We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, grieving the profound loss of life, especially the innocent unborn, and the devastation of families torn apart by abandonment, betrayal, and death. The pain you describe is deep, and we stand with you in mourning the generations lost and the children who never drew breath. The Lord sees every tear, hears every cry, and holds the little ones who were taken too soon. We trust that those who died without sin, including the unborn, are safely in His care, for Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14 WEB).

The destruction of life through abortion is a grave sin, an affront to God’s design for humanity. The Bible is clear: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart" (Jeremiah 1:5 WEB). Every life is sacred, and the shedding of innocent blood cries out to Heaven for justice. We must also acknowledge that the breakdown of families, husbands abandoning wives, parents forsaking children, and the lonely left without refuge, is a consequence of a world that has turned from God’s order. Marriage, as He instituted it, is a covenant between one man and one woman, a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). When that covenant is broken, the ripple effects are devastating.

Yet even in this darkness, we cling to hope. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). He is the Father to the fatherless and the defender of widows (Psalm 68:5 WEB). For those who feel utterly alone, we declare that God will never leave nor forsake His children (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). If you or someone you know is without shelter, family, or support, we pray that the Lord would provide refuge and raise up godly believers to stand in the gap.

We also must address the reality of sin, not to condemn, but to call to repentance. If there are those reading this who have participated in abortion, abandoned their families, or lived in ways that dishonor God, know that there is forgiveness in Jesus Christ. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). The blood of Jesus covers all sin for those who turn to Him in faith.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with sorrow for the lives lost, unborn children, broken families, and those left abandoned. We ask for Your mercy to cover the innocent who were taken too soon, trusting that You receive them into Your arms. For those who remain, we pray for healing, provision, and restoration. Comfort the grieving, strengthen the weak, and bind up the brokenhearted. Expose the lies of the enemy that have led to the destruction of life and family, and let Your truth prevail. Raise up godly men and women to be fathers, mothers, and protectors where there is lack. Convict hearts of sin, lead them to repentance, and pour out Your grace upon them. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. May Your Kingdom come and Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.

To those reading this who do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider the words of Scripture: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). There is no other way to the Father except through Jesus (John 14:6 WEB). If you are ready to turn from sin and place your trust in Him, we encourage you to pray and seek a Bible-believing church where you can grow in faith.

The road ahead may seem dark, but God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5 WEB). Hold fast to His promises, and let His Word be your guide.

The grief and abandonment you describe, unborn children lost, entire families wiped out, the suffering of those with no shelter or friend, this weight we feel in your words is immense. We don’t minimize a single part of it. It is entirely natural to cry out for mercy when faced with such brokenness, and God hears that cry.

In the chaos of so much loss, we want to encourage one simple, concrete step: look for a nearby church community where you can sit with others who will pray with you and, when needed, help connect people to practical support like housing or companionship. The church is meant to be a visible family of refuge, a place where the abandoned find someone willing to show up. You don’t have to carry this intercessory burden alone, and those around you may know specific ways to help a neighbor or a struggling parent.

The journey of grief, whether for a lost child, a broken home, or generations of sorrow, is long and unpredictable. There is no need to rush through it, and you don’t have to have all the answers. What matters right now is that you are bringing these wounds honestly before the Lord, trusting Him to gather each small life and each hurting soul into His care.

Lord Jesus, we lift up the unborn and the lost, every abandoned son and daughter, and all who feel they have no safe place. Shelter them under Your mercy, and raise up tangible help and healing among the broken. Sustain those who mourn, and let Your presence be the home that no human can provide. Amen.

Your cry has come up before the Lord like the sound of many waters, and He is not deaf to it. I can feel the weight behind each word you have written, the little ones taken before they could draw breath, the families scattered, the grinding ache of being abandoned, the longing for some shelter that never seems to come. It is all so tangled and dark that your own mind reels under it, and you wonder whether mercy itself has forgotten your address. But mercy has a way of finding us in the very desert where we thought we must die alone.

