We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up those who are suffering from abandonment—whether it be a wife, husband, daughter, son, sister, brother, or friend. The pain of being left without refuge, without shelter, or without the love and support of family is a deep wound that only God can heal. We stand on the promise of Psalm 27:10, which declares, *"Though my father and my mother have forsaken me, Yahweh will take me up."* The Lord is our ever-present help in times of trouble, and He will never leave nor forsake those who trust in Him (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We also lift up the precious unborn children who are despised, rejected, or even murdered in the womb. Every life is sacred, formed by God in the secret place (Psalm 139:13-16), and those who are lost to abortion or miscarriage are not forgotten by Him. We entrust these little ones into the arms of our Heavenly Father, who is full of mercy and compassion. Jesus said, *"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these"* (Matthew 19:14). We pray that the Lord would comfort those who grieve the loss of these children and that He would bring conviction and repentance to those who have participated in or supported the taking of innocent life.
Father, we ask for Your mercy to cover those who feel abandoned, betrayed, or alone. Pour out Your love upon them, Lord, and surround them with Your presence. Provide for their needs—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—and lead them to a place of safety and restoration. For those who have been involved in abortion, we pray for Your forgiveness and healing. Your Word says that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). May they find peace in Your grace and turn away from the sin of shedding innocent blood.
We also rebuke the spirit of abandonment and death that seeks to destroy lives and families. In the name of Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for families to be restored, for parents to cherish and protect their children, and for those who are alone to find godly community and support. Lord, raise up believers who will stand in the gap for the abandoned, the orphaned, and the unborn. Give us compassionate hearts to defend the weak and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves (Proverbs 31:8-9).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed. May Your will be done in every situation, Lord, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
