Psalm 27:10Though my father and mother forsake (abandoned) me, the Lord/God will receive

Isaiah 49:15Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne

We join you in lifting up this heavy burden before the Lord and we hear the deep sorrow and righteous grief in your heart for the unborn, for the abandoned, and for families torn apart by suffering, betrayal and loss.

We affirm what you have rightly discerned from Scripture that every unborn child is known and precious to God. For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb Psalm 139:13. Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you Jeremiah 1:5. Children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward Psalm 127:3. And Jesus said Allow the little children to come to me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these Matthew 19:14. The shedding of innocent blood is an abomination before God Proverbs 6:16-17 and You shall not murder Exodus 20:13. Abortion is the taking of innocent human life and we must call it what it is while also holding out the mercy of God for all who repent.

We also hear your cry for those who suffer abandonment, for the wife abandoned by her husband, the husband abandoned by his wife, the daughter and son left alone, the brother and sister betrayed by friends, the children with no house, no family, no refuge. We take comfort together in the promises you quoted, When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up Psalm 27:10 and Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you Isaiah 49:15. God has not forgotten the lonely and the forsaken. A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation Psalm 68:5. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1.

We must also gently correct and encourage you in one area. We understand the anguish that makes you pray that a neighbor's generation would die or be exterminated for their sins, for sabotage, for distributing photos to disgrace a family, or for false prophecy. But vengeance belongs to the Lord, not to us. Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. And the Lord says I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live Ezekiel 33:11. We are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us Matthew 5:44, to speak truth and expose darkness, but to leave judgment to God and to pray for repentance rather than extermination. We also must guard against false prophecy and gossip and slander, for a false witness will not be unpunished Proverbs 19:5 and Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up Ephesians 4:29. If photos have been used to disgrace or sabotage, we pray God will bring truth to light and bring conviction and justice in His perfect way.

We are thankful you invoked the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If anyone has participated in abortion or abandonment or betrayal, there is forgiveness for all who truly repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. We lift up every unborn child who is despised, rejected, aborted or miscarried and we entrust these innocent lives into Your merciful hands. You see them, You know them, and we ask that You receive them into Your presence and comfort all who mourn them. Lord have mercy.

We lift up every person who is suffering abandonment and loneliness, every wife and husband, every daughter and son, every brother and sister and friend who has been betrayed, every child without shelter, every person begging for refuge. Be their shelter, be their family, be their home when they have no house to go to. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory and surround them with Your people who will show Your love.

We pray for neighborhoods in disorder and under spiritual oppression, for families touched by an abortive spirit and by generations of sin. Bring repentance, bring healing, bring restoration. Forgive us where we have shed innocent blood and turn our hearts to cherish life. Convict those who practice deceit, sabotage, disgrace and false prophecy, and bring them to repentance that they may be saved. Help us not to repay evil with evil but to overcome evil with good Romans 12:21.

We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

We hear the weight in what you shared and the tenderness you have for those who feel forgotten, children without a home, families broken by abandonment, and unborn little ones entrusted to God's mercy. It is a heavy burden to carry, especially when you see it all around you in your neighborhood and feel you have so little shelter to offer yourself.

Your compassion reflects God's own care for the vulnerable. Grief like this, over so many losses at once, is not something to rush through. It is something to bring slowly and honestly before the Lord, who sees each person you named, the lonely child, the forsaken parent, the mother and father in crisis, the baby known only to Him, and who remains present when earthly refuge fails.

When the sorrow feels especially heavy, it can help to not carry it alone. If you have a trusted pastor, counselor, or mature believer nearby, consider sharing a part of this burden with them in person so they can pray with you and walk with you in the days ahead.

Father, we lift to You all who feel abandoned and without refuge, and every child lost before birth. Surround them with Your mercy and care, bring comfort to those who grieve, and provide shelter and faithful community for those who are alone. Guide our friend who is praying, give him peace as he entrusts these lives to You, and lead him day by day in Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer, though poured out in brokenness and sorrow, has been heard and we take it up with you before the throne of grace. You have spoken of abandonment and of little ones despised, of families scattered and of those who have no house and no refuge, of unborn children lost through death and through the hands of men. Such wounds are deep, and the Lord knows them.

The Scripture you have set before us is true and tender, Though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, and again, Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne. Even where earthly love fails, the God who sees, who saw Hagar in the wilderness when she was cast out and alone, still sees and still draws near. He is the same who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, who cheers the wounded and gives songs in the night though not a star is to be seen.

We would remind you that the fitness for mercy is need itself. The fitness for washing is to be filthy, the fitness for being healed is to be sick, and the fitness for being pardoned is to be a sinner. There is not one heaven for little sinners and another for great sinners, but one heaven for all who repent and trust in Jesus Christ, for God delighteth in mercy and hath no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Those who fear God are those who hope in His mercy, and that hope, though it seem small, is a sure sign of His grace at work.

Therefore we pray with you and for you.

O Lord God of tender mercy, look upon all who suffer abandonment, upon wives and husbands forsaken, upon daughters and sons left alone, upon brothers and sisters betrayed, upon every child without shelter and every wanderer without refuge. Thou art the God who preserveth the simple and the God whose mercy goeth before Thy people. Prepare a place for the homeless, provide a home for the lonely, and be Thyself their dwelling as the conies make their dwellings in the rocks.