I think of the woman Hagar. She had been cast out of the household that should have been her haven, pregnant and despised, and she fled into the wilderness. She sat down by a well and expected nothing but death for herself and her child. Yet the Angel of the Lord met her there, met her in her bitterness and her fear, met her though she was running from the place of promise. He spoke her name, He gave her a hope, and she called Him, “Thou God seest me.” Dear soul, the God who saw a forsaken servant girl sees you. He is not blind to the homes that have been broken, the betrayal of friend and kin, the children left to wander without a roof or a hand to hold. And when you pour out your heart for the unborn babies who have been despised and discarded, you are touching a part of His own heart, for He is the Father of the fatherless and the Keeper of the most tender lives.

I do not doubt for a moment that He receives those little ones. The Good Shepherd gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them in His bosom. They did not need to speak a word of faith or do a single good deed; His own blood is enough. He who said, “Suffer the little children to come unto Me,” will not turn them away. Whatever hatred or neglect they met with on earth, they are now safe in the house where love is the air they breathe. One glimpse of the face of Jesus, and every memory of pain is washed out forever. That is a solid certainty on which to rest your troubled mind.

And for you, so conscious of being a beggar, so bereft of house and family and friend, hear again the ancient word: “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.” It is not a pretty sentiment; it is a covenant promise. You may not have a roof of your own, but Christ is a shelter whose walls no enemy may scale and whose door stands open day and night. He is the true City of Refuge, built for the guilty and the helpless, and He will never hand you over to the avenger. When your own strength has run out entirely, His strength draws near to hold you up. He does not wait until you are respectable or composed; He comes to you in the chaos, in the madhouse of your fears, and speaks a quiet “Peace, be still.”

I would have you notice something else. Your very prayer is a sign that mercy is already on the move. Prayer is the forerunner of the King’s chariot. When God sends a burden, He often sends it to make room for a blessing that was already on its way. Long before you whispered your first cry, the Lord had gone before you, preparing a path through this dark water. Christ Jesus, the great Messenger of the covenant, has been dispatched to your case, and He will not lose one soul that the Father has given Him. The love that provided an ark before the flood began has provided all that you need before you could even name your need.

So do not lose heart. The little ones are with Him. The abandoned meet their true Guardian in Him. And you, though you feel as bruised as a reed and as faint as a smoldering wick, will find Him to be a tender home.

Gracious Lord Jesus, gather into Thine everlasting arms the babies who were cast away before their birth; let them know the joy of Thy presence where no shadow of neglect can fall. Be a roof to the roofless, a family to the forsaken, and a strong tower for all who tremble under a weight of betrayal. When we cannot trace Thy hand, give us the quiet faith to trust Thy heart. Shelter my friend beneath Thy wings until these calamities be overpast, and bring us all at last to that city where there is no more death or crying or any abandonment at all. In Thy merciful name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are deeply moved by the heavy burdens you have shared and the cries of your heart for the unborn, the abandoned, the broken families, and all who are suffering in ways that grieve the heart of God. Thank you for allowing us to stand with you in prayer during this time of profound sorrow and intercession.

We have lifted up these precious lives—the innocent babies lost to abortion, the families shattered by abandonment, the lonely and betrayed, and all who feel forsaken—asking our Heavenly Father to wrap them in His mercy and love. We have prayed for His comfort to surround those who mourn, for His provision to meet every need, and for His Spirit to bring healing to the deepest wounds of the heart. We have trusted Him to receive the little ones into His care, just as Scripture assures us of His tender compassion for the fatherless and the lost.

If God has moved in any of these situations since you first posted, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report—however small—so we may rejoice with you. If the burden still feels heavy and the answers unseen, please know we are still here to lift these needs before the Lord. You are not alone in this fight for mercy and life.

May the Lord continue to strengthen you as you seek Him, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
