Matthew 19:8-9 "Jesus replied, 'Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery'".
Deuteronomy 24:1-4
If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce,

Galatians 5:21-22 outlines the contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. In verses 21, it lists examples of the "works of the flesh" such as envy, drunkenness, and orgies, warning that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God, the only thing they have is meddling in the another house and my life, is creating confusionsituation with false imitation “he is not is him, she is not her I am not her, they are not our relatives”; rebuke it bewitched confusion to violence my life.

Titus 3:3 describes how believers were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, and enslaved by various passions and pleasures. They lived in malice and envy, and were hated and hated others, and fake ties family, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Easy Divorce
We join with you in prayer together in Jesus' name and we hear the burden you are carrying for your neighborhood and for so many lives being torn apart by divorce, aggression, abuse, violence and domestic strife. We stand with you to rebuke this torment and confusion that seeks to spread like a contagion from house to house, and we bring it before the Lord who is our peace and our protector.

We agree with the truth you shared from Matthew 19:8-9 where Jesus said Moses permitted divorce because hearts were hard, but it was not this way from the beginning, and that anyone who divorces his wife except for sexual immorality and marries another commits adultery. We also remember what the Lord says in Malachi 2:16 that He hates divorce, and in Matthew 19:6 that what God has joined together, let no man separate. Marriage is ordained by God as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and when that covenant is broken through hardness of heart, unfaithfulness, and violence, the ruin and misery that follows does indeed spill over into families, friendships, businesses and the whole community. We rebuke that spirit of destruction, meddling, and sabotage that seeks to be idle and unoccupied in one house and then invade another house with confusion, false imitation, and bewitching lies that say he is not him or she is not her, to create bewilderment and violence in your own life.

The works of the flesh are evident, as you noted in Galatians 5:19-21, which lists sexual immorality, impurity, hostility, strife, jealousy, anger, rivalries, divisions, envy, drunkenness and things like these, and warns that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God, but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control as seen in Galatians 5:22-23. Titus 3:3 also reminds us that we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another, and it is only by God's mercy through Jesus Christ that we are delivered from that.

We also want to gently and biblically address what you mentioned about girlfriends and boyfriends going through bad divorce. In God's design, being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be understood as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, not as a casual partnership. Any sexual intimacy outside of the lifelong covenant of marriage between a man and a woman is fornication or adultery, which God calls sin and which only brings further tragedy and disgrace. We encourage all who are in such relationships to seek purity, to honor God with their bodies as taught in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, and to pursue a godly spouse and a godly marriage that honors Him, rather than continuing in patterns that align with the world's brokenness. And we remember that same sex relationships and marriage are also outside of God's created order and are called to repentance like all sexual sin.

We rebuke the violence and abuse and the demonic confusion that would torment you and your neighbors, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and self-control as taught in 2 Timothy 1:7, and Jesus has promised in John 14:27 His peace which surpasses understanding. We pray for protection over your home and every home nearby, and for justice and safety for those who suffer abuse, and for deliverance for those bound in prison whether physically or spiritually by their own sin and ruin. We pray that no root of bitterness would spring up to defile many as warned in Hebrews 12:15, and that all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry and slander would be put away, with kindness and tenderheartedness and forgiveness toward one another as in Ephesians 4:31-32.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You only through the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved as taught in Acts 4:12, and Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. We thank You for Your mercy that saves us while we were yet sinners through faith in Jesus who died and rose again. Lord, we rebuke in Jesus' name every spirit of divorce, violence, aggression, domestic abuse, confusion, bewitchment, meddling, envy and malice that seeks to ruin families and neighborhoods and to create false ties and false identities. We command it to leave and we submit ourselves to You and resist the devil as taught in James 4:7 and we know he will flee, for we are sober and watchful because our adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour as taught in 1 Peter 5:8.

