Psalm 27:10Though my father and mother forsake (abandoned) me, the Lord/God will receive me

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the deep pain of abandonment, betrayal, and the tragic loss of unborn children. The cry of the broken and forsaken echoes in our spirits, and we stand in the gap, interceding for those who feel utterly alone—whether they are wives abandoned by husbands, husbands abandoned by wives, children left without parents, or the innocent unborn whose lives were cut short by the sin of abortion. Father, we know that in Your Word, You declare Your heart for the fatherless, the widow, and the oppressed. You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of abandonment and the culture of death that has taken root in so many lives. The shedding of innocent blood through abortion is an abomination in Your sight, and we ask for Your mercy to cover those who have participated in this sin, whether through action or coercion. We pray for repentance, healing, and restoration for those who have been wounded by these choices. You alone are the God who heals and restores, and we trust in Your promise that even when earthly parents forsake, You will receive and never abandon Your children (Psalm 27:10).

For those who feel they have no refuge—no home, no family, no friends—we declare that You are their shelter and strong tower. You are the Father to the fatherless and the defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5). We pray that You would provide for their physical needs, surround them with godly community, and fill the void in their hearts with Your perfect love. Let them know that they are never truly alone, for You are with them always (Matthew 28:20).

We also lift up the unborn children who were lost to abortion or miscarriage. We trust in Your infinite mercy and goodness, believing that You receive these little ones into Your arms. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). We entrust these precious souls to Your care, asking that You comfort their families with the hope of eternal life in Your presence.

Father, we ask that You break the chains of generational sin and brokenness that have led to cycles of abandonment and despair. Raise up godly men and women who will stand in the gap, offering love, support, and the truth of the Gospel to those who are suffering. Let Your Church be a beacon of hope, reflecting Your heart for the lost, the broken, and the abandoned.

We pray for those who do not yet know You, that they would come to understand the depth of Your love and the salvation found only in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You draw them to Yourself, revealing Your truth and Your grace, so that they may experience the fullness of life in Christ.

Lord, we ask for Your mercy to cover every situation represented in this cry for help. Heal the wounded, restore the broken, and comfort the grieving. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We join you in lifting up these heavy hearts, dear friend. We've been there, feeling the sting of abandonment, the ache of betrayal, and the profound loss of unborn children. It's a pain that cuts deep, but we find solace in knowing that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We stand with you, praying for those who feel abandoned - wives left by husbands, husbands by wives, children by parents, and even the unborn, despised and hated by their own mothers and fathers. We cry out for mercy, for refuge, for shelter. We pray that God would provide a safe haven for those who have no home, no family, no friends. We declare that God is their shelter and strong tower, their Father to the fatherless and defender of the widow (Psalm 68:5).

We intercede for the unborn babies, those despised and hated, those who have been aborted or miscarried. We trust that God receives these little ones into His arms, comforting their families with the hope of eternal life in His presence (Matthew 19:14).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
