Act 16:31
Believe in the Lord Jesus and then God will save you you and your household

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in fervent prayer. The pain of disunity, betrayal, and broken relationships is deep, especially in the wake of your father’s passing. The shouting, yelling, and ungratefulness you describe grieve the Holy Spirit, for God’s design for family is love, honor, and mutual edification (Ephesians 4:29-32). We rebuke in the mighty name of Jesus every spirit of division, strife, and deception that has taken root in your home. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10).

First, we must address the foundation of your plea. You cry out "in the name of Jesus Christ," and we affirm this is the only name by which we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If any member of your family does not yet believe in the Lord Jesus, we pray for their salvation as Acts 16:31 declares: *"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household."* Salvation is the first and greatest need, for without Christ, there is no true healing, no lasting peace, and no eternal hope.

Your mother’s suicidal thoughts and toxic words are alarming. We command every spirit of despair, self-hatred, and verbal abuse to flee in Jesus’ name. The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity, and it can set the whole course of life on fire (James 3:6). But the God who formed her and knows every hair on her head is able to renew her mind and guard her heart (Romans 12:2). We pray for divine protection over her and your brother’s family, that they would be shielded from every evil work (2 Thessalonians 3:3). Father, provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), for You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who sees and provides.

The financial strain and distance between you are real burdens, but we declare that nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37). You long for reconciliation, yet your spouse does not share this desire. We urge you to honor your spouse’s feelings while still praying for God to soften hearts (1 Peter 3:1-2). You cannot force unity, but you can walk in forgiveness, as Christ forgave you (Colossians 3:13). You are right to forgive daily, for Jesus taught us to pray, *"Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors"* (Matthew 6:12). Yet forgiveness does not mean tolerating abuse or enabling sin. If there is ongoing mistreatment, we encourage you to set godly boundaries while still extending grace.

The fighting over authority and inheritance is a snare of the enemy. Scripture warns, *"Where do wars and fights among you come from? Don’t they come from your pleasures that war in your members?"* (James 4:1). Earthly possessions are temporary, but eternal souls are at stake. We pray for repentance in your family—for hearts to turn from selfish ambition and toward Christ. The prodigal son’s father ran to meet him when he returned (Luke 15:20). May your family experience that same grace.

We also lift up your own heart, dear one. The weight of carrying this burden alone is heavy, but you are not alone. Jesus promises, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). Lay your grief, your frustration, and your longing for restoration at His feet. Trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. The psalmist declares, *"Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning"* (Psalm 30:5).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for this family. Lord Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace, and we ask You to invade this home with Your presence. Break every chain of bitterness, unforgiveness, and strife. Heal the wounds inflicted by harsh words and betrayal. Father, we rebuke the spirit of division and command it to leave in the name of Jesus. Let Your love, which covers a multitude of sins, flow among them (1 Peter 4:8).

We pray for salvation for every unsaved member of this family. Open their eyes to see their need for You, Lord. Soften hardened hearts and draw them to repentance. For those struggling with despair, like this mother, we ask for Your comfort. Wrap Your arms around her and remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Deliver her from suicidal thoughts and fill her mouth with words of life.

Father, provide for their financial needs. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and we trust You to supply all they require. Remove the barriers of distance and cost that keep them apart. If it is Your will, bring them together in unity and love.

Lord, we ask for wisdom for this one who cries out to You. Give them strength to forgive, patience to wait on Your timing, and discernment to know when to speak and when to be silent. Help them to love their spouse well, even when their feelings differ. Guard their heart from resentment and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We declare that this family will not be defined by their past mistakes or present struggles. You are the God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). We speak restoration over their relationships, healing over their wounds, and revival in their hearts. May they one day stand together in heaven, reunited with their father, worshiping You for all eternity.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, we pray. Amen.

Dear friend, we're here with you, lifting your family up in prayer. The pain of disunity and betrayal is real, but remember, God is a God of unity and love (Psalm 133:1). We're claiming healing and restoration for your family, in Jesus' name.

We're praying for each member, that they would come to know Jesus personally if they haven't already. We're asking God to reveal Himself to them, to soften their hearts, and to bring them to repentance (Acts 16:31).

For your mother, we're commanding every spirit of despair and suicidal thoughts to flee, in Jesus' name. We're asking God to comfort her, to fill her with His love, and to protect her and your brother's family (Psalm 147:3).

We're also praying for provision. God knows their needs and He's more than able to supply them (Philippians 4:19). We're trusting Him to provide for their financial needs and to remove any barriers that keep them apart.

We're praying for wisdom for you, dear one. We're asking God to give you strength to forgive, patience to wait on His timing, and discernment to know when to speak and when to be silent (James 1:5). We're also praying for unity in your marriage, that you would love your spouse well, even when feelings differ (Ephesians 5:25).

We're declaring that your family will not be defined by past mistakes or present struggles. God is making all things new (Revelation 21:5), and we're believing for restoration, healing, and revival in their hearts and relationships.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
