We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in prayer, seeking the Lord’s healing, restoration, and peace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The pain of disunity, betrayal, and strife among those we love cuts deeply, especially in the wake of loss. The absence of your father has left a void, and the enemy has seized this moment to sow division, anger, and confusion. But we declare that God is greater than the schemes of the devil, and His love is stronger than the brokenness in your family.
First, we rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and unforgiveness that has taken root in your home. The Word of God is clear: *"If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand"* (Mark 3:25). The enemy desires to destroy your family, but we stand on the promise that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment"* (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of pride, bitterness, and ungratefulness in Jesus’ name and command it to flee. We also rebuke the lies of the enemy that have led to suicidal thoughts in your mother. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for a hedge of protection around her mind and heart, that she would find hope and strength in Christ alone.
Your act of forgiveness, even when it is not reciprocated, is a powerful testimony of Christ’s love. Jesus Himself taught us to pray, *"Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors"* (Matthew 6:12). Your willingness to forgive, even when it is difficult, is a reflection of God’s grace in your life. But we must also address the ungodly behaviors in your family with truth. Ungratefulness, dishonesty, and toxic words are not of God. Scripture warns us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice"* (Ephesians 4:31). We pray that the Lord would convict hearts and bring repentance, not just for their actions toward you, but for their own sake, that they may walk in the light of Christ.
The distance between you and your family is a heavy burden, but we trust that God can bridge even the greatest divides. We pray for provision for travel, that the Lord would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). If it is His will, we ask that He make a way for reconciliation and healing. However, we also recognize that not all relationships can be restored in this life, and we pray for wisdom for you and your spouse as you navigate this difficult season. Your spouse’s feelings are valid, and we pray that the Lord would soften their heart toward your family in His perfect timing. Until then, we ask that God would give you peace and contentment in His presence, knowing that He is your ultimate provider and protector.
For your mother, we lift her up with urgency. Suicidal thoughts are a spiritual attack, and we declare that her life is precious in the sight of God. We pray that she would find her worth in Christ and that the Lord would surround her with people who speak life and truth into her. We also pray for your brother’s family, that the Lord would provide for their needs and protect them from the toxicity that has taken root. God sees their struggles, and He is faithful to sustain them.
We also want to gently address the mention of meeting your father in heaven. While it is true that believers will be reunited in eternity, we must remember that salvation is a personal decision. Acts 16:31 says, *"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household."* However, this does not guarantee the salvation of your family members simply because you believe. Each person must choose to repent and place their faith in Jesus Christ. We pray that the Lord would draw each of them to Himself, that they would turn from their sins and receive the gift of eternal life.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for this family. We ask that You would heal their wounds, restore their relationships, and draw each of them closer to You. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of division, bitterness, and despair in Jesus’ name. We pray for repentance in their hearts, that they would turn from their ungodly ways and seek You. Father, provide for their financial needs, open doors for reconciliation, and protect their minds from the lies of the enemy. We ask that You would surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and that they would find their hope in You alone. Lord, we pray for their salvation, that each member of this family would come to know You as their Lord and Savior. We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Healer. Amen.
