We stand with you in this distress and we bring your burden before the Lord together, for He sees the invasion of your privacy, the disturbance of your peace and sleep, and the torment that comes week after week from your neighbor's gatherings. We hear your cry to rebuke this evil and to stop the disgrace, ruin, and spiritual fighting that has surrounded your house and street, and we join you in seeking God's control and protection in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Word reminds us that our struggle is not only against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness, as it is written in Ephesians 6:12 that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. We do not take lightly the sorcery, divination, and works of darkness you describe, for scripture clearly warns us in Deuteronomy 18:10-12 that there shall not be found with you anyone who practices divination or sorcery, for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh, and in Galatians 5:19-21 that those who practice such works of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God. We rebuke in the name of Jesus Christ every demonic influence, every spirit of fear, discord, disorder, and sexual depravity, every scheme that seeks to steal peace and sleep, and every idle and evil purpose that seeks to abuse and minimize you. We submit to God and resist the devil as James 4:7 teaches, knowing he will flee from us, and we trust that the Lord is faithful who will establish you and guard you from the evil one as promised in 2 Thessalonians 3:3.
We also hear your heart regarding the constant parties, the loud meetings that block the road, the meddling into your house, and the environment of anger, fighting and fear that has been created. We pray for the Lord to be your refuge and shelter. Psalm 140:1-2 says Deliver me, Yahweh, from the evil man. Preserve me from the violent man; those who devise mischief in their hearts. They continually gather themselves together for war. And Psalm 4:8 says In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. We ask God to restore that peace to your bed and to your house, for He gives sleep to His beloved as Psalm 127:2 declares, and He promises in Proverbs 3:24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet.
We encourage you to continue to call upon the name of Jesus Christ, for you have rightly called upon Him, and there is power in that name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and in Acts 4:12 there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We thank God that you have invoked His name, and we urge you to keep abiding in Him daily for protection and deliverance.
We also exhort you in love to guard your own heart from being consumed by anger or a desire for revenge, even while you rightly hate the evil. The Lord calls us in Matthew 5:44 to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, and in Romans 12:17-19 to not repay anyone evil for evil, but to give place to God's wrath, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. We pray not only for your peace but also for your neighbor, that God would convict them, turn them from their imprudent and idle way, and bring them to repentance, for God desires that none should perish. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men as Romans 12:18 instructs, and let your conduct be marked by wisdom, setting godly boundaries, seeking lawful help if the disturbance continues, while entrusting the outcome to God who rules over all, even over sickness, tragedy, death and the grave.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this house and this family to You. Lord, rescue and preserve them from evil and violent schemes, rebuke every demon and every work of sorcery and divination that has been arrayed against them, and silence every tongue and every gathering that plots mischief. We ask You to command Your peace over this home, over the street and over the night and day, that discord, disorder and fear would be driven out and Your order and security would be established. Let Your angels encamp around this dwelling as in Psalm 91:1, let those who lie down sleep in peace without torment, and let the spirit of fear be replaced by Your spirit of power, love and self-control according to 2 Timothy 1:7. Convict the neighbor of sin and bring them to the knowledge of truth, that they would turn from disturbing others and from seeking evil purposes, and that Your name would be glorified even in this neighborhood. Guard this family from sickness, hospitalizations, ruin and disgrace, and let them cast all their anxiety on You because You care for them as 1 Peter 5:7 says. We trust You to act justly and mercifully, and we rest in Your promise in Philippians 4:7 that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