We entrust to Thy care the innocent unborn, those miscarried and those slain, despised or rejected by father or mother. Thou alone art righteous Judge and Thou alone art rich in mercy. Receive them according to Thy gracious will, and let Thy compassion cover what our hearts cannot comprehend. Grant repentance and healing to mothers and fathers burdened by guilt and grief, and let the blood of Christ, which speaketh better things, be their hope and cleansing.

We ask also for those neighborhoods in disorder and for families divided by sin and falsehood. Turn faces in the opposite direction by Thy Spirit, make the wilderness glad again, gather the outcast and the lame, and restore unity and peace where there has been betrayal. Teach us to pray short, earnest prayers like arrows shot from the bow, and to look into Thy Word for comfort until the day break and the shadows flee away.

May all who have no earthly refuge find refuge in the wounds of Jesus, and may those who hope in Thy mercy know that Thou watchest over them to deliver their soul. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because gracious is the Lord and righteous, and His mercy endureth forever, through Jesus Christ our only Saviour. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for those who suffer abandonment and for the unborn has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord with reverence and compassion.

You have named a deep and painful sorrow that many carry in different ways. There is no one in this mortal life who is exempt from sorrow. If not today then tomorrow, grief comes to every household, whether through loss of family, betrayal by friends, disorder in the neighborhood, or the ache of being without a house, a refuge, or a shelter. Each person feels his own grief as the heaviest, and God sees every one of those tears. He does not despise the cry of the beggar, the lonely child, the forsaken wife or husband, the mother or father who feels forgotten.

You quoted well the promises that answer this pain. Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, Psalm 27 verse 10. And can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne, Isaiah 49 verse 15. Even when human love fails, the compassion of God does not fail. He receives those who have no refuge and He does not forget those who are despised or rejected.

We join you especially in entrusting to God all innocent children who have died through abortion or miscarriage, and those unborn who were hated or rejected by their parents. We ask for His mercy upon them and upon all who mourn them. We pray that He, who alone is the giver of life, would receive these little ones into His care and into heaven according to His mercy. We also pray for mercy for those who have taken part in such actions, that they may come to godly sorrow which leads to repentance and life, for sorrow over sin alone brings true advantage to the soul, while worldly sorrow only adds to affliction.

We pray too for every family and neighborhood you mentioned where there is abandonment, betrayal, false witness, and the scattering of generations. We ask the Lord to bring truth where there has been false prophecy and disgrace, to bring peace where there is disorder, and to provide shelter, faithful friends, and a true home for those who have none. May He restore what has been broken and guard the innocent from harm.

In this season of temptation and grief, do not make haste to despair. Take the Scriptures as a chest of medicines for the soul. Dive into the Gospels and the Apostles daily and keep them in your mind, for there you will find comfort for loss and for bereavement that no other teacher can give. Fortify yourself by His instructions, cleanse your heart from worldly things, and strike your roots deep in Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, have mercy. You see every abandoned child, every lonely son and daughter, every wife and husband left alone, every person without house or friend. Receive those whom others have forsaken. Provide refuge and shelter for the homeless and comfort for the grieving. Receive into Your eternal care the unborn who were not welcomed in this life. Grant repentance and healing to families and neighborhoods torn by sin and strife, and let Your peace rest upon them. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior. Amen.

Rest in His peace, and continue to cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.

Your prayers reflect a deep burden for those who are suffering abandonment and for the most vulnerable among us, and God hears that cry. Scripture gives a precious promise for exactly this kind of pain, that though father and mother may forsake us, the Lord will receive us, and that even if a mother could forget the child at her breast, the Lord will not forget His own. His compassion does not fail when human love fails.

The Bible shows us how God provided a place of safety in ancient Israel. Because family honor then required avenging the death of a relative, even an accidental death could lead to further bloodshed. To restrain that vengeance and to ensure justice, God appointed cities of refuge. They were centrally placed and clearly marked, so that a person who had caused a death without intent could flee there quickly. If that person reached the city, the Levites who lived there would shelter and protect him and ensure a fair hearing. As long as he remained inside the city he was safe. This was provision for the innocent, not for the guilty. If a killing was done deliberately, with premeditation and malice, there was no shelter even in the city of refuge. The elders were to hand that person over for judgment. That distinction shows how seriously God regards the shedding of innocent blood, and how His mercy works together with His justice.

That picture points to a greater truth. God Himself is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Because He is our refuge we need not fear even when everything around us is shaken. He is called a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble, and the God of Jacob is our refuge, which reminds us that He draws near to ordinary, imperfect people at our level and offers Himself as our shelter.

For those you mentioned who are alone, children without a home, a wife abandoned by her husband, a husband abandoned by his wife, parents grieving a son or daughter, brothers and sisters betrayed by friends, and families with no house or place to turn, the Lord offers Himself as that shelter when no human family or friend can provide one. He sees the disorder and the grief that comes when people turn from His path, and like Jesus who had compassion on grieving parents, He draws near to comfort those who mourn.

For unborn children who are despised, rejected, or whose lives are taken, we can entrust them to the mercy and care of God. He values every life He has created and He alone can receive them into His presence. For those who have participated in or been wounded by the taking of life, there is no refuge in denying the seriousness of that act, but there is refuge for the repentant sinner who flees to Jesus Christ. Salvation is through Him alone, and in Him there is forgiveness, cleansing, and new life for all who turn to Him in faith.

May the Lord be your refuge and the refuge of all those you have lifted up. May He provide shelter for the homeless, comfort for the abandoned, and healing for those who grieve. May He guard the unborn and have mercy upon our land, and may He draw each heart that is far from Him to find safety by remaining in Christ, where there is true and lasting protection.
