Act 16:31
Believe in the Lord Jesus and then God will save you you and your household

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in fervent prayer. The pain of disunity, betrayal, and strife within a family is a deep wound, and we grieve with you as you endure this torment. The shouting, insults, and ungratefulness you describe are not the design of God for His children. Scripture tells us in Psalm 133:1, "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!" Yet we know the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy the bonds of love and peace that God intends for families. We stand with you in rebuking the spirit of division and strife in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in Matthew 18:19-20, "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them."

We pray for healing in the hearts of your family members, that the Lord would soften their hearts toward one another and toward you. The bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness they harbor are like poison, and only the love of Christ can cleanse and restore. We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict them of their disobedience and lead them to repentance. In 2 Corinthians 7:10, we are reminded, "For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death." May they experience godly sorrow that leads to life and restoration.

We also lift up your mother, who is battling suicidal thoughts and a toxic environment. This is a heavy burden, and we cry out to God on her behalf. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that He would surround her with His peace, comfort, and protection. May He provide a way of escape from the darkness she feels and fill her heart with hope. We declare that her life is precious in His sight, and we rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells her otherwise. In Jesus' name, we command every spirit of depression, despair, and death to flee from her.

We acknowledge the financial strain you face, which adds another layer of difficulty to this situation. The cost of reuniting your family is a real and pressing concern, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and who promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray that He would open doors for provision, whether through unexpected resources, opportunities, or even miracles. May He give you wisdom in managing what He has entrusted to you and faith to trust Him for what you lack.

Your commitment to forgiveness is a powerful testimony of Christ’s love at work in you. Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Your willingness to forgive daily, even when your family does not recognize their wrongdoing, is a reflection of the grace you have received from God. We pray that your example would plant seeds of repentance in their hearts and that they would one day come to understand the depth of your love and the love of Christ.

We also lift up your spouse, who does not share your desire to reconcile with your family. This tension must weigh heavily on your marriage, and we pray for unity between you and your spouse in this matter. May the Lord grant your spouse a heart of compassion and understanding, and may He help you both to navigate this situation with grace and wisdom. In Ephesians 4:2-3, we are called to "be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." We pray that this scripture would be lived out in your marriage as you seek to honor God together.

We declare that your family is not beyond the reach of God’s redemption. The story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32 reminds us that no one is too far gone for the Father’s love. Even when the son was lost in sin and rebellion, the father was watching and waiting for his return. We pray that your family members would come to their senses, as the prodigal son did, and return to the love and forgiveness that awaits them. May they experience the embrace of their Heavenly Father and the restoration of relationships here on earth.

Finally, we pray for your own heart. The pain of watching your family suffer, the strain of financial hardship, and the tension in your marriage are heavy burdens to carry. But Jesus invites you in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." We pray that you would find rest in Him, that He would fill you with His peace, and that you would know His presence in a tangible way. May He strengthen you to continue walking in forgiveness, love, and faith, even when the circumstances seem impossible.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for this family. We ask that You would move in power to heal their wounds, restore their relationships, and bring them into unity. We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and despair in the name of Jesus Christ, and we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds. Provide for their needs, Lord, and open doors for reconciliation. Soften the hearts of those who are hardened, and draw them back to You. Comfort those who are suffering, and fill them with hope. Strengthen this family to walk in forgiveness, love, and obedience to Your Word. We trust in Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We’re holding your family before the Lord with heavy hearts. The weight of loss, the shouting, the betrayal, it all sounds exhausting, and we’re so sorry you’re walking through this.

Because you mentioned your mother is suffering suicidal thoughts, we want to say this plainly: if you or she is ever in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support any time, you can also find a helpline in your country at findahelpline.com. You don’t have to carry this alone, and she doesn’t either.

It’s not unusual for a family to fracture after a father dies. Grief doesn’t simply bring sadness, it often shakes up roles, reignites old conflicts, and leaves everyone scrambling for control in ways that feel harsh and ungrateful. That doesn’t excuse the insults or the yelling, but it may help to know this chaos, while deeply painful, isn’t a sign that your family is beyond hope.

We hear you choosing forgiveness every day, even when their behavior hasn’t changed. That’s the costly, steady kind of love Jesus talks about. Deciding to forgive, to release the debt and not retaliate, is real, even while your heart still aches. And forgiveness doesn’t mean you have to keep absorbing abuse; you can step back and still forgive.

A practical step for now: see if you can gently encourage your mother to speak with a counselor or a pastor near her, someone who can listen and offer steadiness apart from family tension. If talking erupts again next time you reach out, it’s okay to pause the conversation and simply let them know you love them and are praying.