Lord, bring Your peace to this neighborhood, let Your perfect love cast out fear, and let those who are hurt and divorced and broken find healing and restoration in Christ. For those who have been victims of abuse, provide safety, wisdom, godly counsel and protection, and for those who have caused harm, bring conviction, repentance and true transformation. Heal the trauma of every woman and man who has been through a bad divorce, and guide those who are now in courtships to pursue holiness and to seek a godly marriage that honors You, fleeing fornication and all impurity. Let Your Spirit produce love, joy, peace and self-control in every heart and home, and as far as it depends on us, let us live at peace with all as taught in Romans 12:18. We ask that You stop the contagion of ruin and tragedy and instead let Your redemption and reconciliation flow from house to house.

We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope, amen.

We hear how wearying it is to live near so much conflict and to feel like that tension is spilling over into your own life and neighborhood. It makes sense you would feel on edge and want God to bring calm and protection over your home and community.

When there is shouting, aggression or any threat of harm nearby, your safety matters first. If you ever feel unsafe, we encourage you to reach out right away to a trusted pastor, counselor or a safe person in your community who can walk with you in person, alongside prayer.

We also hear your heart for so many others walking through painful breakups and divorces. That is a lot to carry, and we are joining you in asking God to bring healing, steadiness and wise support around each person who is hurting.

Father, we bring this neighborhood and every person affected by divorce and conflict before You in Jesus name. Cover this home with Your peace, guard those who feel vulnerable, and lead each one toward safety, wise counsel and healing in Your care. Amen.

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and it is a heavy one, full of sorrow and confusion, of violence and ruin spreading from house to house. The Lord knows the torment in the neighborhood, the misery that follows upon hard hearts, and the tragedy that comes when the covenant of marriage is broken. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction grow up from the ground as hemlock from the furrows, but the Lord Himself kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door, and even that which comes distinctly from the malice or violence of man may yet be overruled by His special love and chastening hand.

You have done well to remember the word of our Lord Jesus, that Moses permitted divorce because of hardness of heart, but it was not so from the beginning. Marriage as God ordained it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and what God has joined together, let not man put asunder. When that bond is torn, whether by unfaithfulness or by cruelty and abuse, the wound is deep and the ruin is real, and the works of the flesh which you have named, envy and malice and strife and uncleanness, are revealed for what they are. They will not inherit the kingdom of God, and those who walk in them, as Titus reminds us, live as those once foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by passions, hating and being hated.

Yet there is hope, for God has not left us without a ransom. Let it never be forgotten that in all that God does He acts from good reasons, and He has found a ransom for those going down to the Pit. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it Himself. The prisoner ready to be executed finds undeserved deliverance, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. Deliverance from the guilt of sin and deliverance from the power of sin are both the work of God alone. It is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He must deliver us from the fascinating power of sin and from the power of darkness, or we shall never be free indeed.

Therefore we look to Christ alone. There is no balm in Gilead apart from Calvary, and the least thing about Christ has healing in it. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even a broken word from His lips bears healing for a thousand ills. He keeps back the soul from the Pit and life from perishing by the sword, and He preserves His people from all evil, even from insidious errors and deceitful sins.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, You have shown us in Your word that You hate violence and that You chasten those whom You love. We bring before You this neighborhood and every home wounded by strife, by domestic violence, by divorce and by the confusion that meddles in another house. Rebuke, we pray, the works of darkness and the idle malice of the enemy, and deliver souls from going down to the Pit. We ask not that You would bless what is contrary to Your holy ordinance, but that You would have mercy upon every woman and every man, every soul wounded by a bad divorce, and upon those now living in relationships outside Your covenant of marriage, that You would bring them to repentance, to faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and to walk in purity and holiness. For those who are in danger or in prison, for those who suffer abuse, grant protection, grant lawful help and godly counsel, grant true repentance where there has been cruelty, and grant comfort where there has been disgrace and ruin. Heal, O Lord, by the leaves of that heavenly tree, and let the very least of Christ be healing to the broken hearted. Raise up those who have been bowed down, that they may not die but live and declare the works of the Lord, and may give thanks that You have graciously said, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.
