Neighbor’s tragedies earthquake emergency Venezuela

Busqueoficioin God

Good and Faithful Servant
Dear Friend,
two massive earthquakes devastated communities across Venezuela, reducing homes and buildings to rubble and leaving thousands of families in desperate need.
The death toll continues to climb — 2,595 dead as of this writing, more than 12,000 reported injured, and more than 60,000 still missing and many presumed dead, tragically. Countless people have lost everything. Rescue crews are still searching through collapsed buildings, while survivors face urgent shortages of food, clean water, shelter, and other essentials.

When people are suffering, Jesus calls His followers to respond with compassion. Through Bridge of Hope, you can help deliver emergency relief and the love of Christ to families whose lives have been shattered by this disaster.
With your gift you will supply emergency food and supplies for those who need it most and you’ll help me continue preaching the Gospel to a lost and hurting world through our Breakthroughbroadcasts.
Please don't wait. Families are hurting right now, and your compassion can make an eternal difference.

Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus in this critical moment.
Scripture reminds us, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done”(Proverbs 19:17). I believe you will be repaid for your generosity.

We lift our hearts in prayer for the people of Venezuela who have been devastated by these massive earthquakes. The loss of life, injuries, and destruction are overwhelming, and our hearts ache for those who are suffering and in desperate need. We stand with them in this time of crisis, asking for God’s mercy, comfort, and provision.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to You. We ask for Your divine intervention in Venezuela. Lord, we pray for the rescue crews as they search through the rubble, give them strength, wisdom, and protection. May they find those who are still missing and bring them to safety. We ask for Your healing hand to be upon the injured, that they may receive the medical care they need and experience Your restoration.

Father, we cry out for the thousands of families who have lost everything, homes, livelihoods, and loved ones. Provide them with shelter, clean water, food, and all the essentials they need to survive. Let them feel Your presence in their grief and despair, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that local churches and relief organizations would be empowered to respond with compassion and efficiency, showing the love of Christ in tangible ways.

Lord, we are reminded of Your Word in Proverbs 19:17, "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done." We ask that You would move in the hearts of Your people to give generously, not just with financial resources, but with time, prayer, and support. May those who are able to help respond with open hearts, knowing that their generosity is an act of worship and obedience to You.

We also pray for the spiritual needs of the people of Venezuela. In the midst of this tragedy, may they turn to You, the only true source of hope and salvation. Let this crisis be an opportunity for the Gospel to be shared, for lives to be transformed, and for many to come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We declare that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May Your light shine brightly in the darkness of this situation.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that seeks to take hold of the people. We declare that You are the God who brings hope out of chaos, life out of death, and restoration out of ruin. We speak Your peace over Venezuela and ask for Your supernatural provision and protection.

We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We’re sitting with the weight of this news alongside you, the images of collapsed buildings, the climbing death toll, and the thousands of families suddenly left with nothing but grief and rubble. That kind of suffering can feel so overwhelming that we wonder if anything we do even matters. But when the body of Christ moves toward pain rather than turning away, even small acts of practical love become glimpses of God’s mercy.

Compassion is more than feeling sad at a distance. It’s the kind of ache that moves us to get involved, to share what we have so someone else can take their next breath. Right now, the most concrete way we can stand with our neighbors in Venezuela is to give, generously, urgently, to trusted ministries that are already on the ground delivering food, clean water, shelter, and comfort. That kind of immediate response (within the first hours and days) is one of the most effective ways to help survivors begin to recover.

We can’t fix everything, and we don’t have to. But we can give, and we can pray, and we can trust God to multiply both in ways we won’t see this side of heaven.

Lord Jesus, you weep with those who weep, and you walked right into the middle of human brokenness. Pour out your mercy on Venezuela. Sustain the rescue workers. Comfort every person who is grieving or searching for loved ones. And put your own generous love in our hearts so that our giving brings real relief and a tangible sign of your presence. Use our hands and our gifts to help people rise. In your strong name, Amen.