Father, in Jesus’ name we ask You to wrap each family member in Your mercy. Quiet the shouting, guard this mother from hopeless thoughts, and provide for every tangible need. Give wisdom and courage to this dear one who keeps choosing compassion. Bring healing and, in Your time, a reunion marked by peace. Amen.

There is forgiveness with God, yes, there is forgiveness! Let that blessed whisper drown every clamorous voice of despair and disunity. I hear your cry, and it is the cry of a heart that longs for the healing balm of Calvary. You speak of a family torn by betrayal, shouting, ingratitude, and the awful shadow of suicide. But "there is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared." Whatever the sin, however deep the wound, the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth from all sin.

Yet mark this: the repentance that heals a household is not the carnal repentance that merely weeps under judgment, but a repentance unto life, a repentance that gives God glory. It is worked by the Spirit, and it bows at the Cross, seeing sin forgiven and then repenting with a holy grief that hates the sin because it laid such anguish on the Lord. Pray for such a repentance to fall upon your mother, your siblings, upon yourself. For when true repentance enters, pride and strife wither; the shouting becomes a whisper of contrition.

You forgive them each day, and well you do, for you yourself have been forgiven a debt no silver could pay. Since Christ has forgiven you so freely, let it be as natural as breath to forgive others. Their ingratitude, their cruelty, sorrow over it, but commit them to God. "They know not what they do." Let your forgiveness be a window through which they might glimpse the greater forgiveness of the Father.

And for your mother, driven to desperate thoughts, there is forgiveness for her, even now! The Evil One would paint her sin black as hell, but the blood of Jesus speaks better things. God sends this message: "There is forgiveness." No limit, no exception, no delay. Only believe. And to you, standing amid the ruins, I would say: cling to the promise, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Not that all will be saved irrespective of faith, but that God often uses one praying, believing soul to draw the whole household into the net. Pray on, hope on.

The distance and expense hinder reunion, but God is not bound by miles. He can span the seas with His mighty arm. And if, in His providence, you meet no more on earth, yet there is a meeting-place yonder, where the Father's house holds many mansions. In the meantime, rest in this: "He hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things and sure." Even this bitter trial is ordered for your good and your refining.

Look unto Jesus, who is exalted to give repentance and remission of sins. Bring your family to the throne of grace; I will join my petitions with yours. Let the sweet name of Jesus be your battle-cry against the divisions Satan has sown. The Lord rebuke him, and the Lord speak peace to your storm-tossed household. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The pain you describe is a furnace that, if you endure it with thanksgiving, will refine you more than comfort ever could. I see a soul wounded by those it loves, and yet you choose to forgive each day, echoing the words of our Lord, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” This is no small grace. Do not think your forgiveness is wasted because they do not change; your own heart is being healed even as you offer it, and God sees every act of mercy you extend.

You grieve rightly over the sins of your family, the shouting, the ungratefulness, the suicidal despair, the betrayals. Such sorrow is not worldly despair but a share in the groaning of the Spirit. The Apostle teaches that “godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation, a repentance which bringeth no regret.” (2 Cor. 7:10) While you mourn their hard hearts, you yourself are softened. And who can say whether your tears, like seeds, will one day bring forth a harvest of repentance in them? Esau wept, but his tears were not the tears of genuine turning; he sought the blessing, not the change of heart. Pray that your family might not merely regret the consequences but truly turn from the bitterness that devours them.

You mention your father’s death and the strife that followed. This is common to our fallen race: inheritances and authority become idols, and the enemy sows discord. But remember that even Christ foretold such divisions: “I am come to set a man at variance against his father.” (Matt. 10:35) Not that He desires strife, but that the gospel often exposes what lurks in hearts. When families clash, it reveals where our treasure lies. Your mother, you say, suffers suicidal thoughts and a toxic tongue. This is a heavy cross. Yet the commandment remains: “Honor thy father and thy mother.” (Matt. 15:4) You cannot control her words, but you can refuse to return evil for evil. You can speak gently, or if silence is safer, you can honor her by praying for her deliverance and providing for her needs as you are able. God does not demand that you force your spouse to love them, or that you resolve every conflict by your own might. He asks you to be faithful in your own sphere, leaving the rest to Him.

The distance and expense you mention are real burdens, but do not let them crush your spirit. Perhaps God in His wisdom has permitted physical separation for a season to protect you from more harm, or to teach you to rely on prayer rather than proximity. The reunion you long for may come in this life or in the next, but meanwhile you are not idle: you are an intercessor for your household. Remember the promise you quoted: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household.” (Acts 16:31) That salvation begins with you. As you cling to Christ, your faith becomes a living invitation to your family. Do not underestimate the power of a quiet, consistent witness that does not nag but simply loves and forgives.

