even before birth. There is no one in this mortal life who is exempt from sorrow. If not today then tomorrow trouble comes, and each person feels his own grief to be the heaviest. One grieves for a wife, another for a child, another for a friend or neighbor, another for loss. Do not think you alone carry this weight, and do not let grief make you drunk so that you cannot hear what God has spoken.

The Scriptures you have quoted are true medicine for this wound. Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne. Even if that compassion fails, the Lord does not fail. He is the refuge from the affliction which encompasses us, and we can say with the Psalm, Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you, and I will fear no evil for you are with me.

So I pray with you in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone is salvation and mercy.

I ask the Lord to look with compassion on every person who has been abandoned and left alone, on every child without parents, every parent without children, every spouse forsaken, every person without home or family or friend to receive them, and to be their shelter and their father. I ask Him to give comfort to those disordered and bewitched by this troubled neighborhood, and to provide for those who have no refuge a place of safety and care, whether through His people or by His own hand.

For the unborn who have died, whether through miscarriage or through the violence of abortion, I entrust them to the mercy of God who forms life in the womb and who alone is Lord of life and death. We do not claim to know beyond what He has revealed, but we ask Him in His perfect justice and abundant mercy to receive these innocent ones into His care and to grant them rest with Him in heaven. And I pray for mothers and fathers who have despised or rejected their children, and for all who carry the guilt and trauma of such acts, that God would bring conviction, repentance, forgiveness through the blood of Christ, and healing.

Take the Scriptures as a chest of medicines and keep them continually in your mind. Do not merely dip into them, but dwell in them. When grief presses, open the Psalms and the Gospels and the Apostles, and let them speak to your soul until you find rest again in God who has promised never to leave nor forsake His own.

May the Lord grant you sobriety of mind in this season of temptation, not to make haste in despair, but to stretch forth your hand to Him who burns with the love of a father for his children and who will not forget you.