The earth indeed reels under the heavy hand of God, and the groaning of creation is heard afresh in these calamities. Yet let us not tremble as those who have no hope, for we read in Scripture that though the earth be removed, and the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, we will not fear, for God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The trembling of Venezuela speaks with a loud voice, but the Lord is not in the earthquake. The rending of rocks and shaking of foundations are but the passing shadows of His power; He works His tenderest mercies and His most enduring works by a still small voice.

The appeal for aid is right and good, for the love of Christ constrains us to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the perishing. But let us not mistake the means for the end, nor put our trust in the magnitude of the gift or the vehemence of the appeal, which is but wind and fire. The Lord may overrule these visible shocks to open prison doors and loose the chains of men bound in superstition and sin, even as the jailer at Philippi was awakened by the earthquake to cry out for salvation. Yet it is not the earthquake that saved him, but the word of the Gospel quietly spoken: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” While you send your relief to the crushed bodies of the sufferers, send too the word of life to their crushed spirits.

Pray that the trembling earth may be the very thing God uses to startle souls out of their false security, so that they might flee to Christ, the only sacrifice for sin, the one Priest and Victim who gives perfect rest to the conscience. The greater earthquake yet looms, when all that can be shaken will be removed, and a tottering mountain shall be called a friend. Oh, that men would escape from the wrath to come by taking Jesus to be their refuge and their strength! Give generously, but give the Gospel more generously still.

Hope on, hope always, for neither earthquake, nor famine, nor any calamity can separate the redeemed from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. The Lord is not in the earthquake; He is in the still small voice that calls men to repentance and faith.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The earth shakes and cities fall, not by chance but by the permission of God, who speaks through such calamities to a slumbering world. You have asked how to respond to this cry for help from Venezuela, and I will tell you plainly. To give alms in a time of urgent need is a work of mercy, and Scripture commands us to remember the poor, especially those who are of the household of faith. The brothers in Jerusalem once sent relief to the afflicted in Judea, every man according to his ability, and that was counted as a sweet savor before God. Do not harden your heart, then, nor shut your hand, when you hear of mothers searching for children beneath the rubble, and men dying without a drop of water.

But be as wise as serpents, for not every appeal that names Christ has a pure heart. Look carefully at this letter you brought me. It mingles the suffering of thousands with a plea to support one man’s broadcast, and it makes a trade of your gift, quoting Proverbs as though you could lend to the Lord and demand high interest. God is not mocked, and He is not a merchant. Alms given for show or for promised gain are already paid in full, with no reward in heaven. The true widow’s mite is given in secret, expecting nothing back from men. When you give, let your left hand not know what your right hand does, and do not sound a trumpet before you, either with your own mouth or through the mouth of a preacher who seeks to enlarge his own platform.

These earthquakes, as it happens, are a call to repent more than a call to fundraise. When the tower fell in Siloam, our Lord did not first ask for a collection, but said, “Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” The great earthquake at the resurrection was a sign of God’s power, rolling away the stone not so that Christ could escape, but so that witnesses might see He was already gone. Earthquakes today open graves and topple houses, and they warn that the end of all things is at hand; let them move you to examine your own foundation. Are you building on sand, storing treasures that moths and rust destroy, where thieves break in and steal? Or is your hope built on the rock, which no tremor can overthrow?

Therefore, I do not forbid you to give. Give, and give generously. But do not give through this channel unless you know it well. It is better to send your money directly to trustworthy brothers who are on the ground, to those who risk their lives in the rubble without a camera, to churches of proven integrity that hand Christ’s love in bread and bandages, not in a television deal. For the apostles, when they had a door opened for them, labored with their own hands, and though Paul was anxious about the absence of Titus, he did not delay the gospel. So do not let the absence of a go-between hinder your charity. Act now, but act with care, lest your sacrifice become the wages of someone’s greed.

Pray without ceasing for the survivors and for those who dig among the fallen stones. Let your gift be a prayer with hands and feet. And let it be joined to a sincere turning from all sin, for the same earth that shakes under the weight of God’s wrath will one day be our bed until the last trumpet sounds. Do not put off the doing of good, for today is the accepted time, and tonight your soul may be required of you.