Above all, take care that this trial does not become a snare for your own soul. When you are tempted to despair or to dwell on their ingratitude, turn your mind to your own sins. Would you have God treat you as you sometimes wish to treat them? You need mercy as much as they. The Apostle warns how terrible it is to crucify the Son of God afresh by willful sin after receiving grace. Yet there is always a place of repentance for those who truly turn. So mourn your own faults, and let your grief for them be purified by humility. “He who grieveth thus on account of others, much more will so do for himself; he who thus weepeth for the sins of others will not pass by his own transgressions unwept.” Your tears for them become a safeguard for you.

Do not be troubled by their seeming rejection of your financial help or their scorn. When you offer kindness, you offer it to Christ, who received spitting and mockery. He understands what it is to be despised by those He came to save. Entrust your acts of love to Him, and He will repay you, whether or not they ever thank you. As for the threats and shouting, do not be surprised if those who live without the fear of God act like brute beasts. Your quiet refusal to join the uproar may be the very thing that eventually shames them. In the meantime, pray for those who curse you, as you are doing, and you will heap coals of fire on their heads, not to destroy, but to melt hardened hearts.

Finally, do not let the fear of death or the hope of a future heavenly meeting be your only comfort. Yes, in heaven there will be no strife, and you will be reunited with your believing father in Christ. But God also gives grace for the present. He sees your finances, your sorrow, your helplessness. Cast all of it on Him. Your mother’s dark thoughts are a bondage only Christ can break; persevere in prayer, and if possible, seek others to support her with gentle counsel. But do not think you have failed if she does not quickly change. You sow the seed; another may water, but God gives the growth.

Continue, then, as you have begun: forgiving daily, weeping with hope, offering help without counting the cost, and looking to the Cross where every wound finds its medicine. The very strife you hate may become the soil in which patience and unshakable peace take root in you. Stand fast, and do not grow weary in doing good. The Lord is near.

The agony in your words is clear, and God sees every tear, every shouted insult, and every moment of that deep betrayal. This kind of fracture within a family, especially after your father's passing, is a wound that feels like an extermination of everything that once held you together. When those who should be your closest kin meet your offers of help with ingratitude and your love with shouting, it cuts to the very soul. But please hear this truth to steady your heart: there is a bond that is deeper and tighter than blood. When Jesus was told His own mother and brothers were outside looking for Him, He stretched His hand toward His disciples and said, "Behold, my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of God, the same is my brother and my sister and mother." By your faith in Jesus Christ, you have been brought into a family whose ties are eternal, a household of God where the fellowship can be closer and more healing than anything found in a natural family that is not united in the Lord.

Your pain is compounded because you are trying to honor your mother even as her tongue turns toxic and her environment breeds suicidal thoughts. The command to honor your father and mother does not expire when they become difficult or even hurtful. It is a foundation God established for all of society, and He attaches a promise to it. You honor her not by endorsing what is wrong, but by continuing to act righteously, by praying for her provision and protection, and by refusing to curse her in return. God knows her fragile state of mind and her heavy burden with your brother’s family. He is the one who can guard them and supply every need, because He understands your finances and your limits. You are doing the right thing by releasing this to Him in prayer, trusting the Father who sees in secret to meet those needs openly.

What you must guard against with a holy vigilance is the root of bitterness. You say you forgive them each day, which shows the Spirit is working in you, for forgiveness is not a matter of keeping a mathematical count. It is a heart that is willing. True forgiveness is like burying the hatchet so deep you never intend to find the handle again. It mirrors God's forgiveness of you, complete, total, and final. When the pain is fresh and the insults still ring in your ears, you must turn your will over to God and pray, "Father, give me the spirit of forgiveness. Take away this bitterness that wants to wrap around my heart." You cannot force this feeling, but you can decide to be willing, and God will supply the capacity for what He commands.

The distance and the expense of travel, together with your spouse's feelings, are circumstances that are genuinely heavy, but they are not roadblocks to the Lord. Jesus made it clear that following Him might cause a sharp separation from our natural relatives, and for many, that has been the painful cost of discipleship. Your love for Christ, and the obedience that comes from it, must exceed even your deep love for your broken family. In that faithful walk, you will find that whatever you have seemingly lost in these shattered relationships, you will gain a hundredfold in the family of God, with brothers and sisters bound to you by a spiritual covenant that no earthly strife can sever.

Do not let your hope be solely fixed on a future reunion after death, though that is a glorious promise for all who belong to Jesus. Rest also in the present reality that you are already one with Christ, and He is not ashamed to call you His brother or sister. You are not an orphan in this storm. You are a child of the Heavenly Father, and you can come boldly to His throne of grace to find mercy and help in this time of need. Pray for their repentance, yes, but keep your own eyes fixed on Jesus, who is the author and finisher of your faith, and let Him heal your soul deep within the unshakeable peace of His family.
